Delicious juices and smoothies, made to order? The best. The owners are awesome and the staff is friendly, and the food is good. What more could you ask for? Get the Green Monster and ask them to add a dash of ghost pepper salt. yum.

Every time I go to Tico’s I’m impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. My favorite is the Costa Rican Salad. My son ordered a panini that was excellent. The staff is nice, too.

I was craving a veggie juice when I walked by this place. Luckily Tico’s was able to fulfill my craving. A delicious kale juice at a reasonable price.

Ordered a Caribbean jerk chicken wrap and I got sick from it. I would only come here for juices. I do not trust their cooking any longer.

These guys are top-notch. Definitely the best juicery in the area because the juices are made to order. They use a centrifugal juicer which is OK with me, and they have pressed juices that are bottled. I got exactly what i expected. Prices are very reasonable. Remember, fruits and veggies are not cheap. Staff was very friendly as well.

This place has the best juices & smoothies. Probably the best one I’ve been to and I’ve been to a good handful or two. My favorite is the super green drink! The staff is super nice here, as well.

everything seems average — the one downside about this place is that they run out of ingredients rather frequently. i guess this means theyre doing well? i highly doubt they are making anything off their prepared salads… macaroni salad and wheat berry salad both tasted like its been sitting for too long. juices are cheaper here in comparisons to Arlees.

This is one of my favorite spots in Princeton. Great ambiance, generous and helpful staff, and of course, AMAZINGFOOD. The quesadillas are unmatched the world over, produced/baked through a unique process that results in the tastiest quesadilla you’ve ever had. Renee and her staff are amazing.

Best juice place in Princeton. Fresh ingredients and lots of options for a standard juice price. I love Tico’s special and Hangover cure. Interesting and unique juice combos really make this place worth a visit. The food selection ranges from bagels to salads and burritos. I have not had many of these as I usually stop just for the juice.

I had a fantastic smoothie here the other week — I believe it was called«The Costa Rican.» Absolutely delicious, would return for another one. Also ordered a simple panini, which was pretty good as well. I like that they featured menus that offered paninis and similar dishes on one side and quesadillas, tacos, burritos, etc., on the other. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll give that side a try. Unfortunately, the service was a bit rude, as others have mentioned.

I came here at 10 in the morning to get a breakfast sandwich. There were no other customers in the place and the lady behind the counter looked as though she’d had nothing to do for a little while. I walked in and asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese, and she turned to the man next to her and asked, «are we still doing breakfast?» and he nodded before disappearing in the back. About 5 minutes later, he emerged with my the sandwich, and soon I was on my way. When I got home I was disappointed to see that they used a pre-cooked egg patty and pre-cooked bacon and just heated them up. It wasn’t very good at all, and I only ate a couple bites. I probably won’t be back.

Fresh juice at a reasonable price. I enjoyed the combination of fresh fruits/veggies in their signature drinks. I recommend the«hangover» and«cold and flu.»

Just had a terrible experience at Tico’s. It was my first time going in there so I took a little longer than usual to decide what I wanted. The board of smoothies was the first thing I saw when I walked in. The owner of the place took my order. As he was going to back to get the ingredients for my smoothie I noticed the juice bar and decided to change my order to a green juice. When he came back from the back room with the ingredients I apologized and asked if it would be ok if I switched my order to a juice. The guy SLAMMED what he was holding down on the counter and said«maybe you shouldn’t be here if you don’t know what you want!» WOAH!!! In what universe is that an ok way to talk to a customer let alone a human being?! Needless to say I promptly left the place with a disgusted look on my face. I work at a bakery and would be fired on the spot if I ever talked like that to my customers or my coworkers. Being around rude and nasty people ruins my appetite. If I had stayed and gotten the juice I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it. In order for food to be good, It needs to be made a given with love in a welcoming environment– its not just about taste.

INSHORT: Tasty, well-portioned, and well-priced food perfect for a take-away lunch. Despite an ordinary, strip-mall atmosphere, the juices standout as light and full of natural, earthy flavors. THESTORY: I just recently started coming to Tico’s as I had been getting way too disappointed with the lack of salad offerings at Olives across the street. On this front, Tico’s is a real gem. The salads are perfectly portioned, and the Costa Rican Salad has become my favorite, with fairly fresh romaine lettuce, marinated steak, cotija cheese, black beans, corn, and avocado. The menu really does fill that hole in Princeton’s light to-go lunch options, and with the quesadillas, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, tacos, and burritos also available, there is something to satisfy any afternoon craving. The Veggie Deluxe quesadilla is another favorite, with roasted red peppers, marinated portobello mushrooms, spinach, cheddar, and feta cheese. I only wish the eatery was open after 4PM so I could snag one of these for the occasional dinner. The menu continues with some of the freshest juices and smoothies in Princeton, made right in front you at the juice bar. Though I have never been a huge fan of green juice, Tico’s Green Monster with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, green apple, lemon, and ginger, might be the juice to convert me. Meanwhile I’ll get started on my juice cleanse with the Californian, with apple, peach, and pear, and some of the«Helping Hand» juices like the Fat Burner with orange, grapefruit, mixed herbs, radish, and apple. While the space itself is a little underwhelming, there is typically plenty of seating, making it a nice, low-key break from many of the other eateries and restaurants in town. Tico’s is a place that will make you feel good about being a regular.

This is an update about their food. Tried out their lunch options today and was satisfied but not impressed. The Napa Valley chicken panini had an unusual vinaigrette dressing that was a bit off putting for me, and the turkey harvarti panini was only average. But the prices were quite reasonable and their drinks are still solid. Update #2: Came back and tried a turkey wrap. Was good, but could have done without the balsamic vinegar(thankfully it was only lightly applied). The tortilla wrap itself is MUCH better than than the one at Princeton Soup and Sandwich(whose tortilla wrap was stiff and hard).

This is the first juice bar I have ever been to, unless Jamba Juice counts as a juice bar, too. I tried the peaches with carrot juice, and it was pretty good, a bit on the sweet side. The drink was lukewarm, but it’s good to know you’re getting 100% juice and not 50% juice, %50 ice. I asked for sides of hummus and rice pudding. They were both good, too. BUT the lady didn’t have any pita, and I wasn’t forewarned that she didn’t have pita. Too embarrassed to say I no longer wanted hummus, I ended up buying potato chips to eat the hummus with. Although I’m giving it 3 stars, I might go again to try other juices and to see if they are all so sweet. Another thing is that there’s a $ 10 minimum for credit/debit.

This review is strictly on their juices. I love drinking natural fruit/green juices but I am too lazy to actually juice myself. I frequent Tico’s specifically for their fresh juice. Compared to other places in the area, Tico’s offers the cheapest juices. They have a wide variety of fresh produce and you can even add shots of wheatgrass, protein power and yogurt. Try the Pura Vida; guava, banana and pineapple. You can also make your own combinations.
