We experienced the Irish influenced wine pairing dinner. It was great! Very light 4 course meal, yet rich and well paired with four wines… Voignett, Chardonnay, Mouvedre & the Grenache… everyone’s different but I loved the Voignett and the Mouvedre… favorite course was actually the appetizers… cheeses, stuffed mushrooms, and caramelized onion baguettes! Yes my mouth is still watering just typing about it! It was such a treat! Especially being #kidfree :D

My hubby and I attended a wine tasting event last Friday evening in Charlotte NC. I had an exceptional Chardonnay, the Milbrandt 2009 Evergreen. It just exploded in my mouth and I dare say, it has become my new favorite. Just delicious!

Which winery isn’t going to be part of Spring barrel tasting? This one! Another pretentious expensive winery with boring wines.

We visited Millbrandt tasting room in the fall of 2012. The tasting was very nice in that the staff was quite friendly. The wines were great and we enjoyed the various reds and red blends. One wine that was not on the tasting list was a blend called Mosaic. Well, i brought two bottles of the Mosaic and some others in the cellar. Opened one in December and WOW! maybe one of the best wines ever. My wife said it was the best we tasted in Columbia Valley and we had tried some really good wine.

The best wines we had in our Prosser tour. Their reds were really delicious, and we went home with half a case. I love the sit-down tasting that they do. It makes it more relaxing and easier to enjoy the wine! The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly, and tolerant of our toddler(yes, we brought her wine tasting). The outdoor patio was full when we were there, but sitting inside was just as lovely – cushy couches and a fireplace. Loved it!

Really nice atmosphere. The wine is ok, I didn’t really find one that I had to have. When you do the wine flight they bring all three pours at once, equals about 1 glass in total. We ordered an hour derv plate, which had really high quality cheeses and what not on it($ 15). Problem is that the plate of food came out way, way after our wines. On several occasions I almost cancelled the order. I wanted to eat the hour dervs with my wine.

Had lunch at Milbrandt;great service and food. The Milbrandt(antipasti) plate is amazing. My wife and I split that and the chicken salad sandwich; also very good and had some to take home. We had a very nice wine tasting the day before, our favorites were the Sentinal and Rose.

My husband and I visited the Milbrandt Vineyards tasting room in Prosser recently and loved it. The tasting room is beautiful with two outdoor seating areas. The wine and service are both top notch! We would highly recommend stopping here the next time you are in Prosser.

I tasted 4 Milbrandt Vineyards wines at Preservation Kitchen in Bothell; Tasting Fee = $ 6 — 2007 Riesling Traditions [$ 14] You’ll smell peaches and apricots on the nose Dry style, not sweet A nice touch of acidity Clean finish Very enjoyable and a wonderful value — 2007 Evergreen Chardonnay [$ 17] A floral nose Crisp and yet light a luscious core of apple and vanilla Minerality on a long finish — 2006 Estate Malbec [$ 24] Deep ruby color I detected caramel on the nose Good and jammy Very smooth mid-palate and finish Supple and velvety Drink now — 2006 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon [$ 28] This tastes like Wahluke Slope A very dark purple color Hints of cassis & smoke Soft, long, vivid finish Lovely tannins May benefit from cellaring, but can be drunk now All good values, All solid efforts

Millbrandt has a beautiful tasting room in the heart of Prosser. Walking in, you notice the gift shop aspect of it… kitchen items, cookbooks, soaps. We tasted their Petit Sirah, Merlot, Cab Sauvignon and Late Harvest Riesling. I thought the Petit Sirah was a lovely drinking wine on its own, though my boyfriend was wishing for more flavor. He loves huge flavor where I like a more subtle, everyday-drinking wine. He also pairs wine with food, so that might be another difference in our wine evaluations. When we received our Cab Sauv pour, we were told by the pourer that it would be the«best cab we’ve ever tasted». A bold statement, though it really was the best cab we had tasted that day. The Cab certainly had a strong enough character to entice us to buy a couple of bottles. The Late Harvest Riesling was a sweet peachy-apricoty goodness, actually one of the best late harvests I tried all weekend.
