I happened across this gem because it was listed in my hotel info as the only wine tasting room with a late closure. Well the tasting room was indeed closed upon arrival at 7:00, but… they were serving dinner with wine pairings, and what a find! The skirt steak w/Syrah pairing was absolutely fabulous. It’s also known as Wine o’Clock.

They did not participate in the Wine and Chocolate weekend but I don’t blame them. They don’t need those kind of promotions to sell their wines. The tasting fee of $ 5 is immediately recaptured by any purchase. The 2009 River Aerie Riesling was surprisingly good, not overly sweet, but packed a punch in the fruit department. I realize their restaurant, Wine O’Clock is totally separate but just want to mention that the menu looked really good. Probably the nicest place to eat in all of Prosser.
