Amazing food. Pre fixed menu is the best. For $ 50 you get 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and a choice of bottle of wine or pitcher of sangria, mimosa or margarita.

Seems like a nice place to be a regular. I got«The Special» The eggs were cooked perfectly, toast was good, and the home fries were great! Yummy seasoning. Also got a waffle, although a bit small in my opinion considering the price, but nonetheless good. Crispy, just the way I like them! I’ll probably opt for pancakes next time, though. All-in-all, good and attentive server, and good food. Will be coming back!

Did not honor my 15 $ for 30 $ coupon because apparently you can only use it for dinner(no where on the deal does it state this). «Manager» was rude about it. Attempted to use the deal a second time and was told it had expired. Don’t offer Unilocal deals if you won’t honor them if your customer is getting«too good» of a deal. Screw this place. I would give negative 5 stars if I could. Aldo the bloody Mary I got tasted like hot sauce mixed with peppercorns

DELICIOUS, nice set up and excellent service. My husband and I have been trying a lot of breakfastspots lately and this is by far one of the bests. His omelet with bavarian ham, caramelized onions and cheese was to die for, and their freshly baked thick slice bread for toast was perfection. All I had was a simple breakfast sandwich on a croissant but everything about it was amazing– especially the fluffy sweet croissant. I literally can’t stop talking about how good it is. We received our food and drinks so quickly and the cappuccinos came with great presentation. We will definitely be back.

I went on a weeknight around 5:00 for dinner and was seated right away. The waitress was extremely nice and welcoming! We ordered a special and the chicken parm, and the food took a while longer than we expected, since there were only two other tables there. When the food finally came, the presentation was beautiful! However, the food was just alright. I have had better food from here! Overall, pleasant experience.

I’ve been here before and never had a bad experience. Today I went for breakfast for the first time and it was amazing. I had the vanilla pancakes and I’m so obsessed, they’re definitely the best pancakes ever. The waitress was super nice as well and the food came quick. Overall I definitely recommended this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Went for brunch the other day. Was told it would be 15 – 20 minute wait and ended up being over a half hour for four people but they were very apologetic on here. Server named Mike was very attentive despite it being a packed house. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had purchased the Unilocal $ 15 for $ 30 deal and notified the server of that when he brought the bill. Was told the deal was for dinner only despite the fact that the page didn’t say anything. Our server ended up talking to the manager and they took 30% off our bill instead which ended up being about $ 20 off. A bit of an annoyance but the food was just that good, it still gets four stars.

Right smack dab in the middle of Federal Hill, you’d think they would know what they were doing in terms of Italian food. I hate giving bad reviews, but this place was just awful. The drinks were meh, the food was just bad, and the service was pretty sub par as well, despite the restaurant being almost empty. The food was probably the most disappointing part of the whole experience. The arancinis were just weird. They had frozen peas and I think some short rib and rice so overcooked it was basically mush. I got some sort of chicken parm type dish with a layer of eggplant and prosciutto and the chicken was so thin and so dry I could barely cut it. The pasta tasted like it came out of a box from the grocery store. The sauce was the one redeeming quality, it was pretty good with fresh basil in it. We got the tiramisu for desert and the cake was so saturated you could squeeze the liquid out of it. The staff was friendly and nice but they were so slow despite the fact that we were one of the only tables in the whole restaurant. Being that this place is located on Federal Hill along with some of the most incredible Italian restaurants in the Northeast, this place was a huge let down.

Had a late breakfast here on a Saturday. Plenty of open seating but I sat at the bar. They serve breakfast until 3pm on Saturdays, nice for us lazy folk. I got a simple breakfast but it was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portion size was great. Bar service was good also. They have a full bar and café drinks. Would like to go back and try lunch or dinner. :)

Christmas Eve a/k/a Virgilia — 12÷24÷15 — The food was 5 stars, fresh, authentic, perfect portions for multiple courses, great presentation. I felt compelled, however, to rate the restaurant 4 stars, due to the poor condition of the interior/exterior. The place is in desperate need of an overhaul. Suggestions: Invest in some cloth napkins, purchase some nice, decent quality seating, paint and make the place a bit more elegant and sophisticated to match the quality of food! Also, convert the stairs to dining room to a ramp to make the place handicap accessible. Sitting in the bar area was a total bummer. If your aim is to be one of the finest on Federal Hill, the ambiance and clean-up are a must! Our waiter mentioned that chef from Mediterraneo was on staff! Again, food was superb!

If you want a great place for a small gathering of friends this is your place! The amount of money you pay for what you get is greatly skewed in your favor. The dinner for 2 prix fixe which can be dinner for 4 or 6 depending on your party, no limits to who can partake, is $ 49.99. This is offered everyday of the week! You get your choice of a large pitcher of SANGRIA, MIMOSA, MARGARITA, MORETTIBEER or a bottle of wine to split between 2 people. Then you get a choice of house, casaer, caprese(!!!), or an enormous bowl of soup. Now the best part is you basically pick whatever you want on the menu for a meal, anywhere from a sandwich to their entrees(some entrees are around $ 23 and guess what — INCLUDED!!) Then you followup with dessert(gelato-tons of flavors, biscotti, or tirimisu. So we had a party of 4 and everyone was so very impressed. I got the pitcher of sangria(I don’t remember which one because there were about 4 to choose from), the caprese salad, Zuppa Di Pesce Mediterraneo – this was something they took off of Mediterraneo when that restaurant closed. It was a large bowl of a variety of seafood, came with choice of a side. Then I got the cappachino gelato. This meal was absolutely amazing and only $ 25 each! You can’t go wrong. The service was wonderful, I am so impressed, I have told all of my friends to plan their next outing there!

Amazing. Just amazing. Had an issue with my hotel reservation(the hotel next door) so I spent most of my day at the bar. I had breakfast and lunch. Both amazing. Price is perfect staff gives world class service. Racheal and Ann are just great. They made me feel at home while I waited to get in my hotel room. I may not stay at the hotel again. But I sure will visit these two girls when ever I’m in providence. Thanks again for making me feel comfortable in your establishment. The wings and stuffed cherry peppers, YUMM!

Was there last weekend and the server was not on her game at all. Usually it’s a much nicer experience. We had drinks and desserts. Drinks were good. The dessert came but we never got silverware and then I asked for a latte without cinnamon and hot cinnamon and then it took a long time to get it corrected. I think she had too many tables and could not keep up. This is a tough area to do business in with so many places to choose. Was there sunday evening.

My go to al fresco restaurant. What I like about Dolce Vita is it’s not a sidewalk café — it’s located a good 125 — 150′ off Atwell’s Ave in De Pasquale Plaza, sure it’s not right next to the fountain but it’s in easy view. If you’re going in the evening there’s always a singer on the plaza. That said I usually go there for a relaxing Sunday brunch. The service is always friendly & casual, not you’re typical Boston stuffiness imo. Food — I usually end up with pancakes or French toast with sausages. Never ending coffee but my wife enjoys the mimosa. They also offer specials where you can get a decent breakfast for 5 — $ 6. Last thing — be prepared to meet new friends here, I can’t count how many times a tourist will strike up a conversation with a neighboring table.

Beautiful night to sit outside and enjoy the city. Live music in DePasquale Square was nice. Food is really average and the wine list is minimal, but what it lacks in flavor it has in ambiance and service. The prices are great too!

This is the only café open for breakfast on Federal — it is located in the piazza near the bright yellow building. The staff are friendly and efficient. My travelling companion had steak, mushrooms, spinach and eggs which she said was cooked perfectly. I had the French toast with a side of bacon and it was amazing I have never had cinnamon butter before — what a revelation. The cappuccino was nice and dusted with cinnamon.

The tiramisu was good! Not mindblowing but a solid portion to share with my fiancé. Creamy and decadent but DOUSED with a heap of cocoa powder so I had to scrape quite a bit off. It’s worth noting that my wine pour was quite generous, so that’s much appreciated. We initially tried to eat outside but once seated no one came over to take our order, so after about 10 minutes we popped inside and sat at the bar. Quick service after that!

I remember the first time I went to Dolce was for a work lunch. Sat on the outside patio — discussing a radio buy for the place I was working — and having a wonderfully fresh lunch portion of penne with grilled chicken. I went home and immediately made plans to take my — now wife — then girlfriend — for dinner later that week. Fast forward about 8 years and I find myself craving a good dish of pasta while passing historic Federal Hill. With winter ending 3 weeks into spring, Depasquale Square is still in shambles. No outdoor tables. No smiling diners. No life. But I knew that inside, wonderful flavor was waiting for me. I was greeted and sat immediately — as there was only one other party dining in. I checked the time and I had just missed the lunch combo special — but I knew that just meant I would be treated to a dinner size portion. Knowing good and well what I wanted — I ordered. Chicken noodle soup and penne arribbiata with grilled chicken and spicy sausage. The soup — which is undersold simply as «chicken noodle» was bursting with flavor. The«noodle» looks like it may have been cut up spaghetti and the broth was tremendous. Was it the chicken? Did they spike it with wine? Who knows — but it went down fast and smooth. The pasta arrived promptly after I finished the soup and the portion was deceivingly large. Topped with a huge sprig of basil, I dug in. Perfect al dente cook, juicy chicken and large pieces of sausage. From time to time there is a slightly overpowering taste of cheese in the sauce — which is invisible to the eye — so be mindful before you sprinkle any Parmesan on top. I opted out of dessert — but left full, satisfied, and ready to return sooner rather than later.

What a unique find in federal hill known as little Italy. A few locals we spoke with recommended it so we gave it a try. Upon walking in I noticed its not a typical Italian restaurant. The décor is a little funky and different. The service was excellent and the girl who waited on us helped us with the menu options. They offer breakfast options all day. Yes breakfast! Like eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles etc. Plus many other Italian food options. Food was great. Sangria was awesome. I would recommend this to others and I’d go back again.
