I come here often after work if I’m not in the mood to cook. The reason it gets 3 stars is because it’s your typical OTC chinese takeaway place, but don’t get me wrong, it’s a good pick! They are quick and have a nice staff. It’s convenient personally because it’s by the subway station and has a decent variety for OTC(about 15 different big pictures overhead to choose from) I usually get the lo mein or chicken wing combo. If you spend more than $ 10(around there) you get a free soda of your choice, not bad. Their pork fried rice is spot on and the way they package and staple it up ensures it’s always piping hot which is crucial on those blustery winter nights! Not a huge place with only about 4 – 5 tables, but I also have never seen it full nor close to it. The only thing I advise against getting is their half chicken combo because the last and only time I did, it was mostly bones :(If you need a quick fix for quality chinese food, definitely give it a try — you won’t be dissapointed!

Best take-out Chinese food in the Forest Hills/Kew Gardens area. Food is good, prices are cheap and delivery is quick, not too much else to say.

So far this is my favorite take out place in the upper Forest Hills area. Quick delivery and very nice staff.

NOTGOOD! Over sauced with pre-made garbage. Sesame wonton had a a jar of peanut butter on top and the lo main was tasteless. Unfortunately on the hunt again for decent Chinese takeout in forest hills.

Love this humble clean and reliable Chinese restaurant, have bee to this place for the last 3 years, always good food, nice comfortable low key atmosphere. Food is authentic, good portion and good taste!

A more«hip» Chinese take out compare to other traditional uniform CTO. They accept all major Credit Cards. Taste not bad, most Chinese take out use the same uniform sauce and style anyway. Just their fried stuff is a little dry, probably need to lower the oil heat.

Yummy chinese food, the best in the neighborhood.

This is probably the best Chinese takeout in the area. We’ve had some pretty tasty dishes here, including dumplings, cold sesame noodles, deep fried stuff, classic protein + broccoli, soups, mei fun and lo mein. Delivery is crazy fast — but be careful on the roads here guys, safety first! They’re nice enough on the phone, and the storefront is reassuringly clean.

I find King Garden to be very, very good. The food is excellent and the person at the front couldn’t be nicer and more accommodating. I highly recommend them!

General Tso’s chicken was a huge let down, must have been made a few days ago, so tough I broke the plastic fork in it, ended up just dumping it:(So much for my bi-weekly treat! Very disappointed!

King Garden has fast delivery and consistently hot and delicious Chinese dishes including Mai fun noodle soup, spring rolls, Hunan dishes, and fresh homemade hot Chinese mustard. Their delivery time is lightning fast and the food is piping hot. The order is taken with ease as they have programmed in our apartment number and building so as to expedite the phone call. You can ask for different combos off the menu in terms of meats and seafood when ordering from the dinner menu. It’s a convenient location and they have service with a smile and are eager to accommodate. I highly recommend this place. They get the order right every time. No exceptions. Also a free can of soda with entrée is offered within a certain spending threshold.

I decided to try KG last week and had the food delivered. I ordered 3 dishes(steamed pork dumplings, roast pork fried rice & beef chow fun). In my opinion, the food was under seasoned and lacked any flavor. I grew up eating Chinese food for most of my life and this food was average at best. The fried rice didn’t taste fresh, seemed like it was made a few days ago and they just reheated it. The chow fun had even less flavor and had to put lots of soy sauce just to make it edible. Not a good first experience so I am undecided if I should try this place again. There are a number of good reviews for this place but this is just my opinion. So even though my experience wasn’t the best, you may like the food more than I did.

This is by far the best Chinese takeout in the Forest Hills/Kew Gardens area. We have tried literally every other place in the area and have found they are all inconsistent. Their General Tsos is very good.

Great dumplings, tasty food. The Chow fun is really good as well, but the dumplings are great!!! They are not very friendly… but thats okay, the food is worthy, and if u buy over 10 $, you get a Can drink free.

I came on a late night after work and decided to try some local Chinese food around my way. By local, I simply mean I can roll myself home if need be. This is perhaps one of the more spacious storefront that I’ve been to dedicated just for Chinese Take-out. Make no mistake, it is not only spacious but CLEAN. In fact, as I was ordering one of the workers there was mopping the floor using FRESH bleach(I know for those who are not waiters or never worked in a restaurant setting before might be quick to roll your eyes at this comment but believe me I’ve seen restaurants REUSE bleach from the day before so fresh bleach really is an indication of how the restaurant is ran, PROPERLY). I ordered my usual go-to meal which is the chicken with string beans(talk about AMAZING!). Everything from the presentation to the no mice poop in my rice was just bonuses to my meal. If you are around the area, this is the Chinese take-out spot to go to. On a side note, do come during the weekday as there is a nice gentlemen that reminds me of the same guy that sells you batteries and rubber duckies on the subway. He is super friendly.

First, the location on the map is incorrect. It is located a few doors west of 78th Ave and the closest subway is the E/F at Kew Gardens /Union Turnpike. I have had lunch there several time a month since they opened, and generally been happy with the quality of the food… However, I had an incident with them today that will prevent me from returning. I ordered a takeout entrée with chicken for lunch, schlepped it back to the office only to find out they made it with shrimp(which I am allergic too). I schlepped back to King Garden, and they did apologize, and were able to see on the receipt that I had requested chicken, and then offered to make it right. I specifically requested that it be remade as I am allergic to shrimp. A few minutes later it was ready, and I headed back to the office only to discover a piece of shrimp buried in the middle of the dish. So, instead of remaking it, they simply pulled out the shrimp(that they could find), added chicken to it, and handed it back to me. Not OK… I understand they don’t want to be wasteful, but this is not how you handle this… If they wanted to just pull the shrimp and replace it with chicken, they should have asked if I would mind. Instead, they lost a customer.

Food very good for a takeout joint, but is painfully slow. I give it 4 stars because the food is very good. Aside from having two speeds, slow and stopped. If you have patience, the food is worth it.

Dear King Garden, I waited over an hour for my food to be delivered. Wait, I lied. The food never arrived! If I’m ordering Chinese delivery, it usually means I’m lazy, tired or cranky and just want to stuff my face with greasy goodness. Now King Garden, if you’re going to open a take out/delivery place, you should at least be familiar with the area that you are serving to. I live a mere 10 minute walk from your restaurant and yet your delivery guy gets lost when he was only 1 block away! He walks 1 block in the other direction and gives up because he’s lost. Oh, and when were you going to call me to inform me that he was lost and that I will not be getting my food? Were you waiting for the hunger pains to gnaw at my stomach before I realized that it was over an hour since I had ordered? So now here I am 90 minutes later and waiting for the other dependable Chinese take out to feed me. I will never stray again. Why did I? Oh yes, I was tempted by your shiny new store front and saw you had fried scallops so I picked up a menu. Those fried scallops never fail to elude me. Signed, Still Hungry. — — — — — — — — — - The Unilocal map shows the incorrect location. King Garden is further east down Queens Blvd. closer to 78th Ave.
