Kringles are delicious and they have a huge variety of flavors. Fresh baked bread is awesome.

Although you can’t deny this newly built location is very attractive inside & out, the business still has room for improvement. The kringles are nice, as they should be for the staple of O & H. That being said, the many bakery goods & pastries we’ve tried here are nothing to write home about. Most taste pretty bland, and are not freshly baked judging by the dryness of most selections. I’ve enjoyed much fresher bakery goods from other mom & pop bakeries for sure. Almost none of the bakery case products are labeled either, so other than your basic donut or cupcake you may find yourself playing the«what’s that?» game with the person behind the counter.

yea this is the O and H I went to. I enjoyed my time here sampling various Danish products some months back and the coffee here was pretty excellent. most people were taking orders to go but there is a sit down area to drink, taste, and watch what people are ordering and taking out at a small supermarket type setting of all things Danish pastries. A great place. didn’t try a kringle ut fritters and other baked goods were fresh and delectable.

Staple of Racine’s famous Danish Kringle. Great all round bakery with friendly staff. A must try for visitors and a must revisit for residents.

If you want the best Kringle. You go here. They update flavors all the time. But stick to almond or anything cheese. Never go when the buses are out front, you will be surrounded by track suit wearing tourists. Pumpkin and maple are good but seasonal. The service is slightly off base so far on the Washington location(it’s new) but the Durand location is the Cheers of Racine. They know you by the Kringle you like. They are a staple of Racine and one that Racine should make it’s centerfold.

O&H has been a family staple during the holidays, starting with my mom’s employer gifting our family one for Christmas for as long as I can remember. I continue the tradition now, getting a kringle for my own family and my in-laws to enjoy on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. O&H specializes in these kringles– a flaky croissant-esque ring of pastry, with a filling(fruit, nut, etc) and a glaze on top. Most are available online for $ 19.99, and are shipped for an additional $ 10(everything comes with standard 2 day delivery, can upgrade to overnight). Thankfully, orders placed right up until the holidays are still available for delivery on Christmas Eve, no problem. My favorite flavor has to be the Wisconsin Kringle($ 19.99), with a cherry, cranberry and cream cheese filling. The in-laws enjoy the Apple Kringle($ 19.99), along with O&H’s gluten free Cranberry Almond and Apricot cakes($ 24.99). Although the price is rather steep(a $ 30 minimum gift), and I never receive any discounts or incentives via their email listserv, O&H offers a special, appreciated gift that’s always devoured within days. I’ve never had a complaint about the quality(sweetness, sogginess, etc). I’d really love to see O&H offer some coupons to loyal customers, so that I can enjoy a kringle more often than just once a year.

On Sunday morning December 13, I was coincidentally watching Sunday Morning on CBS television. One of their features honed in on a bakery treat I had never heard of before — something called a Kringle. 1) I learned it’s a specialty from Racine, Wisconsin. 2) I learned that Racine’s nickname is Kringleville. 3) I learned that Racine has a Kringle Queen and a Kringle polka. 4) I learned that a kringle is the Wisconsin State Pastry 5) I learned it has 36 flaky layers 6) I learned that Racine bakers have developed different ways to craft Kringles — some are all made by hand, some by a machine, and some by both. 7) I learned that O&H cranks out 5,000−7,000 kringles a day 8) I learned that during the holidays, they have shipped a mind numbing 20,000 in one day. Well, that was all we needed to head over to the O&H website and see what all the fuss was about. They sell 14 ring shaped varieties weighing one pound and 8 ounces apiece. So what is a kringle? It’s kind of a mash-up between a croissant and a Danish. It can be filled with all sorts of fruit fillings like every berry under the sun, plus cherry, apricot, cheese, and a turtle flavor. We tried an Almond Macaroon that was incredibly good– so delicate and flaky with an addictive almond paste filing In a crunchy topped pastry. They are pretty expensive– $ 19.99 each plus a galling $ 10 delivery fee, but hey– it’s the holidays and we treated ourselves to something new and delicious. If you’re looking to splurge, or try something new and awesome, go kringle yourself.

A family tradition since 1949. The Olesen family has been committed to hooking up Wisconsin and the rest of the country with tasty baked goods and their ever awesome Danish Kringle. I tried my first back in 2008, thanks to Unilocaler: Rob B. from Chicago. What is a Kringle? It’s a Danish pastry that is light, tender, flaky, moist and created with their quality ingredients. Think of a cheese Danish except stuffed with fruit and made into a circular shape. It’s light and airy and once you have a sliver, you’ll want another and another. They ship them frozen, so after delivery, allow them to thaw and enjoy or freeze and store till next time. I’ve taken many of these to company parties, family gatherings, etc It is always an instant hit. They offer a variety of flavors from fruity fillings to coffee, cheesecake to «turtle» and more. Since my first tasting in 2008 I’ve been to a few of their locations in Racine, WI and purchased their goods through all different means. Website and in-store. I’m reviewing this location because this is the site they ship out of. For years now I’ve ordered many Kringles and other baked goods and shipped them to family and friends all over the country. Usually creating smiles all over the place. Ordering online is better than calling. For instance if calling near the holidays expect a pretty lengthy wait. I called yesterday 12÷18÷15 and was told there were 57 callers ahead of me!(Sometimes items from their printed catalog don’t match online, so a call is necessary. I believe they have at least three«no added sugar» desserts. But only one is available online.) Ordering goods to be shipped carries a $ 9.99 flat rate delivery fee. That is per shipment. I find this one detail funky. Some items are 4 lbs and some are 1lb 8 oz, so whichever, it’s $ 9.99 each?

Those cringles were good but generally over sweetened. The stores had samples of cheese(quite rich but nothing too unique). And raspberry — good and comforting melt in your mouth, but too sweet. They are 18-layered Danish pastries, buttered and baked to sweet perfection The most popular flavours are pecan, butter rum, and cherry.
