This little Aveda retail shop is small and tucked away into a corner of Crabtree mall, but despite its size it’s well stocked with everything Aveda from skincare and shampoo to makeup and lotions. Staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist you in finding just the right product for your needs. There’s no salon but salon services are occasionally offered there as part of Aveda’s various fundraising efforts for different charities, ranging from ecological conservation to providing clean water across the globe; check their website to find these events!

I love how the earthy aroma of Aveda relaxes me the minute I walk in the store. I haven’t used a lot of of their products, but I’ll vouch that the men’s shampoo and conditioner is great(if only it wasn’t $ 18 a bottle). I’m also a fan of the rosemary mint hair care. While their stuff isn’t cheap, it’s worth the price. Besides hair and body products they have a few candles, tea, etc. for sale. There’s usually a sample of the tea ready to be tried and it’s pretty good. The ladies working there are friendly and helpful. Overall, Aveda isn’t necessarily the place I get stuff from all the time, but if I’m looking for an indulgent splurge of body products it’s my first choice.

The ladies that work here are so nice! They give you really great advice and will treat you to their delicious tea(hot or cold)! I have never felt so knowledgeable about my beauty regimen before I started coming here. The Aveda exfolient is a great product and keeps you from breaking out. There are many places in the mall to get your beauty supplies, but just talk to the girls at Aveda and you will figure out what you need to know.

I used Aveda products way back in the day about 10 years ago. To this day I still have my compact with my eye shadows from them(yes, I know you’re SUPPOSED to replace them). On a recent trip up to DC I accidentally left behind my beloved compact at my friends’ house. Since I use their black eye shadow for my eye liner I needed to find an Aveda store(QUICK!) to replace my now missing black shadow. Low and behold, a local Aveda store was at my doorstep at Crabtree Valley Mall. I popped in to find they no longer carried the single black shadow I had(turns out they discontinued it like 5 years ago o. O) but the sales rep was able to point out a trio collection which contained the black. I told her that’s all I needed. And, well, like a good sales rep she tried to sell me on another product they had but wasn’t pushy at all. While I didn’t need it I thanked her for her time and checked out. I made sure to sign up for their e-mails. In the month of your birthday they send you a free gift! And being that mine is next month I’m on the edge of my seat waiting in anticipation! If you want to join the birthday club you can do so in store or by following this link(!!!):

Be sure to sign up for Aveda’s Pure Privilege Rewards program if you’re an Aveda fan. It’s the best reward program I use. I think it cost me $ 10 to sign up years ago, but I’ve really taken advantage of the catalog of free goodies you get for accruing points(plus the coupons for samples and the free pure-fume on your birthday make me happy!).
