Yuck, pizza was soggy. Atmosphere was so quiet we didn’t want to stay with kids. So many better pizza places around.

My daughter and I had lunch for the first time at Tomato Pie and it was delicious! We both had the AYCE soup & salad bar. The salad bar was fresh, fully stocked, homemade dressings, fresh fruit and several types of pasta/veggie salads to choose from. There were full slices of turkey, roasted chicken and ham. The chicken salad was some of the best I have ever had. Ample choices to make for a full meal. The soups were good as well with cream of broccoli, potato and several others to choose from. Our favorite was the tomato with cream and mint. Yummy! Our server offered us warm garlic bread and kept our tea glasses full. Awesome food & terrific service at a very reasonable price, only $ 8.95 each at lunch for AYCE soup & salad. We did stalk a few of the other tables with orders of pizza and creamy pastas that made our mouths water! Will definitely return.

I’ve been twice. Once for lunch during the work week and this past Saturday for lunch. Both times have been busy, but the services has been so fast. The salad bar is phenomenal(in addition to salad and all of the toppings, they have chicken and potato salad, fruit, and four or five different soups to choose from.) The pizza is amazing. Fresh toppings and incredible mozzarella cheese. It is one of my favorite places to go to. One person can eat an individual(good sized) pizza with unlimited trips to the soup and salad bar for about 16.00. I haven’t tried any other soup except for the Potato and Cheese(I LOVE potato soup) and I found it to be a bit bland. Next time I will try a different soup — hence four instead of five stars. Everything else was fantastic.

Incredible salad bar! I go regularly just for this! You gotta see it to believe it, shredded rotisserie chicken, fresh Campari tomatoes, delicious dressing and fully loaded fruit and pasta salads as well. It’s a favorite of the mall employees, the wait staff is always so nice!

Amazing salad bar– had fresh mozzarella balls and fresh Parmesan cheese. The chicken wings are the best around. Wood fired and full of flavor and juicy. Best not to eat the cannoli. Too much lemon and bitter. Had to send that back but the rest of the meal was superb.

My husband and I try to avoid the mall but we were getting a piece of jewelry fixed at Treasure Isle jewelers and needed something to do while we waited. We were actually heading to Red Monkey restaurant(which is owned by the same people) when my husband saw the sign for Tomato Pie. It was completely dead inside the restaurant(on a Saturday night at 6:30). We ordered a pizza(which my husband really liked) and gluten free pasta for me(which was DELICIOUS). They also had cheap drinks. I got a champagne split for $ 6. The service was great — our server was really friendly. I was VERY surprised to find out they had been open for 3 years. The things they really could work on are 1.) décor. They had these cardboard looking, vegetation things hanging from the ceiling. It looked like a cheesy/cheap rainforest café. 2.) music — they were playing the most depressing 90s music ever. Every single song. Think Black Hole Sun, Jeremy, Losing my Religion(on repeat). Need something more upbeat. This is a pizza place after all. haha

Can there be bad pizza? This place comes close. Overall, for the price, the quality was okay. With wood fired pizza, I expect a nice crispy crust, what I got was barely crispy. In addition, for some reason the sauce was on top the cheese, and they had too much on it. The sauce also tasted like something that would go on pasta. Not pizza sauce. The toppings were unremarkable, not that special. The salad and soup bar was decent. Though several things were mislabeled so be careful. However, overall the service was decent and I would give it another try.

This was great experience just wanted a quick lunch… from the hostess to server, everyone was hospitable and pleasant! The salad bar is above average; very fresh ingredients, and a meal in itself! The pizza topped it off we really enjoyed it, especially that it was wood fired oven pizza!

I saw the Unilocal reviews averaging to 3 stars before choosing here — I feel half an extra star is deserved, so even though it’s not a four-star restaurant, I’m bumping it up anyway for the service.(Again Unilocal,we need a 10 star rating system but that’s a story for another day…) Service was excellent — very quick and our order was accurate. The menu includes pizza, sandwiches, and pasta, or a soup and salad bar can be selected, as well as specials(that day, I believe was the braised short ribs). I ordered a small pizza with spinach, mushroom, and the Italian sausage. In my opinion, a pretty good pizza! The cheese was great and the I’d echo some of the other comments in that this restaurant is not particularly special(i.e. it’s Olive Garden fare under a different moniker), but I’d say the food deserves a higher rating than 3 stars. Not my first choice if I had to eat again at Crabtree Valley

The food is always great and fresh. Service and soup and salad bar are also great. You have to try the eggplant parmesan sandwich, its sooo good!

I had lunch at Tomato Pie on a Saturday and they were not busy(red flag). I asked the server if I could get the eggplant parmesan sandwich without the sandwich part… just eggplant parmesan. She said it would be no problem, she would serve it entrée style. I assumed she would just remove the bread. I received chicken parmesan instead, but didn’t say anything because I like chicken just as well as eggplant. The chicken was prepared well, but the sauce was a let-down. It tasted like something from a can. My friend’s fries were cold, but the server happily replaced them with fresh, hot fries. The big surprise came with the bill. Instead of the $ 10 price tag for the sandwich(I asked for the sandwich sans bread), I was billed $ 20 for a chicken parm entrée. I don’t do $ 20 lunches, and I won’t be back to fall for that again.

Our server was awesome!!! We got two pizzas. They were a good size. I created my own. They pizza came a little dry. I love a lot sauce so I had to ask for extra and they did bring it out for me. This would not be my choice of place to come back again unless I happen to be at the mall. It was nothing special.

This visit saw me and my guest come in just 20 minutes before close. As usual the staff was pleasant and didn’t give us that ‘rushed’ or unwelcome vibe. I wanted, as usual, the chicken parmesan. But ‘lo and behold it was no longer on the menu! !! @@ !! $^# ^$^$# ^&**^ing %$^%$!!! My waitress disappears and returns a few minutes later saying they can do it up and just put some pasta on the side. DEAL! thankyouthankyouthankyou… Only got one drink refill but the two waitresses in the area were in the process of cleaning to get ready to close. Since they were pleasant I wasn’t about to get picky on refills. Yet another good visit. Happy eats!

Combines my love of pizza and salads! Pros The menu has a decent variety of pizzas and pastas. There’s even a Sunday brunch section! They’re also vegetarian friendly! Kudos! My fiancé ordered the small Hawaiian pizza and I had their soup and salad bar. My fiancé liked his Hawaiian pizza, but prefers the Mellow Mushroom Maui Wowie better. For example, he likes the Mellow crust better. He said the overall quality, flavor, and taste at Mellow is better, but that this place comes second. I really enjoyed the soup and salad bar! There were about 5 – 6 choices of soups including options like tomato mint, beef and barley, chicken noodle, and lentil soup. The salad bar had fresh ingredients and included awesome selections like feta cheese, bleu cheese, artichoke salad, orzo salad, olive salad, fresh slices of chicken, ham, and turkey, fresh fruit(strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, and watermelon), an awesomely nomlicious tofu dish with sun dried tomato pesto sauce! Very tasty and well seasoned! One trip to the salad bar is $ 8.95 and unlimited trips $ 11.95. Not bad given the variety and given that my fiancé was able to eat off me(and none of the staff scolded us). Definitely good value for money for freshness and good sized portions. A small pizza is 6 slices and their large runs 10 slices(I think?). I saw other customers order the pasta dishes and those were all served in pretty deep and decently sized bowls. Good service– no complaints. Final Answer Definitely worth coming back! Fresh, tasty, and good variety. Comes in a close second behind Mellow Mushroom.

Haven’t been back to Jersey in a while for my red pie, so had to stop here for one. It was good, and gave it 4 stars over 3 because the waitress was so nice and accommodating and the salad bar was very fresh. The pasta bowls that the other tables got looks really good. I wanted to try the arancini but will try that next time. I don’t usually go to the mall, but may come back while in the area.

We needed a very quick lunch prior to an appointment and thought we’d hit Panera. The line was HUGE. So we went across the way to check out Tomato Pie. They had a soup and salad bar that was fantastic. Not only did it fit the bill for quick, the salad bar was incredible. The choices were plentiful and extremely fresh. Included were several soups that were delicious and seemed freshly made. I was shocked Tomato Pie wasn’t more crowded at lunch time. We didn’t try any menu items so maybe they are not as good, but I highly recommend the salad bar. You won’t be disappointed.

Not going to lie my expectations for this place were pretty low but it actually surprised me. I was returning a few Christmas presents with some friends of mine and we were starving. Not to mention now with babies involved we never get a chance to hang out so we were looking forward to a beer or glass of wine as well. My friend suggested Tomato Pie she said she was here with her mom recently and seeing the line at the Panera across the way it was so ridiculous that they decided to come here. This was a great recommendation. I have to be honest the pizza is pretty darn good, as well as the service and local beer drafts. I sorta stay away from malls all together so when you get me there and get a meal in me I’m not expecting much. Tomato Pie has a great menu with plenty of options from pizzas to salads. I love that they keep all their drafts local and you can even order a decent glass of wine for a great price. If you are shopping at Crabtree and are looking for a bite to eat this should be on the top of your list if you don’t want fast food from the food court. The arugula pizza I ordered was fresh and delicious. For a small pizza you get six slices which was plenty for me and my two friends. Such a great alternative to the normal mall options.
