I have driven past this restaurant for nearly 20 years & always meant to stop in. About two months ago, I decided to take my bosses there from out of town. The waiter was very nice– he was the only server but there was only one other table. We were served cold chips and salsa which was ok at best. We all ordered a cheese enchilada plate. Although, there was only 1 table, we still waited 20 minutes for our meal. I took one bite(of a lukewarm enchilada) before I noticed my meal had come with a side order of hair. I informed the waiter– he took it to the kitchen and came back almost immediately with what I’m 99.9% sure was the same plate minus the hair. The server offered me a 10% discount even though I did not eat any of my meal. Unfortunately, I had lost my appetite at that point and will probably not be returning for at least another 20 years.

I ordered the slipper lobster, which was the special. It came with rice and beans and a ‘margarita.’ I must say, the slipper lobster(there were four) was positively scrumptious!!! I ordered it with the garlic sauce and it was the perfect comination of tart and tangy. The rice was moist and delicous and the refried beans had a wonderful flavor. The margarita, I suspect, was made from wine, not tequila, but it was very tasty. The chips were cold and the salsa was bland. They only had one server on duty, and he was quite busy, so service wasn’t as good as it could be. Overall, though, the service was respectful and the food was very tasty. I will probably come here again.
