There is a liquor store on the corner of main and 11th. Outside, they have what appears to be a home built bullet smoker. You can smell the BBQ for blocks around. Me and the boys decided to stop by. I had the brisket. Most excellent! The meat was tender and juicy. Great smoke ring and flavor. I had the BBQ beans for a side. Nice touch putting the habaneros in them. Made them spicy! Your cole slaw, I’m sorry is AWEFUL!!! Use fresher ingredients and use a different recipe. Hope that wasn’t grandma’s recipe.

Got a full rack of smoked ribs and was so so disappointed, the corners of my ribs were so dry they looked like jerk. My first warning sign to turn around was the chef coughing without even covering his mouth. I really wanted to enjoy this little hole in the wall place!

Pete’s is easy to miss, but well worth a try. I’m a big fan of their pulled pork sandwich– cooked just right with good sauce and coleslaw on top, and the fries are great. Good chicken sandwich as well. Only giving four-stars because of the location– otherwise good food and large servings for reasonable prices.

This little hole in the wall Taco Joint is not to bad. I tried this place A while ago and am just getting around to writing a review. It has The Best Street Tacos I’ve found in Ramona. And I’ve tried most of them. It’s not fancy and doesn’t have much in the way of seating but the Tacos are good and the prices are not bad. It’s inside and off to the side of The Ramona Liquor Store. Now and then you will see one of the guys outside on Main St Smoking different meat for their tacos. I’ve tried most of their tacos and liked most of them.(Skip The FishTaco) I give this place a solid 3 ¾ Stars for This Town. It’s Called Taco Pete’e Shop And More. Don’t be confused. Enjoy.

This place opened within the past few months and is located inside Ramona Liquor, on a side of the store that used to be vacant, I think. They cleaned up that side of the store and a restaurant moved in. Pete’s Taco Shop and Moar! I didn’t eat there for awhile. It wasn’t until I noticed they had a smoker outside on some occasions that I became interested… And even then, i didn’t try it for quite awhile. So, my 5-star review takes into account that it’s tucked into a liquor store, but hey it’s a very central place in town and easy to find once you know what you’re looking for. Also, all the guys that work here have always been nice. For what it is, I give it an easy five stars. Take that with a grain of salt. I haven’t tried a lot of things on the menu; namely the tacos for one thing. What I have tried are the barbecue items that are in the offing. From Thursday through Sunday you can find smoked and barbecued items such as barbecued baked beans, baby back ribs, etc. They have affordable roasted chicken meals, rib meals, and things of that nature. Everything I’ve had has been very good. They even have a great Philly cheese steak. The menu includes: Mediterranean Specialties such as lamb and chicken gyros and sandwiches. Chicken specialties such as like chicken tenders, BBQ Sandwich. Burgers, Cheese Steaks, Pulled Pork sandwich, and many more. On the Mexican Food side they open for business at around 8:30 in the morning and offer traditional Mexican breakfast options, Burritos, Tortas, Street Tacos, Quesadillas, and again many more. This place has a lot of things available, at fair prices. You can call ahead and order as well. I highly recommend you give it a shot. The location isn’t amazing or anything but value wise I think it’s very good.
