I had the asada nachos, very good, hard to mess up nachos. They have orange bang which is always a plus

Lunch today… my salad was already going bad.(I buy these pre-made from Stater bros for the whole week so I don’t eat out everyday preventing weight gain & wasting money) I will be honest and say I had the worst burrito EVER. I ordered the Gringo Burrito(shrimp & asada) Reasons below: 1. Asada was over seasoned, salty and full of chewy unwanted FAT, that I had to spit out. Multiple times. ewwww but the shrimp was good. 2. The rice was authentic, but it was oily as H.E. double hockey sticks. I’ve never in my life had a pocket of oil just sitting at the bottom of the tortilla, coming out of the sides and drenching my fingers. REALLY? 3. The last terrible thing about my burrito was that all the onions and cilantro were at the bottom, not spread throughout the burrito. Now since those ingredients were fresh, I liked them. This experience deserved just one star, but I’ve picked up from here before and my husband & kids loved what they got. I had a taco and it was decent. Also, the lady taking my order was not very friendly and was too busy texting to actually engage in eye contact with me. RUDE. I won’t be coming here again. I will only eat their food again if my husband picks it up. I will avoid their burritos and stick with a taco or two. If I have to spend money on Mexican food, then I will go a couple blocks down to Los Jalepenos.

I think this place has been open 6 months, if that. Give them a break people! Let them work out the kinks. I can’t speak for myself but I stopped by here yesterday after work to p/u food for the fiancée. It was around 6, the place was pretty empty. It seems clean, employees are friendly enough. It is obvious that they are a new place(I got the impression that they were a tad bit disorganized), but that’s OK! I got the east LA hot dog(it’s wrapped in bacon!) for the fiancée w/everything on it. Pretty sure he was having a food ‘o’ while eating it, judging by all of the the noise he was puttin’ out. :) he did say that it was bomb, so no doubt we’ll be back again to try other stuff.

I wanted to like this place I really did, local, new business. Ordered a pollo asado burrito with their verde sauce since the woman ordered carne asada. If u cant make these at a Mexican restaurant you need to hang up ur hat. The thin red sauce had good spice, my anticipation was mounting. Burrtio comes out, its a monster. Now Im salivating like Pavlov’s dog. Upon further inspection the green sauce looked like La Victoria, I figured no way. I dive in, it was as store bought green sauce, the rice tasted like Lipton Brand and the chicken was ok. Not to mention my monster«burro» was a copious amount of rice. Go to Juanit“A“s apparently the masculine version of the word cant produce like the feminine.

I had two Larenza tacos, one asada and one pastor. Honestly they were just two plain old tacos, nothing special, nothing memorable. The East LA corn was good but you can get those in fontana or about a dozen other cities in the area for a dollar. They had two salsas that were pretty good. Service was really friendly. I just don’t see myself rushing back here anytime soon.

One word– DELICIOUS! I was heading to my usual taco spot in the Shell gas station across the street(*hangs head in shame for eating out of a gas station but their tacos are yummy) and they were closed. As we are leaving I notice a guy with a sign on the street yelling about the 99 cent tacos at Juanito’s so we go give it a try. I am so glad I did. The food was yummy and the service was pretty good. The place was pretty new and they were a bit unorganized and they don’t seem to have a perfect system in place yet but everyone was friendly and accommodating. I had the gringo taco, 2 al pastor tacos, and corn and my sister had the gringo burrito and corn and we both loved every bit of it. It was well seasoned with just the perfect amount of spice. I loved that their menu had more than just basic tacos. Their basic tacos are great but it’s nice to have some gourmet options as well and it’s a definite plus that you can get the corn and bacon wrapped hot dogs without having to travel to LA or find a random street vendor. I’m definitely going back and I’m sure in no time at all they will have gotten into their groove and will iron out the few small kinks.

Dang I was so disappointed with the service here. The food is great with awesome prices but they may run out of carne asada or be closing early or rude crowds come in and make you so uncomfortable that you hurry eating so they can be seated. Not sure how to feel about this place… I’m so bummed because I expected a nice place to dine.

Well, after much debate we decided to give this place a try. We walked in to what seemed to be a disorganized and confusing place. I was surprised to find out they had been open for 2 months as much of what i saw gave me the impression we had walked in on an ill planned grand opening. Once figuring out if this was a sit down order type of place I went with the gringo tacos. My partner elected to try a wet green burrito. I asked for chips and salsa for which i was told there was a charge, no problem. The guac was extra, again no problem. I got a basket of chips and no direction as to whether I or the server would supply the salsa. Turns out, it was up to me to fetch it. Meanwhile, another patron comes in to speak to management about a bad catering event they had paid for. Parsley served instead of cilantro. I was surprised to hear a manager brushing off the mishap on the part of their supplier. That said, the wet burrito came and looked good. And from what i gathered by watching my partner eat it, it was. Unfortunately i watched because 5 mins had passed as i watched my order served to another table that happened to include family members who gladly accepted my order as theres. The«server» walked by seeing me in disbelief and asked if we needed anything. To which i replied,“yes, my tacos. which i believe you just served to that table”. She claimed they had order extra and mine would be up shortly. At this time she offered more guac, which i was happy to accept as compensation, until she returned and said,“oh, the guac is still frozen so they are trying to thaw it out for you”. really? So my tacos finally came, the guac never did, and i ate. well into my third taco and i taste something unpleasant. It’s mexican food so i brushed it off. Maybe old cilantro, who knows? 2hrs later i’m home, and suddenly not feeling well. Partner texts me from work, guess what-not feeling well. So, I cant say we’ll be going back after that experience. I’m all for helping out local business, especially new ones, but work out the kinks in the first week folks! Shouldn’t take 2 mos.!! And maybe hire a «server» who’s a little more enthusiastic about her job? Oh, the 1 star rating is a shout out to the salsas. unless thats what made me sick, it was the highlight of the meal.

I love trying new restaurants. I debated between 3 – 4 stars for this place. If i rated only the salsa it would be 5 stars. But one cannot live on salsa alone. I had the gringo burrito as did my man. He also tried the corn and he loved that. As for the burrito, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, a plus since a lot of mexi restaurants overcook shrimp til its chewy. This was done right. However i felt the carne asada was too salty and overseasoned. I prefer to taste the meat. The rice in the burrito tasted like el pollo loco. Very un-authentic. Tastes like rice a roni. Im curious to try more of the menu but the staff at this spot are not very friendly or welcoming. I felt like i was bothering them. And they had all but two of the tables stacked with trays for a catering order. This is a small place and it seemed weird to scatter the serving pans on every table. Stacking them on one table would make more sense. Also no diet coke, diet pepsi or fountain drinks. Their sodas are jarritos, mexican soda loaded with sugar. They advertise aguas frescas and when i asked for their selection of aguas frescas they say oh the sodas are aguas frescas. Definitely not the same thing. As a new restaurant i would think they would be glad for customers but they basically ignored us. Chips werent even offered until we received our burritos. It would have been nice to munch on chips while we wait for the order to arrive but it was not to be. Sitting at a little two top our dirty dishes werent removed the whole time we were there. I was ready to bus the table myself. We tipped because we are polite but we didnt receive any level of service to merit a gratuity. So not a place i would reccommend.

Love it! The nachos and burritos are great! I haven’t had the tacos yet but I’m sure I will soon. I had no problem with the staff. They were friendly and offered suggestions. I give Juanito’s two thumbs up!

Don’t even bother. The two times i’ve gone here they’ve ran out of beans or meat. I tried ordering over the phone and they kept me waiting seven minutes before i just hung up. They have no customer service skills. You would think since they’ve been established since 1982 that would be something they have down but no. It seems more like they’re running a business«out of their trunk.» Don’t waste your money there are better authentic places.
