I’ve been here a handful of times for only the breakfast plates. Beef tapa, pork tocino, and the longinisa plates are quite tasty. Each plate is accompanied with two scoops of rice, and two eggs which sit atop a thin banana leaf. I also like how they provide a small bowl of sinigang with each order. If you are looking to dine in, wait times can definitely vary. I waited well over 20 minutes one morning for my plate. Another time, I placed an order 20 minutes before I had arrived and I STILLHADTOWAITANOTHER15 min. This restaurant does offer catering services, so I can understand the varying wait times.

We will never come back to that Rancho Cucamonga branch anymore! That nasty lady who took our order was very rude like she doesn’t want to take our order! She was in a rush or something like we are an inconvenience! She just rolled her eyes on my husband because she can’t understand him and kept cutting him off! They should hire someone else that have good manners!!! The food was great! But because of that ultimately awful lady! Whatever her name is!!! It turned out to be a disgusting dinner experience!!!

I went here for breakfast with my bf not too long ago. I ordered the longsilog(longanisa, garlic fried rice and over easy egg) and my bf ordered the beef tapa(beef, garlic fried rice and over easy egg). Both came with a small cup of sour soup. Tasted like home! I’m looking forward to coming back here again!

I am not Filipino food guru and had Filipino food a few times. I really had high expectations of this place. We ordered beef tapa, pork sisig, fresh lumpia and bribing jang galapong for dessert. The worse dish was the beef. It had nothing like a picture. It was very dry and tough. I had to throwaway half of it. The lumpia was good but not great. The pork sisig was just ok. The dessert was ok but not impressive. There was too much cheese for me.

I’ve been going to the Manila Sunset in North Hills, CA since I was 5 or 6 yrs old. I can still remember my mom ordering the lumpiang shanghai for my birthday parties. Since it was only 5 mins from our house, we’d go there after school! But now that we don’t live 5 mins away from one, I miss it a lot! Luckily, they opened one up in R.C. — yay! I love their choices here of Filipino dishes here. When I’m craving my dad’s cooking, I can find that taste here. It does take awhile for your food to come but I believe it’s cooked as you order it, so the wait is well worth it. I also crave their breakfast dishes for lunch and dinner so it’ so comforting knowing that I can get my longanisa(sweet sausage), garlic rice and bangus(small grilled milkfish) at anytime! They also give you a small side of soup with your meal and they normally give me sinigang(so good!) So you’ll be very busog(full) and happy afterwards. Only con is their sago is a little too sweet and the balls were too hard(twss) Other than that, this place is my go-to Filipino restaurant in the I.E.

Good Filipino bbq on a stick, which they have dollar specials on certain days. The wait time on cooked-to-order food is a bit long but they’re delicious.

This was our first visit and it wont be the last. The staff is friendly and helped us navigate through the menu. The pictures helped :) it all looks good and the smells coming from the kitchen area smelled delicious. The prices are fair for the quantity and taste of the food. As previously mentioned in other posts you do have to wait at least 10 minutes but its worth the wait. The staff is busy taking many phone orders. You know its good when the phone doesn’t stop ringing. Till next time :)

I was introduced to this little hidden jewel by a friend. I went to the restaurant in National City. While everything was good I’m SCREAMING yum about the Bibingkang Galapong. It’s a light cake made from rice flour, egg and milk and baked in a banana leaf. Not too sweet just light and delicious. At $ 3.25, it’s definitely worth a try. Oh, and by the way, it’s large enough to share.

Awesome place! I admit I didn’t get the most adventurous of dishes,(Pork Inihaw), but it was great, and decently priced! There’s so much on the menu that I want to try, I wish I still worked in the area so I could come more often. Dish served with a side of soup, which tastes like tomato and is pretty sour. If you’re not used to the taste it could be a hit or miss. Basically if you like Tom Yum soup(Thai food) you’ll like it. If you don’t know what that is, your best gauge is hot and sour soup that Chinese restaurants have. It’s very different from that, but I think liking the two would be correlated. Pros: *decent pricing. Think $ 7 – 10 per person. *very authentic, as evidenced by the fact that everyone who walked in spoke Tagalog with the worker. *super friendly worker(he may or may not own the place) who is willing to explain all the dishes to you with a smile, and yes, speaks perfect English. *good serving size! When it came out I thought it might be a little small but it was very satisfying, even though I’m eating lunch two hours later than usual. *lots of fun drinks and sides to try *$ 1 skewer Tuesday’s. But phone ahead, demand is high. Cons: *THISISNTPANDAEXPRESS. You’ll have to wait about ten minutes for food, just know that going in. *credit card for over $ 10 only. One dish and one drink put me at $ 10.42, so it wasn’t that big a problem, but still. RECOMMENDED!

I’m not from the Philippines. I’m from an island in the South Pacific called ‘Palau’. Anyway, telling you that doesn’t mean anything. My ethnically background has nothing to do with how good this place is. I mean, real authentic Filipino food. I would recommend this to anyone and their mother! This will be definitely my ‘go to’ place when I want some good Filipino grub!

Food: BBQ pork plate came with 3 skewers, 1 scoop of rice and sabaw/soup. Initially I thought this serving was on the stingy side but it actually was very satisfying. The pork was very tender and had the perfect amount of char. I don’t know how they do it but the sinigang sabaw is SOGOOD. I also tried the bibingka. The texture was spongy and soft and had little bits of cheese for that sweet & salty flavor. I ate the whole thing by myself ;P Service: No major complaints, although the staff seemed a little stand off-ish when I visited both times. The bbq takes a while to cook so I recommend calling in your order if you’re in a hurry.

**UPDATE** This time I came for dinner because I was craving sinigang. And the same damn thing happened the last time I was here. I ordered my food an a huge table of people got their food before me. So again, I had to go to the front and ask about it. So damn annoying and it’s always going to happen when my stomach is touching my back. I get my food, I taste it, and it’s so fucking good but I remember I’m having an attitude so I speak to who I think was the owner/manager. I politely asked him why this is my second time here and the second time im served after other people. His answer was because what I order takes longer. Ok that’s fine whatever. I go back to eating my bomb ass soup and he then offers me their famous bibingka, on the house. Oh man was it good! The best I’ve ever had. Basically, give free goodies to this fatty and it makes everything all better. I’ll keep coming because the food is the best Filipino food outside of having dinner at my grandmas. Came here for lunch. I ordered the longanisa, fried egg and rice plate and cantaloupe juice. It also came with a small portion of sinigang. Omg it was so good. The sausage has the grill taste and crunch. The sabau was SOOO flavorful. The only thing negative I have to say is for $ 6.95 I thought it should have two eggs instead of one. Also, the service had me annoyed. I watched someone get their food before mine and I was hella angry and beast like because I was starving. The food made up for it tho! You know it’s good when every customer in here is Filipino. Who knew the inland empire had any lol.

I’m starting to find my way around this area! I had to see if their Filipino food was to my standards and yes they were! It’s best if you get it to go, since it takes a while for them to prepare your food. I did not know this, so I took a longer lunch from work than expected. The food was delicious and the service was good! I’ll be back!

Love this place! Everyone is so nice and they make you feel welcome! If you’re in a rush call in your order ahead of time. Today I picked up Fresh Lumpia, Tapa/Egg/Steamed Rice, Lumpia Shanghai and Pansit Malabon. Everything was pretty good! The Tapa meat was a bit tough but still had great flavor. I will definitely be coming back!

Best Filipino food this side of town. Their bibingka and pancit malabon are the best ever. We have been making trips to this place at least every other week. The staff are great. The manager makes me and my family feel welcome every time. My family’s faves: 1. Bibingka 2. Pancit malabon, 3. Crispy tokwa baboy 4. Pork bbq on sticks 5. Halo-halo 6. Sweet & sour fish 7. Inihaw na pusit Btw, I checked their prices and portions and compared them to the others in the area, Manila Sunset has the best prices and value.

Oh my, di ako makahinga sa sobrang busog! Oopss! I mean can’t breathe anymore, sooo stuffed good food. Love all our food. Lechon kawali, goto, pansit malabon, bibingka, garlic rice and of course sago gulaman drink. Over all yummy! It seems that food here are cooked to order so it might take a little bit of time. If your not super hungry like you wanna b*t € h, like having a pms and will have time for a short wait you will enjoy it… *btw I didn’t eat all that food, my husband helped me hehhehe! Enjoy life enjoy your food

Glad I stopped by here for lunch today. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant is that it’s very clean and organized. The condiments are towards the back with a little water station. The food was awesome. Prices were great too.($ 5 – 8 per plate). Wish they had more drink selections though. Will be back here again soon to try other things that I don’t understand!

I’m not an expert when it comes to Filipino food, but I do know that this place was delicious. Not only are the prices reasonable, the portions are too. I got a beef plate that came with two scoops of rice and a soup for less than the price of a burrito at chipotle(idk why I chose to compare it to that). The beef had a nice bbq flavor to it and the rice was good too with the garlic in it. The bbq chicken is also delicious. The place is really clean, the staff was really friendly and answered our newbie questions about the menu. Definitely coming here more often for my lunch break! They have a couple of deserts and shaved ice drinks as well.
