No only this Sephora is small, their customer service sucks!!! Wow, they really need to be trained. Because I passed by 4 girls and no one«not once» even looked at me to ask if I needed help. Which I did! Never coming back. Rather go to «south coast plaza» where the service is over 5 stars. Train your people well Sephora of Rancho Cucamonga

The customer service was terrible !!! People were rude and when I asked them for help seemed I inconvenienced them. I don’t think I will be returning for my make up needs.

It’s Sephora so if you need a product you frequently get here you’ll find it. The store is big. The costumer service sucks, I was clearly looking for something I couldn’t find and I kid you not passed 6 employees just hanging out. This is absolutely not cool, wasn’t even greeted when I came in. Usually it does suck to be bothered while shopping but it’s nice to be acknowledged. It wasn’t even busy. Oh well. We don’t live in the area but I’d definitely avoid it the next time for a better experience.

I walked in to return a couple of things along with a purchase. No one helped or even asked if I needed any help. I grabbed an eye shadow palette and went to pay. I forgot his name, but it was a younger male, dark hair, light skin, and petite who helped me. I told him I needed to return a couple of items and purchase a palette. That’s when I noticed his tone changed. He seemed very agitated and annoyed. He decided to take his sweet time with my returns by looking for something. As he was scanning my returns, he stopped to answer the phone. He completely ignored me and didn’t even bother to let me tell me he needed to take a call. So I literally stood there listened to his non important phone call. He was smiling and giggling to whom ever was on the other line. After he hung up he proceeded to try to find whatever he was looking for. Which turned out to be a sticky note which was right in front of him. I knew he was annoyed with me and he made it quite obvious. I attempted to make small talk by asking him which palette he preferred; the tarte or chocolate bar because I was purchasing one for a friend. Not once did he look at me to answer the question. Instead he looked down with a RUDE voice and said, «chocolate bar». As if I made him utter another word. I proceeded to tell him I will need a gift receipt and he rolled his eyes. Shocked, I continued to stay calm and collected. The line grew longer because that’s how ridiculously long he took to just make a couple of returns along with a purchase. I asked him if my change will go directly back to my card. Not a word from him just a simple rude stare to his screen monitor. The register popped out and he said«No, here’s your change.» He handed me a few dollars and leaves my change right on the counter for me to pick up. He left my change near him so I had to reach all the way over just to get my change. While I was reaching over for my change he called«Next person in line.» He didn’t even care if I was done picking up my change. Not only that he didn’t even bag my eye shadow palette. So I asked him if he can bag my stuff up. Like hello. that’s what you guys do when people buy products. That pissed him off even more. He hands me a sephora bag. Yes… HEHANDEDME a sephora bag because he wasn’t going to give me anymore of his time and service. As I turned around to leave the counter register… I noticed he didn’t print me a gift receipt like I had asked him. So I quickly turned around and told him that he forgot my gift receipt. He gives me the ugliest stare, points his rude finger up, and screamed«BACKOFTHELINE!!!» and twirls his finger. This was in front of a bunch of people waiting in line. Luckily someone else was able to help me. They should fire him. If I was a manager at that sephora I would NEVERALLOW any of my staff to treat a customer that way. I called and complained, but all they said was they were going to talk to him. If you work in retail, hate or love it, you still need to act professional.

If you like to be customer serviced when your shopping for makeup this is not the place for you! What I love about this Sephora is that the associates greet you when you walk in. If you need help they will give you the great customer service that you need. The associates are knowledgable and give their honest opinion about products. I enjoy shopping here cause your not being bugged which I enjoy when I’m looking for things!

Wow just wow. I literally walked I here with the intent to splurge for my birthday. I grab a fragrance to smell and the sales associate RIPPED it out of my hand so HER customer can try it. I literally was spraying the fragrance of the test strip when she took it out of my hands. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told no one is available for my concern… AREYOUKIDDINGME?! I may just go to corporate. I will never shop at this location again.

I guess even at my age(mid 40s) you can learn something new from these youngsters. I am Not a fan of makeup. I only feel that way because I have absolutely no clue what /where/how to apply it on properly. I have a daughter that’s a cosmetologist and what she’s able to do in 5min, would take me a hour! I’m totally jealous of these beauty’s, that can apply makeup & look gorgeous! Well today decided to walk in and ask for some assistance, and some positive Karma was on my side. I was approached by the sweetest young lady named SUMMER. Yes! Even her names adorable! Needles to say we discussed my issues with foundation and within a few minutes we found the perfect color for me. I plan on returning and making a appointment with SUMMER, for a full face consultation. I really felt comfortable with her techniques, and our communication was on the same page the whole time. When i go to ask for assistance on applying makeup, the first thing i do is look at their’s and SUMMER’S, was flawless. She’s definitely in the right field… Great people skills and knowledgeable. Thanks for making a uncomfortable situation, so much fun Summer! See you soon! Just to refresh your memory.. ½ Asian/clueless that came in about 5pm this past Thursday night ;) haha

One star solely because this is the only place in the IE that sells Dior. Beside that, the service is a joke. They will not dare lift a finger to help unless it’s pointing across the store to where you should look. I was approached being asked«Are you looking for samples?» Uh, excuse me? How about some fucking help? You really think I’d circle the store with this dumb look on my face just for some samples? When I finally found what I was looking for, nothing was even stocked on the dirty, dusty ass displays. Someone came over to rummage aggressively through the unorganized bottom drawer for my product, and didn’t even attempt to make conversation let alone eye contact because she was so bothered. Seriously, this is the worst Sephora I have ever been to. All the girls looked tore up from the floor up & it’s not even holiday season yet… looks like they hire anyone off the street. I bet my boyfriend could do their makeup better and he can’t even fold a burrito. On top of all this, poor newbie was the only one working a register and obviously struggling, nervously shaking because of the long line in front of her while all the other girls just stood around. Yeah I know, retail sucks & we’ve all been there, but would it kill you to put on a fake smile and do your fucking job? It’s not like your job is that hard to begin with, especially when you don’t even look the part. Thank you for confirming why I should drive 50 miles out of my way to buy makeup from South Coast Plaza.

Unilocal really should have an option for zero stars. I have been a professional makeup artist for nearly twelve years, have worked at a competitive brand for over seven years, and have been in management for this brand for four years. It takes a lot for me to pay full price for beauty products as I get a huge discount on the brand I work for and other brands as well. The fact that I walked into Sephora(on 28 August 2015 around 1130a) with the intent of purchasing at least three items, but was treated with such a disregard helps me to remember why I rarely bother shopping there. First off, my friend(who is pushing a stroller) and I walked in and about three employees walked right past us, not even batting a lash in our direction. We were not dressed in gym clothes nor did we look like we rolled out of bed so I can’t even use that as a sorry excuse for being ignored. Many other shoppers were greeted or acknowledged, some were even asked if they needed help. In the 30 — 40 minutes that we spent in the store, we were NEVERGREETEDOREVENSMILEDAT. To top it off, I grabbed us each a basket and we were putting product in there to purchase, we weren’t just browsing and wasting time. My friend needed to exchange a foundation for a different color but we couldn’t find the brand in the store; she checked the app and saw that the JCP Sephora had it so she decided to just return the foundation at the location we were at and we would walk to the other to grab the correct color. We got in line and when it was her turn, she got to the register and KAYLA E was unfortunately, the employee that she got stuck with. Kayla E decided not to even say«hello» and this is what happened : Friend: Hi, I wanted to return this foundation and grab these products instead. Kayla E: Was something wrong with it ? Friend: No, I actually love the formula but the color changed when I wore it so I wanted a different color but you don’t carry the brand at this location so we were going to go to the one at JCP. Kayla E: Yeah, we do. Friend: Oh ! We looked for it and didn’t find it, can you tell me where it is ? Kayla: Yeah, it’s over there.(And she points across the store.) Seriously? Not only was Kayla E rude but she wasn’t helpful at all. So maybe she can’t leave the register area to walk us in the right direction. Understandable. But why not grab one of the other employees standing around and ask them to show us where it’s at ? We walked over to the brand while four employees LITERALLY stood there and watched us as I grabbed a sponge and started matching my friend to the foundation. Then, one of them finally asked if we needed help but at that point we were done matching the color. I’m not sure if they don’t know how to color match foundation or what but what is the point of working at a makeup store when you can’t(or don’t want to) help people ? We walked back to the register and luckily, someone else was available to ring up. Kayla E was ready to help someone after a minute or two but I waited for the nicer employee to ring me up. I wish I could remember her name because she was very friendly but our entire experience was so bad that I forgot to get it. KAYLA E should have been sent home on the day my friend and I visited. She had such a sour look on her face whenever dealing with any customers but managed to smile and laugh with fellow employees.(Cast members, correct ?) Either she doesn’t care about the attitude she gives off of her manager doesn’t care but something needs to change. If I was her manager and I read this review, I would definitely be having a sit down with her. I am going to also forward this review to the corporate office because I am that appalled at how horrible this experience was. I bought $ 100 worth of product and one of the products I purchased ended up having a broken seal so I exchanged it at the Montclair location where they actually care about customer service. Even though we are makeup artists, I would have at least appreciated a simple, «hi, can I help you find anything ?» And it’s not like the employees knew we were artists. They really need to have a meeting on how they are expected to treat customers. Now, I understand why so many customers come to us complaining about not only the makeup skills that Sephora has to offer but also the lack of customer service. As a manager, I know that sometimes, customers can embellish the truth on bad customer service experiences. I can truthfully say that everything I typed in this review is exactly what happened. Being in the retail world, I love to praise people when they do well and I am not afraid to be blunt about bad experiences. Needless to say, I probably will not visit this location again and will make sure to direct everyone I know to the location at Montclair instead.

Although this location has a nice selection of brands and makeup, I am hesitant to ask for help from the employees. One time I asked one employee to match me with an Anastasia’s eyebrow pencil. And she proceeded to try it on me. When I looked into the mirror. I was horrified. This girl is suppose to be good at doing makeup. I mean I am not a makeup expert… But a simple eyebrow fill… Anyways i politely thanked her and wiped the makeup away. I wasn’t angry because of this. What made me upset was that they had free mini contours on that day. I asked if I could have a mini contour. And another employee said. Well you can’t because you already had a free mini makeover. She was referring to the eyebrow fillings… Ok…

This is probably the best sized Sephora. Not too big to overwhelm you and cause you to waste hours browsing(yes you can totally get lost in all the selections) but also not too small where you don’t find the things you want. The staff is friendly and helpful, they don’t approach you unless you look like you’re looking for help which is the best kind of help, in my opinion. Nobody likes to be bothered all the time during intense shopping. I was here on a fairly busy Saturday and the line looked really scary but it moved along surprisingly quickly.
