Love their chow mein and bbq pork. The chow mein is golden yellow and is the best tasting in redlands by far. The bbq pork… seems like all the chinese places don’t make it anymore, so I was quite happy to see that they have it. It’s very good. This place give you generous helpings as well.

Try it over and over… Guess I’m insane expecting it to be better. Last shot after finding nasty chopped beef served to me in my chow mein. I ordered chicken and chow mein not sure how a chunk of beef ended up in there…

First of all, bad customer service and very rude. Food was disgusting, dry and not fresh. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I have to say aside from the fact that they’re pretty rude(guy) the food wasn’t good, it had no flavor wasn’t fresh. Very disappointed. I would never go back!!!

Yikes! I just wanted a quick, inexpensive meal to satisfy my Chinese food craving. I can’t really describe what I experienced except to say I will never go back. The food was not fresh, and tasted several days old. Such a disappointment.

Good food most of the time, cheap, good service. Food sits under heat lamps so try to get it fresh for best taste and texture.

The food here is consistently good– used to come several times a week and never been disappointed. Their Eggplant Tofu is the best I’ve had anywhere, and the stir fried vegetables are so good you can just eat them plain. Their wonton soup is a great deal, and very fresh and delicious(And HOT!) Every time I go in there, I am treated courteously and promptly. Oh, and the $ 2.50 Tuesday bowls are a great deal. Not a super fancy place, but nice enough inside, with plenity of sitting room. Highly recommended.

I will never eat there again! I witnessed the same tongs used to transfer chicken and other food items being served onto same dishes. Beverage dispenser disgustingly dirty. NO soap nor sanitizer in facilites provided. Staff had no management direction –choas. Spoke with«owner» very rude, unprofessional and yelled at the top of his lungs at employees.. Trash cans filled to the top, trash on floor and not inside trash cans. close to eating ares. Please dont eat there!!! Spend a little more money somewhere else. Children and the elderly are more at risk for Salmonella.

The staff is friendly and the place is clean… but the food is not good at all. I don’t know if I just went there on a bad day or if it’s always like that. The food was so salty, I ended up throwing it away. I had orange chicken and even that was salty. orange chicken was salty. that should tell you the type of food they are serving here.

Friendly enough staff. But the food is subpar. Orange chicken was burnt and other dishes were flavorless. Pretty sure they watered down the sweet and sour sauce. That’s just being plain old cheap man.

This place is DISGUSTING! Not only does their food sit out forever, I watched the«chef» take the chowmein from the line and put it back into the wok to ‘re-reheat/revive to make look fresh. AND then while waiting for my wonton soup the same man went to the freezer and got the wontons out and dropped one on the floor, he bent down picked it up and threw it back into the bucket in the freezer with the other wontons for someone else to eat… don’t have the wontons for a while!

I used to work here in high school, so three years ago. Do not eat here! They are the greediest owners and do not take care of their food. I saw someone dropped some of their frozen dumplings in the wash bucket(the bucket of water and maybe bleach that never gets switched out to wipe down the tables ALLDAY). I showed the wife owner and she got mad at me like I had done it. Of course it was probably her children that ran around like a circus. She proceeded to pull a tray with other dumplings out of the freezer and pulled the soggy dumplings from the bucket and placing them on the tray. Given, these things could have been soaking for hours. Then she put the tray BACKINTHEFREEZER. I tried to tell her you can’t do that, but they pretended to not understand me. The husband owner even went as far as hit the back of my head once, so I was not about to fight with them over this. Also, I was working a two-dollar-Tuesday(back before they added 50 cents) and the husband dropped all the freshly made orange chicken on the floor. He then sweeps it up with the broom into the dust pan, goes in the back kitchen, then, not even 3 minutes later, he comes out with new orange chicken… They make the orange chicken behind the counter in front of you… He had to have put the dirty chicken in a new tray and brought it back out to serve! I didn’t see it with my own eyes, but come on it’s nonnegotiable. I suffered from workers abuse from them, and left with a bang. Do not eat here! People get sick.

I have been here a couple times(mainly on Tuesdays because of the $ 2.50 bowl) and everyime my boyfriend and I always end up sick. The food taste like it has been sitting around for a couple of hours. Few a the times that I have been here there is a little girl at least 10 — 13 years old working the cash register(I always thought that was against the law) and other little kids running around the restaurant… I will never go back here again…

Three stars is for the food, which is exactly what I wanted. I was starving, and was in the mood for inexpensive Chinese food. I love so many of the shops in the area and come here often, so I was so happy to find this place on Unilocal.I went with a smile on my face, but it didn’t last, due to the lackluster service I received from the rude Hispanic girl behind the counter.(I would give her name, but no one was wearing a name badge) Just a real lack of customer service here. Answered my questions about the food reluctantly and not very audibly, so I had to ask everything twice. No smile or even pleasant face. Gave me my change without saying a word, no «thank-you» — nothing. I was the only one in line, with a mostly empty restaurant, so I don’t think it can be that they were too busy to treat me like a person. Since the combos don’t come with a drink, I realized this too late and had to pay for it separately. That seemed to annoy this employee that I was adding onto the work she had to do on my behalf. I’m wondering why the employees don’t automatically ask if the customer wants a drink if it is an order to dine in? Seems like a missed opportunity for company sales AND customer satisfaction. Of course I guess the employee would have to care, for that to happen. I will be checking out other Chinese food places in the area before coming back to this one, I think. I’m not saying I won’t be back, but I certainly won’t hurry back.

One of my favorite fast food stops in Citrus Plaza the chef’s specials are the way to go. My favorite is the schezwan eggplant and tofu. Made fresh, it is very tasty. I tend to avoid buffet types of places but this one is worth a try. Although I’ve seen a lot of varying opinions, I’ve not been disappointed. The lunch specials are hard to beat for both price and quantity. They allow tastes of anything on the buffet before you order so you can be sure to get what you like. I opt for the stir fry veggies instead of chow mein or fried rice and be aware that the place is packed for lunch as many local business people come in. Don’t expect fancy as it is merely functional. Staff isn’t super sophisticated but if you need a quick, well priced lunch – this is a great option and seating outside is near a fountain so you have both indoor and outdoor eating options.

While most customers order $ 5 or $ 6 combination plates from steam trays here, I don’t. Instead I generally come to order two Chef’s Specials entrees to take home, which are each in the $ 8 to $ 9 range, plus the excellent Wor Wonton Soup that is prepared here. Vegetarian Egg Rolls and Fried Shrimp are also notable. On this latest foray I ordered Black Pepper Steak, Cashew Shrimp in Brown Sauce, and of course a large container of Wor Wonton Soup, plus an Egg Roll and one order of Fried Shrimp. The latter comes 3 shrimp to an order, but the chef provided me with 4, making Diane very happy when I arrived home with our takeout dinner. The shrimp are small plump fantails that are wok-fried when ordered, and taste great in the fruity Sweet & Sour Sauce that is also provided without extra charge upon request. The Wor Wonton Soup was loaded with soft wontons, shrimp, chicken, fresh mushrooms, carrots, and other vegetables in a hot and slightly spicy broth. Black Pepper Steak contained high quality beef wok-fried medium to medium rare, with White Onions and Green Peppers in a peppery sauce, and was served along with a pint of Steamed White Rice. The Cashew Shrimp featured about 20 wok-fried shrimp and numerous cooked cashews bonded together by a thick but mild Brown Sauce, and also accompanied by a pint of Steamed White Rice. I saw my order cooked in front of me, so know it was freshly prepared. Entrée portions were quite large, furnishing lunch for two the next day in addition to two dinners the night before. And the food was all fresh and well prepared – clearly worth the $ 28 I paid, which might be expensive for Chinese takeout but would likely cost double that at a fine sit-down Chinese restaurant serving the same quality of food. So, I have no complaints. I generally find the old adage to be true that«you get what you pay for.» Whatever the product, high quality simply costs more.
