Wow this place is amazing. My husband and I are bumming hard that we just heard about it! Love how small it is and the chill vibe inside. Now let’s talk about the food. Unreal. So good. We had the artichoke dip with the warmest crunchy Bread(they were even nice enough to bring us more of it!) And the beef cheek brisket Sammie. So tender & so much flavor! Such a great wine & beer selection too! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive too! The only bad thing… They are closing in two weeks because the owners are moving to Italy. Nooooooooo :(

I went here to meet up with some friends. It was kinda weird when we first got here, considering this place is in a business park. When we got inside, we totally forgot about where we were considering this wine bar is freaking cute inside, lol. It was a busy night because they had live music going on, but we were able to score some seats at the bar. Being a total wine noob, I asked the bartender to get me a nice beginner glass of wine, which was still pretty strong for me. Once I finished that, I opted for beer, which they had a good selection of that night. I was getting hungry so I ordered some food for my friends and I. I got a fruit and cheese plate, as well as some fried risotto thing… forgot the name… both were really good!!! I definitely would get these appetizers again, and maybe try more! Like I mentioned before, this wine bar is totally cute. I am not sure how I should describe it, but it was like a modern, hipster, dapper bar, with a hint of Napa, lol. You gotta see it! Overall, having a night here at The Dregs was a nice experience. Especially after years of going to the same bars in DTR, going here was a nice change of scenery. I would definitely visit again for the drinks, food and company. Thanks!

The closest thing to being in LA, while staying in Redlands. I have lived in LA(mid city west) for almost 3 years and the dreggs def gave me that LA vibe. Small, quaint, hipster, and private. Food was salty and over priced, the wine was great. I don’t mind spending $ 35 for dinner if its worth it, but here was not. Def would come back when I am in town, but just for the wine.

I wanted to like this place but after my first experience I won’t be back. Ordered a bottle of wine to share with friends and after that our server didn’t check back with us for about 30 minutes. We had to stop and ask her if we could order food. Our entrees came out before our appetizer. One of the employees told us the appetizer order had not been put in but would be out shortly and comped from our check. I finished my entrée and our appetizer still wasn’t out. This place isn’t exactly a large restaurant. It shouldn’t have been this much of an issue. We finally got our appetizer(artichoke dip) which came with a tiny portion of bread. When we asked for more we were told no. Having worked in a restaurant before I found this whole experience ridiculous. The food was good but not worth the experience.

I really love the ambiance of this place. Really great idea. The food here is very good and the chef was willing to switch things up to make it vegan. I would give 5 stars of there was a regular item that was vegan but there is not. Other than that the service was great, staff was really nice and it looked like there we’re lots of good libations flowing freely.

Cool local dining and watering hole! They have one of the most creative dishes and excellent selection of beers and wines in Inland Empire. Don’t get turned off by the location or that you have a ring a bell to get in. Once you’re in, you’ll have a good time. Guaranteed.

Traveled to the foreign land of Redlands to visit some friends… okay, it’s not that far from where I live… but it’s still so far east for me! After being turned away at a lounge because we didn’t have reservations, we came to Dregs and I’m glad we did! The food was great! Got some wangz and steak. The steak came with a side of polenta, but it isn’t the kind of polenta I’m used to. They had a variety of wines and beers on their menu. Had a cab and tempranillo there and the wine was veryyyy good. The bathroom is kind of in an awkward area as you end up in the kitchen area. But I like the low key and exclusive vibe. Perfect spot for a date or just to catch up with friends and grab a drink. Definitely a must go to spot if you’re in the area.

Dregs is a small wine/beer bar in Redlands. I first met Ryan when Dregs was in downtown Redlands in the second floor of a office building. It was a very small space but it was really chill compared to some of the other stuff in that area. His space how in the industrial area is much better. Still not that big(about 30 – 40 max) but it’s a very cool spot and boy does Ryan have some good wines and beer. Another great thing about this new spot is Chef Itztli’s food. I knew him from before he was here as a hip, fresh caterer and having him at Dregs is a match made in heaven. My only dislike is that now it’s getting so popular that it’s packed even on weekdays and there’s often times a wait. I liked it better when i had this place to myself! But good job to Ryan and Itztli, you guys deserve it!

I’ve eaten here about 3 times and I can give a pretty good review of the food, and the place in general. To find this place you must read, or text the number. You enter behind the building and have to ring the bell(actually flashes a light). Once in you’re in a garage. Yes the back roll up of the cooking school out front. But inside you’ll quickly forget, or care. It’s urban loft style is normal these days. The place is first a wine bar, but with a great beer selection. Both change continuously, so don’t expect to have a «go to» bottle of anything. We’ve gone through a menu change, I’m told they do every few months. I’d say we’ve had everything on both menus. This trip we had Grilled veges, ham hock, mushroom tart, lamb meatloaf, cassoulet, marinated olives, porkbelly ramen. Overall the dishes are fairly priced, the beer and wine was also very reasonable. The staff is 5 stars, but I took 1 star away because although the food is good, it has been at times under-salted and this time things seemed a bit over salted. But nothing is enough to make us not frequent this place. Fun little hidden place in Redlands, but not too far from Riverside.

Recently had a very nice trip here(see wangs and fruit plate pics). This place is tucked away in the back alley of a shopping center with just a spray painting on the door. Ringing the doorbell will flash lights inside, and is indeed the nicest way to get in… but most effective is a hard knock on the door. The place is tiny inside, so expect to sit against the wall with stool and a 2 foot wide table plank from the wall. The bar is a small L shaped affair and also great for seating. There is a couch and a few tables, but don’t bother bringing your party of 10 here without calling ahead. The menu is seasonal and eclectic(rabbit, kangaroo, seasonal beers and wine, sangria sorbet with nitrogen…) They project movies on the wall while spinning vinyl from all genres. A very cool laid back place to take a date… but difficult to get service on peak nights because of size. Quality is high here and the staff is knowledgeable about the food and beers/wine. The specialize in wines and have local beers on tap. Certain days are discounted on one thing or another, so sign up for their texts or add them on Facebook. If you’re looking for a hip, speakeasy vibe without being themed, stop in here. A very unique place in Redlands! It is moderately priced, so don’t come in starving. It’s best for appetizers and a few beers/glasses of wine. Don’t forget to check the cooler at the far end for bottles/cans to go or for serving there. That’s where I always find the extra special stuff!

San Berdoo is known for many dreadful things such as rampant crime and unemployment, wide spread ghettos, bankruptcy, ineffective PD, etc. It is not known for hipness, culinary delight, or exclusive hang out. The Dregs has proven me wrong on all of the above 3 accounts. To wit: It’s hip alright. Is it a warehouse? Yes. Is it a brewery? Yes. Is it a beer bar? Yes. Is it a wine bar? Yes. Is it a restaurant? Yes. Does it have«vibe»? Yes. Does it have neon sign? Yes. Low level lighting with spotlights and candle lights? Yes. Does it have silent black and white movie playing? Why, yes. Culinary is absolutely delighted alright. It’s small dish tapas style food with a touch of Spanish fusion. Check this out: rabbit tacos! Where the heck in San Berdoo, or anywhere nearby IE, can you get rabbit tacos? And it was delish. Octopus ceviche? Really? Yes. Wow. The hamburger: I know, ho-hum bar food, right? OMG. To die for. It’s a mix of beef/pork(chorizo actually) like slater but oh so much better. If you’re a slater burger fan and have not try the burger here, I can only say that I’m sorry for you missing out. And the beers? They’re draft on taps but they also have a variety of bottled beers. The drafts are more like ales than beer with distinctive taste to each brew. Beer aficionados will appreciate the different brews here. And the bartender is very helpful and will poor you some sample before you order. Very nice bar service. It is exclusive alright. Not in the sense of high browse, snotty nose exclusiveness. No, it’s a brewery/beer bar after all. But if you’re a first timer I’d bet that you can’t find it on the first try. Heck, even the people working in the same complex only have«heard of rumor» of a brewery on site!!! I was lost and I thought I asked the«local», right? Even the local was not aware of its exact location. If you text«help» to their phone number you’ll get more details information to get there. But lucky for you, I am here to show you. Skip the main complex parking lot. Go to the back alley and look for a door with a small bottle sign on it. That’s it. No name. No lights. No arrows. No red rope. Just a non-descript door. Oh. And it’s locked from the outside. You must ring the door«bell» 3x and wait for someone to let you in. Remind me of a secret bar in NY that the entrance is through a pay phone! Exclusive. Check it out. Places like this are rare and deserve your patronage and money. San Berdoo needs more places like this to thrive. Heck. Any city would be lucky to have a beer bar like this.

I felt like I was gonna get mugged walking down that alley looking for the dregs. Once inside, I felt like I could get stabbed for looking at someone the wrong way. I also really wanted to dig thru the vinyl. Nice selection of brew & friendly staff.

Visited on a Saturday evening around 7pm. As with other reviews, just a reminder that this can be difficult to find if you don’t know the are well. Went for dinner, but this is much more of a bar place. Menu was very limited(especially for a vegetarian) –which I know is a thing for upscale places. Wine and beer list was expansive. I think if the menu was expanded there could be more dinner traffic. I would only return for drinks and apps. Service was great, my first glass of wine was totally tasteless(2011 Pinot noir) and it was exchanged free of charge. Go for the drinks! If going for the speak easy atmosphere… it was definitely there, but could still use a little bit of work in terms of ambiance. Maybe more cozy?

This place is located in a wearhouse alley with just a picture of a black Bottle on the door. Blink and you will miss the entrance. I came here on a Saturday night. We ordered a bottle of wine and had an appetizer, thecheese plate. The fig goat cheese was really tasty. The menu is basically mexican bar food. The reason i gave it two stars is because first off the lighting in this wearhouse is really bright. The décor is nice though, a hipster flapper feel to it. Second and most crucial, the music in this place was soooo Sooo obnoxiously loud. We Couldn’t even enjoy our time or finish our Bottle for That matter. We hurried out of there in fear of our eat drums exploding. Sad because i did hear good things about this place, byt i will not be back.

SADLYCLOSED Think speakeasy with wine. We have been fans of Dregs since they were in a walkin closet in downtown. They have some interesting wines and they rotate. We loved the spring menu, flip through the pictures the baby grilled octopus with edible yellow flowers almost too pretty to eat. The putine was good too. The meats were mixed, the steak was good not great and the chorizo burger was way better than you can think that combo would be. Wine Wednesday means they have half off flights, and you can learn a lot of their taste in wine in the flights. Its fun and only across the kitchen complex from the Cooking Block, also good fun and education at the same time.

I like the concept of this place, like a modern day speak easy. You have to search for it as you can’t google the address. You can call them to get the address or find it how My boyfriend I found it, word of mouth. When you do locate it hidden in a back alley/lot you go up to the door with a picture of a sideways bottle on it and ring the doorbell 3 times and someone will let you in. Every time someone rings the bell 3 times the lights inside flicker. The atmosphere and vibe of the place feels intimate and relaxing. They have a silent movie projecting on the far back wall that’s pretty cool and different, a few tables, and a decent size bar. They also have music playing and the décor is nice. The staff is super friendly and willing to give suggestions on food and drink items and just overall make you feel at home and welcomed. Now their food is amazing and is enough reason to go. Their menu isn’t any old regular bar menu, it seems a little more on the experimental side. I went and had a wild boar chorizo burger which was delicious and the appetizer I had was poutine, which is French fries with gravy and ox tail meat with an egg on top. Pretty yummy! They also switch out their menus so it’s pretty exciting to see what they come out with next. My only 2 complaints about this place would be the lack of selections for beer on tap and that they only have 1 restroom for both guys and girls to share. One time when I went the one restroom was out of order so My boyfriend and I just stayed for one drink and another time I had to wait a while as there was a bit of a line. Those were the only two times I had an issue with the restroom though as most of the time it’s available with no wait however if there were a lot of people I think there might be an issue. The beer they have on tap is good but there’s not much to choose from. They have around 6 beers on tap however they do have a large selection of bottled beer and wine. This is a nice relaxing place to go that’s fun and different from your usual bars. Their food is great and is a must try and the whole concept of it being a modern day speak easy is really cool. If you can find it, I suggest you give it a try!

Been a while since I’ve been in, and they are as great as ever. Love the rotating menu(both wine and food). Currently, I’m crazy about the Risotto(rabbit or asparagus), the pork chop, and the steak. It’s so hard to choose between the frites and the veggies! The sleepy hollow syrah is also delish. Glad to see the new staff settling in nicely.

Six Stars !!(darn, Unilocal doesn’t go to six) I went with Abby who is a regular, so our service was likely more attentive than normal. Our server Amanda kept stopping by to chat and Carlos, the executive chef came out to chat several times as well. Amanda recommended a Syrah for Abby and I ordered the«All Golfers Must Die» Mead. Both were delicious, and the addition of the lemon to this mead cuts the usual too-sweet down to a manageable level. Started with the«Raspberry Beret» salad, the Veggie Risotto, and frites. Abby expected actual raspberries in the salad, but after tasting it declared she was happier without. Asked for and got some aioli to dip the fries in — these are just perfection with herbs and chili oil. The risotto was perfect, and the asparagus in the risotto was tender and delicious. Abby’s entrée was the pork chop. The pork chop was delightful(I only was permitted one bite), and the pepper mustard glaze was well balanced without overwhelming the meat. We both got the vegetable side dish and this was very good as well. I had the boar and chorizo burger on challah bun. I thought the smoky gouda was a little too strong, overwhelming the meat, and overall it would have benefited from a milder cheese. Carlos said this is not the right chorizo(supplier problems), and that usually the gouda is a minor note. I ate it all, and it was still delicious. We ordered the octopus on frisee for dessert, and I ate most of the octopus while Abby ate most of the frisee. This was very well balanced and flavored. Overall, not inexpensive, but extremely satisfying.
