Jim’s done a number of pieces for me over the years, but by far the most amazing was the hutch he made. It was based on pictures of an antique hutch that belonged to my grandmother,. Jim carefully scaled the new piece to fit perfectly in a contemporary condo. He paid attention to every detail, working with us to find the perfect color of stain to coordinate with the walls and with the vintage dishes that we wanted to display. Drawers, cabinet doors — everything about the piece is elegant yet functional.

This company provides custom furniture and built-​ins of the absolute highest quality. In business for more than fifteen years now, it’s a firm with an established reputation and a lot of repeat business.
Jim is an incredible woodworker. Not only is his technical skill well above average (leading to publication in Fine Woodworking, among other recognition), but his design sense is amazing.
He comes to your home, discusses the space, what you like, what you need, and your schedule and budget, and then custom-​designs furniture for you. After you approve the bid and make a deposit, the work will usually be completed in four to eight weeks… but Jim is very busy sometimes and it can take longer. The wait is worth it! The furniture will be delivered and carefully installed in your home.
Everything Jim makes uses only the highest-​grade hardwoods, finishes, and hardware. It’s meant to become a family heirloom. You will take great pride and pleasure in owning such beautiful, functional furniture. Nobody does it better than Jim and his staff. :-) It’s not cheap, but it is very rare to find this level of service and craftsmanship in the IKEA age, so it’s worth it.
