Been going here for a good while and every time it is just awesome. The service is great, the people are nice, and the atmosphere is quite refreshing. Friendly staff and service as well. Weekends are usually very packed so try to go early! A big favorite of mine is the Almond Crunch French Toast! So great!

Love the food. Love the staff. Look forward to coming here for breakfast and lunch. Obviously, so does everyone else because they are always busy.

This is hands down the best breakfast in Redmond. Very good food and coffee in the heart of town. Make sure you come hungry!

This is my favorite breakfast place. There is always a wait, but it has never seemed very long, even while waiting with 2 little kids. The M&M hot chocolate and M&M pancakes are my kids’ favorites. I love their omelettes. They are huge, so I order a half omelette and it’s just perfect. I like my coffee strong and it can be hit or miss at Village Square.

One of my favorite breakfast spots or whenever I want breakfast for lunch or dinner. Great variety of choices with healthy options. Attentive and friendly wait staff. Consistent quality. Reasonably priced.

I got here on a Sunday right around brunch time. I expected it to be busy and we were told a 20 minute wait. I think it was closer to 15 which was a pleasant surprise. The customer service was good and my coffee cup was always full. I ordered the corned beef hash with a side of biscuits and gravy. The corned beef hash was pretty good but the biscuits and gravy left a little something to be desired. Not bad but not amazing either. All in all a good experience with good service and good food but not amazing food and I don’t find myself with the craving to go back.

Great prices, great atmosphere, good food. Food is not spectacular, but that would be the wrong expectation for a dinner. The fruits were fresh and plenty, I can see the fridge from here and all the containers are marked with a date, and that date is today. The staff is friendly and efficient. I think this place is officially my favorite breakfast place on the east side.

Standard to above-average diner food. The décor is nicely done as an homage to post-WWII era America but for the price, I would rather go to Trellis or Pomegranate for breakfast. My favorite thing on the menu is the monte cristo sandwich.

I love this place! It’s my go to for weekend brunch. Brunch is my favorite meal so I really need everything to be perfect and these people do it right every time. On the weekend there can be a little bit of a wait before you’re seated because it’s popular and busy; it’s worth the wait! I always get the ½ hobo omelette and ½ order of berry blintz crepes which are unreal delicious. They also have super fast and friendly service, great coffee, and a very nice laid back vibe.

What diner has a line for tables at 10am on a Monday? This one. But let me tell you, the wait is worth it — and, at least when we were there, it wasn’t too long. Village Square Café is old-school diner food in an old-timey environment. The interior is decorated with antique bicycles and bike memorabilia, a nod to Redmond’s nickname, The Bicycle Capital of the Northwest. You can sit at a booth or at the counter, and everything is pleasant and clean. The portions are shockingly big: I ordered scrambled eggs, which came with hash browns and a choice of toast. I selected a biscuit, but what arrived were two very large biscuits that covered the hash browns that covered half the plate! Likewise, my daughter ordered classic French toast, and received a massive stack topped with fresh whipped cream and freshly sliced strawberries. We were both impressed that although the portions were large, the quality was excellent — fresh and flavorful food. Easy parking, great food, fun atmosphere — what’s not to like?

Very good traditional café with a counter, booths, tables — and kind of a 50’s vibe. I’m familiar with the breakfast menu and have not been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. My standby is the buttermilk waffle, sometimes with a side of bacon. I especially like that the tea they serve is loose leaf, and they chill the glasses for soft drinks(at least root beer). Prices are what you’d expect for downtown Redmond which is to say slightly high but bearable. Servers and busboys are nice. Restaurant is clean and generally busy.

Quaint atmosphere, delish and quick breakfast, endless hot coffee, friendly staff, and purse hooks at the breakfast bar.(Girls know what these are!) No reason to give less than 5 stars!

Lunch around noon, this place was packed though luckily we found seating at the bar. Lots of selection of eggs, pancakes and brunch foods that I had a hard time deciding what to order! Tried the corn beef hash, and found the portions generous and the meat was smokey and delicious. Migas were great too — they came with a choice of hash browns and toast or pancakes. Prices were moderate but they do give generous portions. Our server was so sweet and attentive even though this place was busy. Will be visiting again!

Huge portions and decent coffee. Had the corned beef hash with biscuits and gravy, and if didn’t have two cups of coffee I would surely be passed out in my car right now. Very busy restaurant but worth the wait if you are hungry and need a solid breakfast/brunch

We stopped in for brunch after church today, our meal was just ok… typical diner food. Some of it was a touch under cooked as well. The service is pretty good but did feel a little slow at times. There was a bit of a wait and the hostess wasn’t very friendly… she wasn’t happy with where we were waiting and told us to move to an area by the window to stand behind diners at the bar service area. Which to me would be irritating to those diners. I don’t know if we’ll be back as the experience wasn’t great just mediocre.

Found this gem when we came in go town for the Ugly Sweater Run 2015! Came in and was seated right away. Attentive staff. M & M Hot Cocoa… yes please. Eggs benedict(California style) and a breakfast quesadilla! ½ orders available too! Great food, great service, great place! We want to try lunch next!

Breakfast with friend on a Monday at 9am. Plenty of seating and parking available. FOOD: 4.0. I had a half-order of Eggs Benedict which came with fresh fruit. Half an order was perfect volume. The fresh fruit portion was generous with strawberries, pineapple, and grapes; alternatively one could choose pancakes, or hash browns with toast. COFFEE: 3.0. Bottomless cup for $ 2.50. Middling taste; slightly burnt but very bearable. SERVICE: 4.5. Prompt and very friendly service by fresh-faced staff. AMBIANCE: 4.0. Clean 1950s style décor with booths and a lunch counter. Wall decorations included reproductions of magazine ads from that era.

We visited on a Monday morning. They were VERY busy, so I commend the service for keeping up pretty well, but not for being near-rude. We were very happy with the service we had been getting, knowing how busy they were, but when you have to ask a 3rd time for something, and the waitress STILL acts like she’s brushing you off… We wondered if we angered the waitress, but had no explanation for why we may have done so. It was strange… Anyways… The food was soooooo good! Also, very generous portions. We wanted desperately to take our leftovers, but had nowhere to keep them cold, as we were on our way to the Oregon coast. I would definitely visit again, hoping that I didn’t get the same waitress.

In short, its pretty good food with good portions at a decent price. There’s always a line here as far as i could tell — I just question whether it’s worth the 30min(on average) wait sometimes. If you get there earlier, say 9am on the weekend, then you might wait 15 to 20 mins, but as morning goes on the wait time keeps accumulating. That means by 10am, you generally are waiting 30 to 40 mins. The food is good. However, you can’t place reservations from what I’ve seen, so I don’t know if it’s all that worth waiting especially since there’s no seating area. We went on a Saturday morning and waited for 25 mins or more at 9:30am. You can wait outside of the restaurant, the hostess will come grab you and walk you to the table. As for my favorite menu item, I’d recommend pretty much any of the French toast especially the almond crunch.

What a gem of a breakfast/brunch spot! I came here for breakfast over the weekend with my kids, and let me tell you, their M&M hot chocolate won some serious points. As if that wasn’t enough candy for breakfast, two of my children opted for the M&M pancakes, which are pancakes served with M&Ms sprinkled on top. Yeah, probably not the wisest move to load the kids up with sugar when the ratio was 3:1! My oldest opted for the egg, bacon, hash browns and toast from the kids menu — such a generous serving for kids. I love that they give you the option of ordering half an omelette here. I got the Popeye omelette, which is filled with spinach, Swiss cheese, bacon and served with avocado slices on top. I also got toast and shredded hash browns. I felt like the omelette was the perfect portion size, and I really enjoyed the wheat bread they served. The hash browns came out well done and crispy, just as I requested. Coffee was good, and my cup was never empty. Service was well-paced and friendly, even when they started getting busy. I know this is going to become one of our family’s favorite weekend breakfast spots — my husband will want to try their corned beef hash, which seems to be a restaurant favorite.
