Amazing place — this was my first visit and I can not say enough about the AMAZING variety! The staff was very helpful and kind — I can not wait to go back.

Well, I have been going to Aquatic Fantasy for about a month now and the place is amazing. I have two reef tanks, one at home in Redondo Beach and one at work in Down Town Los Angeles. So I have been to other stores and they do not have anything on Aquatic Fantasy! I have experienced parasites on fish from other stores, boring colorless corals, run of the mill fish and worst of all a dirty store! Let me tell you that Aquatic Fantasy is the opposite. It is clean, they have an amazing selection of corals, fish, lighting, food, etc… Most of all, you can tell that everyone is there because they are passionate about fish and love what they do. They are always happy to see you and greet you at the door when you arrive. I have never had any trouble with their fish or corals and their selection of corals is amazing! So colorful and gorgeous. When you compare my two tanks, the one at the office and the one at home, there is a HUGE difference. My home tank makes my work tank look boring and bland!!! This is by far the best Salt Water, Coral shop I have been to and they will have a customer for life!!! I use another company for service on my tanks, but once the service contract is up, I will be using Aquatic Fantasy to service my home tank. Also, they have new owners, I dont know how long they have been there, but they are very gracious as well. Don’t hesitate, go to Aquatic Fantasy!!!

Best store in the South Bay, hands down. Lisa is really knowledgeable, the stock is great, and they care for the animals.

Bf and I stopped by Aquatic Fantasy on a Saturday. It’s close to Kirari West Bakery, Carl’s Junior and Charlie’s. It specializes in salt-​water fish. You can find everything from fish tanks to exotic corals.
As we entered, we saw a huge tank to our left with beautiful tropical salt water fish. It contained a variety of interesting fish that you normally don’t find in other shops.
The two staff members were helpful, but gave us plenty of room for us to roam around. We even picked up a pen with Aquatic Fantasy logo.

Aquatic Fantasy is very and I mean very overpriced. Nothing they have is worth buying. I would give them credit because some the fish tanks are clean. I would not buy anything from them.

Have been buying there and having them service my marine tank for years!!! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. The owners and staff are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Yes you can buy run of the mill aquarium items on the internet for less. However, you will get better quality hand selected fish, corals, and invertibrates. Plus, on the internet you don’t get advice and if you do, you don’t know if it is dependable. If you are in the hobby this place is worth a look!

I almost wanted to give this place a 3 because I didn’t like their customer service. They weren’t very friendly, except for one guy. Once we walked in, he was kind enough to welcome us, but he left shortly after. As we were walking around no one really asked if we needed help until the end. And even so, she wasn’t very nice or friendly about it.
However, the place is so clean! I have never in my life ever seen any fish store as clean as this place. It’s a small shop, but omg every tank was spotless. There was no algae anywhere, the water was clear as crystal! Normally most fish stores make me feel gross and dirty, and I never want to touch anything, but not this place! 4 stars for cleanness!

This place is great! Solid selection of fish, corals, and inverts. The store itself was impeccable, not one dirty tank or dead fish. Prices although a tad bit on the high side were clearly labeled on printed stickers placed on each tank. The staff was very helpful, one of the owners happened to help me and admittedly I played a little dumb to see what kind of service I would receive and she was extremely patient and informative, just an all around nice person. This place has earned the title of my go to store for live stock. I’m so happy I won’t have to resort to ordering online.

First time here awesome help and would definitely recommend this place for all your marine and reef aquarium needs. The kind lady also told me the specific gravity of what aquatic animal I got to help the transition to my tank. Will come here again! And I live In glendale. So a far drive well worth it!

I’ve had my fish tank for about two years now. I’ve been coming to aquatic fantasy for about a year and a half and they are the BEST fish store I’ve ever seen.
All of the employees are extremely helpful and knowledgable. They have giving me such great advice throughout the history of my aquarium and helped save and recover so many of my corals and fish. They go above and beyond with customer service and are extremely friendly.
The prices are very fair and the quality of the fish and coral is unmatched. Everything I’ve purchased has been very hearty and never dies right away.
Hands down cleanest, newest and well kept fish stores I’ve ever been to. I HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone with a saltwater tank.

This place is awesome hands down one of the best aquarium stores in the South Bay I tell everyone it’s like the Apple Store of fish stores ! The guys who run the place are really cool and knowledgeable I bought a jeweled moray from them a couple months back and it’s Doing fantastic I would recommend this place to anyone who is over the traditional dingy dark and wet aquarium stores

Technically it was closed at 6, but went a few minutes after and wouldnt let me in but full staff was there. Sorrry for being picky but could just have said were closed but feel free to take a minute. Will be happy to change my review if addressed

I had Jim come out to clean my saltwater aquarium for a Christmas party I was having and let me say this, Aquatic fantasy will be cleaning my tank for now on! He did an unbelievable job. The rocks and coral were placed in such a way it’s like artwork!
They were also very accommodating squeezing me in on such short notice. Thanks Jim you’re were a huge help.

Beautiful inside with a knowledgable staff

Popped in on my lunch break thinking they had both fresh and salt water. Turns out it’s only the latter so it didn’t meet what I was looking for, but that’s ok. I still looked around and I can tell they are a great store to check out if you are looking for saltwater livestock, corals, live rock, etc.
They have a beautiful display tank right up front and everything is new, clean, and in pristine condition. They definitely know what they are doing in there and could probably give some good advice to the saltwater enthusiast.

This is absolutely my FAVORITE saltwater fish store! I’ve tried a variety of stores from LA to Culver City to Manhattan Beach and this is easily the best fish store. They only sell saltwater fish and everything for tanks; because of this, they are very knowledgeable about pretty much everything one needs to know about the saltwater tank world. I have been shopping at this store for almost 4 years now and I would drive a distance for it if I had to (luckily, it’s right across the street!). The new store is amazing! It’s so clean and well-​organized. I love strolling through and looking at what’s new in the tanks.
I have been getting my tank serviced (about every month) with them for the past 3 ½ years. JASON has been my guy from the start and he is super awesome! He does such a thorough job and really leaves my tank looking as good as new! He’s also very personable and answers all my questions about my fish and tanks. He’s experienced and professional and I always look forward to his appointments.
If you have a saltwater tank or are interested in getting started with one, Aquatic Fantasy is your first stop!

Wowwww, this is the BEST saltwater fish store in Southern California because:
1. Great coral and fish selection that are maintained well and are realllly healthy.
2. Verrry knowledgeable & ethical staff and management.
3. Great aquarium displays.
Specifically, I had 2 previous mandarin fishes die on me even though I have a
well established reef tank with a large copepod colony; in hindsight, I should
have asked these «other» fish stores to prove the mandarin is eating & healthy
before my purchase.
Aquatic Fantasy did prove the mandarin is eating before my purchase and now I
have a Beautiful, Healthy & Thriving Red Mandarin in my reef tank! :)

My wife had the day off, and after breakfast with our son, We decided to take a look at this shop, as we had heard it was a nice selection and just wanted to check it out…
The store itself is very nicely organized!!! The display tank in the front is awesome, and the frag tanks are set u as organized rows. To the right of the store wrapping to the back wall are all of the lave stock tanks which are also set up very nicely. A good selection and variety of fish. Lowest being about $ 15 average were about $ 40 and some hitting 100 – 150. The frag/​coral tanks were all stocked and clean and the average prices on the corals was $ 40 going up to $ 150ish for the bigger pieces. The is a huge variety in pieces. The other walls have a variety of foods/​salts for the tanks.
Overall on the look of the store/​pricing I would go 4 stars…
Here is the reasoning for the 2, the customer service was extremely lacking!!! When we walked in, there were two guy working, and no other customers… No one greeted us or asked if we needed help, even standing next to us, no conversation… There were two people that came in after us and they got helped immediately, and I think the reason was they had water bottles to be filled so both guy approached as they walked through the doors, talked to them, and even sold one guy a fish…
We were getting ready to leave, and one of the men asked if we were finding everything ok, I asked about Purple Lobster being reef safe, and he said no… went on to say if he tag has NRS on it then it is not. We noticed on other tanks written on the glass «not reef safe»…This tag had nothing about NRS on it. glad I asked… He then said «I would much rather see you get this type of shrimp» and listed a couple off. I told him we had those already and were looking for something different… Then he walked away. For me, he should have asked what size tank and what was in it… oh well… We did not get the same type of conversation or service as the other two customers, so That was a huge downside for me, considering that my son really liked looking at the tanks and some of the fish they had.
Just wondering if I need to bring an empty bottle in next time to get some service…
