Terry has done my taxes the last 2 years and I am SO thankful to have been introduced to him. He gave great personal advice on how to organize my finances as I pursue photography as a paid hobby. Also, when I needed copies of my tax returns and W2’s he mailed them to me within the hour! I recommend him to everyone i know. Since there isn’t signage out front, he let me know beforehand, and also gave detailed instructions on how to find the place, but Google maps was spot on and made finding the front door a piece of cake. I find it comforting that he won’t write off every little thing– he runs a legit business, and that is what I want from the person is preparing my tax return.

Terry has done taxes for both my brother and I since 2012. He is very knowledgeable and professional. When I had a child he knew exactly how to get the maximum return for federal and state deductions (including child care), and when I bought a house he helped me with every step along the way, i knew exactly what my mortgage interested deduction would be before I even purchased. And I agree with the other reviewer he is super quick to reply to questions and requests for documents. I can highly recommend !!

I been a client with Terry since 2004. Every year I think I’m going to owe money but somehow I get a refund. Reaching Terry by phone has never been an issue. He mentioned that he forwards his office phone to his cell phone when he is out of the office. I highly recommend tax solutions!

Not much positive to say other than Terry is polite. There was no outside signage, so the office was difficult to find the first time. My tax prep meeting was marred with 6 interruptions, client visits and phone calls – some lengthly! They all interrupted the flow of the meeting! It was difficult to get return calls from Terry, e.g. I called a few times a week after my meeting with him, because he hadn’t indicated that he even started on the tax return. His assistant said that we had been playing phone tag, but, in fact, he never called once. There were also mistakes on the return, some I didn’t want to go through the hassle of getting corrected by him. One huge one, though, was my refund was to be applied to the next year’s (2014) first quarter estimated tax payment, and was not. The IRS sent the 2013 refund to me, making my already-​paid first quarter 2014 payment that much too low. I felt that the cost of the tax preparation was high, about 30% higher than my previous preparer. I leave feeling that I should not have been taken on as a new customer if Terry was too busy to give uninterrupted, prompt, accurate service.

He is nice, very good at what he does also he takes time to answer your questions. He used to be an auditor for the IRS. That speaks volumes!!! One time I needed a copy of my taxes and I called him… he was on vacation and had all his files on his laptop. He sent them to me right away and I thought that was above and beyond the call of duty. Wouldn’t use anyone else.

I’ve been seeing Terry for about 8 years now and he is great. Terry is very professional, and knows how to help you save money when it comes to your taxes. I highly recommend Terry and I am thankful for having him as my tax guy.

INSULTING!
First, Terry was running behind with the client before me. Then I was turned away. My 45 minutes of time wasted, here is why:
In the 12 years I have been working in the ups and downs of the entertainment industry as an actor, this is the first time I’ve had someone call it a «hobby.» What was even more insulting was when I was turned away as a client because I wanted to write off my expenses (such as headshots and casting services, etc.) that I have always written off and have been told are legitimate by the Screen Actors Guild and my previous tax man with 40 years of experience. Terry informed me I would get audited, and he didn’t want to sign his name to that. Furthermore, he told me I would bring down his other clients and his business.
Now, I give him credit for having integrity, even if he was misinformed and overly dramatic (ha!). However, there is no need to tear down someone’s passion (and it must be a passion to still pursue it for 12 years, in spite of only minor successes), nor did I appreciate feeling like a pariah. Additionally, I was beyond agitated that my time had been completely wasted. Now, at the end of March, I have to locate a new tax guy. Great.
