I have not once had a bad experience with Walgreens but this particular store has been consistently messing up for 5 months. Every month they have processed my prescriptions incorrectly and the pharmacists there are not friendly at all. Sherry and even her supervisor Lee had no sense of customer service and didn’t even apologize for the misunderstanding after complaining with all of these incidents which is all I really needed… an apology. There is one employee there named Lovely and she lived up to her name. She was the only helpful and kind pharmacist there which is a shame to her older superiors. I am very disappointed in the way this branch is being run. Hope this gets resolved soon :(

When I arrive at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription I am told the pharmacist is the only one who can released prescription and she just went in her 15 minute break, I can either wait or come back. Great customer service, make your customer come back or sit around and wait. Perhaps you can have more than one person with access to release prescriptions. That would be good customer service.

We stopped by this well-​stocked location to buy free and clear laundry soap and some cold beverages. They got few items on sale and they were really cheap.
The cashier guy was so nice. They have a lot of beach necessities and I love the idea because of its proximity to the ocean.
No overpricing or anything. Awesome.

Awesome service. I did not have to wait long in drive thru and my prescription was filled in 30 minutes. As I grabbed a bite to eat, I received a text notification that the scrip was ready. The pharmacist also gave me advise on how to save money on my next refill as well. This all occurred after an awful experience with CVS in RHE. See my review on Unilocal.One star for CVS.

The worst pharmacy ever — don’t use it. They promise they will have your medication and they don’t receive, they don’t call you, they don’t follow up, when you show up to pick up the pharmacy manager tells you that the best she can do it to order again and it will take 4 days.
Is a medication for my daughter and she needs to take daily, she can’t wait.
Worst is that they told me a store had an open bottle and they could send me to that store.
When I asked «are you allow to sell open bottles» they went quiet. I have all that conversation on video… Unbelievable!!!
So now I had to find it in CVS, get an adult medication that is costing me almost double the price…
After 45 minutes arguing another customer shares with me that this is the worst pharmacist ever, she had been there for 1 hr with problems too.
The pharmacy manager is the worst ever, don’t trust them. She didn’t even suggest me to get the adult one and use half a dosage, there was no intention to help us. Very very bad. She would laugh as I spoke to her.
Don’t use this walgreens.

Stop trying to sell me candy at checkout! Haha. Seriously though, I want to be left alone when I’m shopping. If I have a question, I will ask. I don’t need to be repeatedly asked by employees if I’m finding everything okay. And I certainly don’t want to «up selled» anything; especially when shopping at Walgreens. Thank you

Plenty of parking and convenient. Need a Walgreens card to get the deals.

This is by far the worst Walgreens. 1) they don’t sell liquor.
2) cigarets are old and stale
3) the pharmacy is often closed in the middle of the day for no reason and closes early weekends. I wouldn’t come If they weren’t the only ones who sold my medicine.

Decent prices but their drive-​thru is slow slow slow!

This Walgreens is my favorite local store. The staff is friendly and I’m there frequently.

I like Walgreen. I was hoping they would open one in south cal before, now they have come, I don’t find them as dear as the ones in the Midwest.

I have been dealing with the horrible sketchy good and bad service at the Walgreen’s on PCH and Anza for a while. But they aren’t consistent and there are so many times that I’m made to wait for long periods of time. So today was the last straw. I had a prescription at another pharmacy near work that I wanted transferred there. The woman in the pharmacy didn’t know if they could do it — she put me on hold twice. Once I was on hold for so long, that it rang back. After the second time on hold, I decided that was enough. I called the other Walgreens on Sepulveda, the pharmacist said she could do it, but I would need to call the other pharmacy and the other Walgreens and have them call her? What? Are you kidding? No thanks. So I call this Walgreens, this pharmacist knows what to do, and she asks for the other pharmacy’s phone number. She said it will be taken care of today. AND she noticed that the prescription I had at the other Walgreens needed another authorization by my doctor and said she would take care of it. Done and done. A pharmacy that actually understands customer service! So glad I decided to switch!

Lots of discounts on things you actually need. I’ve been going here since it opened and they have a nice pharmacy. Very friendly staff. This place is very conveniently placed for where I live. No complaints yet!

This Pharmacy is a 3 years old now and has not yet been overrun by people. Generally, you can run in and get out in a couple minutes. There is a drive-​thru also, which I haven’t yet used, but looks empty most of the time.
Could we have reached the market saturation point of pharmacies?
It is clean and friendly.
One odd note: the clerks get a commission for selling the candy bars at the register! They always ask,“Would you like a Snickers/​Reeses/​Hersheys today, they are two for a buck?“
I like that they refill ink cartridges for a fair price, with coupon, of course!

I accept this mission and make a stop at Walgreens Drug Store #1 in Torrance: No Hello Kitty Beanie Baby in sight! The Manager at that store claims a lady scooped up a dozen Hello Kitty beanie babies this morning and they sold out. (Really? A dozen? What is one going to do with a dozen Hello Kitty beanie babies? Lol)
I call Walgreens Drug Store #2. The phone conversation goes as follows
Me: «Um, hi do you still have the Hello Kitty beanie baby in stock?» Lady @ Walgreens: «Huh? Hello Kitty… Hahahaha…we sold out of those really quickly this morning.»
Me thinking «oh geez maybe the same lady that took the dozen from Walgreens drug store #1 hit this place up too.»
I call Walgreens Drug Store #3. Same type of conversation with the same results. I’m beginning to think this will be a mission fail :(.
One last attempt… call Walgreen Drug Store #4 aka this Walgreens that I am doing the Unilocal Review. After being transferred 3 times to different personnel, one person finally knows what I’m talking about. She says they have 3 and asks how many I need. I tell her one (I don’t need a dozen like that other woman lol). She asks for my name and tells me they will hold it. I ask where they are located and no one can give me quite clear directions… which leads to adventure number 2 that night (finding this place hahaha). I almost went in circles… hey PCH is one long street. The Walgreens guy told me it was a little past South Torrance high school (um note to people reading this… that is not true ;)
Half an hour later and it’s already dark I arrive at this Walgreens Drug Store. I see a large kitty plush… oops not that one! (It’s an imitation Hello Kitty lol. I did not go all this way to get a wanna be plush). I search and finally see the Hello Kitty beanie baby on the shelves. I walk up and go to the counter where they actually did hold one for me. Woohoo… mission accomplished. I breath a happy sigh of relief holding the almost elusive hello kitty beanie baby!

As far as drug store chains go, Walgreen is not my favorite… their prices are almost always higher than elsewhere and their checkout lines are slow as molasses. These are the two reasons you go to a drug store for the most part right?
The only reason they got 2 stars is because I like the quality of their photo center. I once used target’s online service & their photo paper was crap. Walgreen’s photos come out quite well… good paper & color quality.
