I’ve found that between this store and the new one at Del Amo, this store has more selection to accommodate me(I’m a size 0 in torrid clothes, which is kind of hard to find, they mostly cater to larger plus size women, whereas I am borderline). This store may have more selection, but the level of customer service is superior at Del Amo. At this store, I felt at times the sales associate was being condescending whenever I had questions as well as during checkout when there was some confusion over the pricing of some items on my end. If you’re a size 3 or smaller in Torrid clothes and have a hard time finding items, check out this store, otherwise I say avoid it and make a trip to Del Amo in Torrance.

The guy who works there i think his name is Leo was a total jerk and very rude. I will prob never go back in that store. He accused me of throwing my credit card at him and getting huffy.

My absolute favorite store for us voluptuous and curvy women with a little extra lovin on the side. Everything is pretty pricey, I’d attribute that to having to use more fabric?! Heck I don’t know but plus size clothing is always more expensive. Cute trendy store with a variety of styles to choose from. The girls and guys working there are über sweet and helpful! store is always kept clean and organized and they are always having BOGO weeks and constantly mail out coupons and offer Haute cash with the purchase of $ 50 or more. Score!

The sales girls here are generally SO sweet.(I say generally because there are 1 or 2 that can be attitudey!) One of the managers, Melissa, she is a DOLL! She is on point with her work and knows what she is doing. You can tell she has a lot of experience, she has worked there for a long time, and it shows in her customer service and issue handling. This location is 100x friendlier and more catering than the Irvine spectrum location. The Irvine spectrum torrid acts as if you’re scum and it’s a privilege to shop there, and they definitely show it with their cocky demeanors. Everytime I go in there I just want to slap them with my mercedes benz keys and throw my louis vuitton bag in their face and remind them that they are SERVINGME so they can stick their attitudes up their azz’s. But the south bay galleria doesn’t put off that stuck-up vibe and it’s a pleasure to shop, exchange, or just browse. love them!

I’ve been here quite a few times and the experience varies based on who is working when you go. When I went in December, I had a really bad experience. I wanted some skinny jeans, but not the jegging ones. The employee who helped me tried to give me bootcut. When I told her I didn’t want bootcut, she insisted these were«different.» No. I humored her and tried them on. They looked like bell bottoms. I had to put them back and find the pants I originally asked for myself. Even after the great sale they were having, my two pairs of jeans were $ 95! I went last week after having an online purchase shipped to the store. The two girls behind the counter were really friendly, although they were pretty chatty with each other. Checkout was a breeze, and it was definitely worth saving the $ 6 they charge for standard shipping. It’s also worth noting that my order arrived in two days, versus the week-plus they take to ship it to my house, literally one mile from this store! Overall, I kind of hate Torrid. They charge $ 30 for a plan v-neck t-shirt! What even? But they’re the only ones with edgy, on-trend clothing that fits me, so I’m stuck shopping there.

I am a guy, so I have no business being here unless it’s with a friend that happens to be a girl and she wants to try some stuff on. I was actually pleased with the customer service, very nice woman at the front greeted the two of us, initiated a nice convo and then offered to help us find something. Again, although the kind of clothing here is not for me(since its for the opposite sex) I still feel like I can rate the store based on the customer service and the cleanliness of the store. Very clean inside the store, no trash, no clothes lying around.

I love the clothes at Torrid! They have very sexy and stylish tops, bottoms, dresses, lingerie, and shoes. They have a large variety of accessories ranging from belts, hats, purses, and jewlery. Usually their accessories are BOGO but the best deal is their HAUTE cash. The quality of the clothes is great because unlike other plus size stores(ie. MODE Plus) their clothes is built to last for more than a couple uses. The only thing that stops me from giving a 5 star are their prices =/Too expensive. The Galleria location is not that big. medium size store but the employees are really helpful and friendly. The store is neat and well stocked. I’ve spent hours looking and trying on clothes and I’ve never felt rushed or ignored. Tip: Diva style members get 5% off all their purchases. Apply for a Torrid CC and get an automatic 15% off entire purchase.

I’m not thrilled with my body but decided I may as well love it while I’m losing weight and recovering from being sick. That being said I decided to go to Torrid for work clothes and clothes for my birthday. The prices are IMHO expensive compared to Old Navy and even Lane Bryant at times, but where can you find a plus size Hello Kitty shirt that actually fits your body? You will have to leave your ego at the door though: while I normally wear(squeeze into) a size 18 or XXL, at Torrid I was trying on size 26 items, 4X items, etc. that at other stores I would have been floating in like a balloon. Prices were good on this trip because the whole store was 25% off and I had a birthday coupon for $ 10 off, for around $ 212.00 I got the following: 1) A kick ass floral dress that was totally proportional — orig $ 68 2) A distressed T-shirt/blouse for work — orig $ 28 3) A microfiber black trench jacket(not coat) — orig $ 40 4) A leather-ish belt that went around me with lots to spare — orig $ 24 5) A pair of earrings — not sure of price $ 8? 6) A bundle of stretchy bangles — orig price $ 12 7) A gray work blazer — orig $ 40 8) A lightweight purple cardigan/jacket sweater thing — orig price $ 28 9) A faux 2-piece cardigan over a shirt with an argyle skull pattern for Halloween and work — orig $ 28 I think there was another discount as well, but I’m not sure how it was applied as the receipt is hard to understand. Now again, skinny chicks can definitely find the same for cheaper ANYWHERE, but when you’re 5′ 2″ it’s hard to not look old in stuff from Macy’s and the Forever 21 plus size stuff isn’t appropriate for work most of the time. There was only 1 person on staff when I went in at 10am on a Saturday, so she wasn’t the most friendly, but she had to answer phones, count the register, watch the dressing rooms and help everyone, so I can cut her some slack, but I didn’t like her repeatedly asking if I wanted a credit card — hello, think about this economy, don’t try and make me feel bad for not wanting to screw up my credit. She did say a smart ass thing when she suggested i try on a retro fitting dress and I said I didn’t like that the bra straps would show and she told me maybe I needed a new bra. No matter what kind of a bra you put on me, if the armholes are at my waist, you’re seeing straps cause my boobs can’t handle strapless. So there! All in all, Torrid is good for younger-style plus sizes and cute tops like open shoulder, drapey, and Hello Kitty or logo items that look like girl clothes and not guy clothes with a girly pattern on them. They also have some other retro-style clothes that I think would be cute if I wanted to splurge(since you have to accessorize properly). The clearance section takes up almost ¼ of the store in the back and is worth wading through. Save bra shopping for somewhere like Macy’s or Nordstrom’s whey they will measure you, and save shoe shopping for a shoe store and don’t get caught up in buying stuff all at Torrid ’cause it matches, their stuff is overpriced definitely in those areas. The clothes quality is what you make of it, I bought a shirt with skulls on it — don’t really expect to be wearing it much so I don’t care if it lasts till next year or not. That being said, Torrid is not the place to go to get a silk interview suit, just like Old Navy isn’t. The website has much more stuff than the store does and a lot more Hello Kitty, Nightmare Before Christmas and trendy items, so don’t expect the store to resemble the website that much. Torrid also has an outlet in the City of Industry, but the prices aren’t that much cheaper since when I last checked since the«regular» items were also 25% off on this day. NOTE — clearance stuff and items like costumes MAY be non-returnable — ask before you buy as someone had mentioned while trying to return something that the policy was not mentioned to her. I think that’s lame for regular clearance things like jeans and t-shirts but understandable for holiday items — make sure you ask!

torrid items built to last? Yeah, maybe if you compare it to the 99cent store. I’m a Nordstroms/Macy’s type of gal so that’s the quality I’m used to. Torrid clothing, jewelry, shoes fall apart after about 4 wears. lol On upside, they’ll return/exchange it for you if you take it in and tell them you expect more than 2 wears when you pay $ 90 for a piece of long fabric that’s cut long enough to wrap around a size 18 that has no shape or style and is labeled a dress. There’s one lady there… tall, long hair, black… shes such a B1tch! She acts like everyone is a nuisance! If you don’t spend a lot she will barely acknowledge you. i SOOOO want to tellI her to stop being a snobby freak and that my tory burch shoes probably cost more than her entire wardrobe. But I keep my cool: D lol …I’ll stick to Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus. :)

This is my new favorite Torrid store. I just moved out to this area and I know I’ve been there a bunch of times. I might have even hit it up more then 3 times in the span of a month. The sales ladies are super friendly and helpful. They really want to help you find what your looking for. And if you don’t know what your looking for and just have a gift card to spend then they can help you find something your sure to like. They give great tips and ideas. It’s a clean store, and never too busy. They have a wide collection of different brands and styles. So your bound to find what your looking for. I love their dresses but they can get a bit price, so its nice when they have there super big sales. If you sine up for your diva styles card(frequents buyer card) once you spent a cretin amount you get 5% off your purchase for the next year. I think the new thing is the more you spend the more you save type of deal. Oh yeah and they just started their own credit card… So you know I’m in trouble.

I love you torrid with your trendy sexy clothes for women with curves. But its a bit on the expensive side if you ask me… That being said tho, the clothes are built to last and really are manufactured very well. I just wish they had a torrid Credit card.
