Most typical American restaurant. All you can eat buffet that serves a few salads in the beginning and then once you enter the inside past the register: all the types of american food there possibly is in one place(although I noticed they also serve phở which is Vietnamese but oh well). Pizza, soups, mac n cheese, soft cones, jello, cookies, bread, you name it. Some of the foods quality was slightly below average but it’s a great place if you’re STARVING and want a large variety of american food!

too high of a price for basically just salads, breads and soups… Yes, they have slightly other stuff too but Sweet Tomatoes is much better… Not sure if I’m allowed to mention their competitor but it’s the truth I will say that it was very clean and they were friendly and it’s a great deal if you have kids…

It’s no wonder it closed – the place was overrun with mommies taking advantage of the kids eat free and letting their little monsters make a mess and leaving it for the poor staff to clean up, effectively pushing out paying customers.

HORRIBLE… This place is a complete joke we first walked in the salads were full of water and most of the fixings were brown and old like my husband said it had been sitting out since 7 am … My son wanted pizza but do course that was out and my husband wanted soup as he walked up to the one he wanted the stupid guy behind the counter was pouring in a bag of raw harmony beans … YUCK!!! At this point no plates anywhere the Mac and cheese my daughter wanted was disgusting … I told my husband and my children for our health safety I feel it’s in our best interest to leave !!! With a nice spread of mixed and un mixed salads the Redwood City Fresh Choice offers a great meal for an affordable price. Recently they added a to go option that you can literally pack to the brim with wonderful local ingredients. I would recommend to any salad lovers who want something affordable.

I’m trying to figure out why I ever went to Fresh Choice in the past. It must have been due to kid friendliness, since it’s a pretty easy place to take the 2 – 6 yr old set. But now that the kids are a little older, that aura has faded. Now it’s merely a place to fill up on salad and subpar carbs. Here’s the breakdown: – Salad — OK; lots of variety, but quality is so-so; Any protein additions are packaged seperately and extra $$ – Pizza — Awful – Other baked goods — Fine; skewed towards the sweet stuff – Baked potatoes — Not my thing – Pasta offerings — Meager – Soups — Pretty good; The only saving grace – Soft serve — OK Earl G. would definitely NOT call this«man food.» Clientele is skewed towards the young and old end of the spectrum. On our recent visit, we were surrounded on one side by two families with some extremely screechy, out-of-control kids; On the other side were some oldsters, one of whom had some mental issues, poor fellow. After a long, stressful day at work, with an unexciting dinner in front of me, I found the whole scene depressing and quite unrelaxing. It’s too bad I couldn’t wash away the mediocre-ness with a decent beer, but all they have is Bud and Corona, and no limes. I stuck to water. They do have one thing going for them — It’s a relatively quick and easy dinner with no dishes to wash. But I’ve officially paid my last visit here. Next time the wife can take them.

Wow. This place has really gone down-hill. We used to come here a lot because our kids loved the all you can Mac and Cheese and ice cream bar. Here is what we experienced today: No soda – they ran out of gas. Only veggie pizza was out, and that looked like it had been sitting out too long. Baked potato tray empty, and missing condiments for the baked potatoes. Empty Mac and cheese. ? Pozole was missing the hominy/corn and salty. Soft serve machine only had chocolate working. Un-bussed tables everywhere. What happened

I’ve been coming here for years, and because I love salad bars so much I’ve ignored the 4day old appearance of the veggies in the bar. But after tonight I’ll never be back. All of the lettuce bins, 4 of them, were brown and rotten. I asked a staff member if there was more and he said no, mentioned that one of them is red-leaf. Seriously? The brown rotten bits were not on the red parts of the leafs. I asked to speak to a manager, but she was apparently in the bathroom for like 10 minutes so we left. Disgusting. This place should be called Rotten Choice because it’s definitely not fresh.

I remember years ago, when I first had Fresh Choice I really didn’t appreciate the salad selections. I wasn’t a big fan of salads either. Basically, I wasn’t a big fan so I never returned there again. A few months ago, the Boyfriend took me to Fresh Choice. I had completely forgotten what Fresh Choice was all about. It took me after the 2nd visit(actually the 3rd) for me to realize what that place was all about: to fill yourself up with salad type selections and by the time you get to the more carbs and calorie entrees you are too full to eat a lot of that. Idealistically, this shouldn’t work. But they are creative when it came to what type of salad selections there. They had wheat twirly noodles, pre-made salads, olives, different type of greens, etc. The next thing you know, your entire plate is filled with only salad selections. I really like this Fresh Choice in particular because #1. it’s not crowded. I’ve been here lunch time and dinner time and both times were decent amount of people(If you’re like me, and tend to dislike crowded places then you’ll like it at this location). #2. When you get full here, you don’t feel as guilty because you know you’re mostly full off of the salad and not of the pasta or sodium you consumed. #3. It’s clean and tidy. So yes, I do recommend this spot. =]

Since the last time I was here over four months ago I have noticed an improvement. This is the only local sit down place I know of that has such a wide selection of nutritious salad selections.

It is the worst Fresh Choice I have experienced. The veggies didn’t seem to be as fresh and the counter didn’t seem to be as clean. Coming here only makes me wish harder that there was a Sweet Tomatoes around here. This place could go out of business very soon if Sweet Tomatoes ever opens one in the Peninsula area. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the table cleaning staff was hard working and friendly.

I’ve eaten at Fresh Choice restaurants before and had a decent experience, so when I received a 25% off coupon I thought I’d give my local spot a try. The food was decent but they should serve earplugs and ibuprofen with their meals. The restaurant was filled with screaming(literally) and jumping(literally) children.

For $ 9, you can eat all you want for lunch!!! My rating is solely based on your«bang for your buck» rather than quality. The food itself would be a solid 3 star. There are lots of variety, from salad to soup to pasta to pizza to mediocre desserts. This reminds me of college dining commons. Highlights: Oriental Chicken salad and Hummus! Tip: Make your order togo with their togo boxes and you will have dinner that day too! Not bad for $ 9, and you get two meals if you get it togo! Apparently, there’s a «happy hour» deal between 3:30 and 5pm – where your meal is only $ 6.99! Be wary: fresh choice is not healthy if you pick all the greasy/sweet food! =D

Good, fresh, reliable, food; and if you can get here between 3:30&5 pm you can get it for $ 6.99 right now, which is a really good deal. Lots of salad choices but not high in proteins unless you pay extra; High protein sources included in the base price are chopped egg, cottage cheese, extra-firm tofu, and some ground meat in the turkey chili or marinara(surprisingly good). This is our standard place to eat quickly when we want to eat more healthfully than fast food.

Look — Fresh Choice is not a gourmet dining experience. It’s not a date place. It’s not a place to rave about to your friends, or a place to be seen. But — if you are a parent with a noisy, who-knows-what-he’s-going-to-eat child, FC is a freakin’ godsend. See — there is a tremendous of veggies and little dishes to put on a plate to see what your child is in the mood for. And — since our child is 2 yrs old, he’s FREE! Big variety, with a fair number of healthy items free for our toddler is a *really* good thing. For the adults — well, maybe not superb, but I actually like a fresh salad, and there are still a number of really decent options. Yeah — the nacho cheese is runny. The soups are a little salty. But, overall, FC does a really good job with variety and the majority of items. At this location, the staff hustles, and keeps the bar clean, considering that people(customers) are pretty much slobs. C’mon people! Dessert ain’t bad. All in all — if you have kids, I would really look at the value of this place.

Blah, blah, blah. I am really off of my salad kick so when I was invited to lunch today and then told we were coming here I was sad inside. There is plenty to choose from but the only thing that was good was the red onion on my salad and my dessert. I got some Mac & Cheese and that was blah. I got some Chicken Noodle Soup and that was blah. I got a Premade Salad that I thought looked good really wasn’t and was a total let down. There was a chicken breast on the side, I think to put on your salad, and as I ate it I couldn’t tell if it was really chicken or not. The consistency was not chicken breast. I’m almost wondering if it was tofu? They did have pizza and I didn’t have that because I just don’t really like pizza that much to have it at a buffet. Again, I have some reservations about eating where there are things called«Sneeze Guards».

How can you not like Fresh Choice? What’s not to like? Salads, soups, pastas and soft serve? Damn, my mouth waters just thinking about it! You’re not at a fancy restaurant here. Duh. This is a salad bar. It’s a salad bar with an attentive staff in a clean environment. I love it.

I had a mandatory meeting and appointment with another agency for midday. And the boss from that agency wanted to have a lunch gathering as well, and chose Fresh Choice. I don’t know why, so don’t ask. Like every Fresh Choice that I visited, they have huge dining area. But I was never a big fan of the food selection, despite being an all-you-can-eat buffet-venue. The fresh ingredients will always taste the same no matter where you dine. When I got in line and gather my trays and utensils for my salad, there were no prepared salads there. So I make my own salad from odds and ends. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Fresh Choice, and the restaurant recently added a Vietnamese noodle soup in the soup bar. I had the soup and was a tad too salty after the first couple of sip. I got some tortilla chips and nacho cheese, but the cheese sauce was very thin and watered-down. The lone tasty item was the garlic-cheese bread and it was buttery and crunchy, despite there were very little garlic shown visibly. I paid $ 8.00 for my disappointing meal with my credit card. I skipped the dessert, because there are plenty of dessert places in the Sequoia Station that I wanted to try. No more Fresh Choice for Matt
