The best donuts ever! It’s all about the way you like them so these may not be for you, but I love moist, flavorful, and WARM donuts. It helps that they’re small too, so you can try more flavors! I’m not a chocolate person, so if you take all those flavors out of the mix, their strawberry shortcake is my happy place. A sweet old friend of mine once drove me all the way to the Frederick location just for some of these — I think it was my birthday? I hope it was…

My girlfriend and I went here to get some donuts after being recommended by a friend. The hot, made as you order donuts here are absolutely delicious and are probably the best donuts I’ve ever had. They were so good that I had to go back later during my vacation to get a second half dozen. We loved the great variety of donut flavors as well. The only reason they don’t receive a fifth star is because their breakfast sandwiches are really bad. In addition to donuts on our first visit my girlfriend and I got bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches which consisted of precooked circular bacon patties that tasted microwaved and precooked egg patties like you’d get out of a fast food restaurant breakfast. I would recommend only ordering donuts if you visit here since that is what they’re good at.

Every two weeks I’m in town visiting my girlfriend. And like clockwork, this is always our first breakfast stop when I get into town. You can’t beat freshly made donuts, even moreso when you can get them in as many flavors as you want!

BESTDONUTS! Making a stop at Fractured Prune is a beach week must for anyone staying in Rehoboth or Lewes. The donuts are made fresh to order and you can either pick from one of there specialty flavors or create your own combination. Personally, I’m a big fan of the O.C. Sand and Pebble Beach flavors. I’ve also made one with peanut butter and bacon which was pretty amazing. Any way you slice it, you can’t go wrong with Fractured Prune donuts.

This place is beach staple. Whenever I head to the beach I always stop here and get some donuts. The OC Sand is my favorite! The doughnuts are freshly made to order, and there are a million toppings you can choose from. Be sure to get there when they first open. Especially in the summer as the wait can be long. But its sooo worth it!!!

Fresh made donuts are awesome. Fun place! All donuts are hand-dipped and custom made just for you! I’m not a big donut eater, more of an eggs or oatmeal person, but I make the exception for FP’s awesome donuts. One of a kind place. A must go!

Many of our friends told us our trip to Ocean City would not be complete without experiencing a Fractured Prune donut. And were they ever right! The owners Jody and Diane are two of the nicest, most engaging people you’d ever want to meet. The donuts were out of this world! We could see why people travel from all over Maryland, DC, Virginia and even Pennsylvania for Fractured Prune donuts! I got the Bacon Bomb(maple glaze topped with crumbled bacon and cinnamon sugar). My husband couldn’t decide what he wanted so he got the Peppermint Patty, Lemonade and a variation of the Bacon Bomb. We savored every bite! We absoutely fell in love with the place… and the donuts! This is a definite must-do on any trip to the Rehoboth Beach-Ocean City region!

Awesome doughnuts. Inventive flavors you would never have dreamed about. We cut all our doughnuts into quarters so that people could taste a lot of them without eating a whole doughnut. If you’re going to get doughnuts in Rehoboth, make a special trip here. It is worth the effort to track this place down. Best doughnuts I have ever had.

Overall, 3 stars, but some of the donuts were definitely 4 stars of more. We came in with four people, ordered a dozen, and ate them all. :-) My nits were that some donut glazes were a tad too sweet(perhaps cloyingly so if consumed in the entirety), and once the donut cools down, it becomes more average. That said, they’re going to be piping hot if you eat them in the store. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and want a solid, fresh donut. I’m not sure I’d travel far to get it, though.

They are the best donuts! Fresh from the fryer! The flavors are the topping but the donuts itself are awesome! I saved some for later, DON’T! It’s better fresh from the fyer!

Gotta love a freshly made cake donut with toppings of your choice. The cake donut is fried well and it has a slight crunch to the outside with a nice soft inside. I tried the OC sand which is the cinnamon and sugar. How could that not be tasty on a hot donut? There was also a new snickers flavor with caramel topping, chocolate chips, and peanuts. LOVE. This was my first visit and it won’t be the last.

The most amazing donuts EVER!!! They cook them fresh to order and dip them in homemade glazes and toppings. Highly recommend eating them right after ordering as they are best when piping hot! I like salted Carmel, peppermint patty, pumpkin and pebble beach. A fun atmosphere makes this place a memorable beach stop!

Best donuts I’ve ever had. Morning Buzz(donut with mocha glaze and oreo topping) was delicious. Kids loved their creations– chocolate glaze with rainbow sprinkles. Decent sized seating area so you can stay and enjoy your donuts hot. There is a small fee if you use your credit card for less than $ 10. Small price to pay to support a local small business. So bring cash or buy more donuts.

My first visit to a Fractured Prune. I’m a huge doughnut fiend, so I was excited to share a half-dozen with a friend to try a variety of their elaborate flavors. The way it works is they make fresh(hot) donuts, which are then topped or dipped according to the order(eg, the base donut is the same in each flavor). That base donut itself is delicious, made to order, and much better than something like Krispy Kreme(comparing fresh-made). Not quite as dense as a cake donut, but heavier than a traditional yeast-raised. The toppings are kind of over-the-top(pun intended), sometimes overwhelming the donut. Some are also very messy, keep the napkins handy. The flavors skew to the over-sweet(some of them tasting like icing). Staff were quite friendly. There’s seating inside as well as some picnic tables outside by the road. There was a coffee area off to the side(pre-made) which looked unattended and lonely. I’d love to see more emphasis on coffee(fresher, in the same area as the donuts, espresso, or something). I’d be happy eating just a couple of the bare donuts(which is one of the flavor options), but more than that is too much same-sweet for my palate. But the available variety makes this place a crowd-pleaser.

Our friends drove to Fractured Prune all the way from Pittsburgh, PA just for the donuts, then turned around and drove home. Yes, they really are that good! With custom flavors like reese cup, banana pudding, key lime pie, and peppermint patty, these unique gourmet donuts are all made from scratch with high end, custom ingredients and then fresh dipped to order, and served still steaming hot.(They’re good any time, but you will never have better donuts than these hot and fresh from the cooker) Despite being extremely busy(with good reason), they have some of the most polite and hardest working staff you’ll find anywhere. You can see how much pride they take in their quality and service. They also have tons of drinks, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and is the perfect stop if you want to start the day off right, or be the hero of your office that morning. Fractured prune offers the best donuts I’ve ever had, and elevates them from a common commodity to a divine donutsplosion of deliciousness.

Went here for the first time on the way to the beach for Memorial Day Weekend. As you open the door the smell of fresh donuts assaults your senses and a huge poster with donut options overwhelms you at the same time. After discussing with my beach mates for 5 minutes we finally pared it down to a half dozen. The donuts were glazed and topped to order and are so delicious. I recommend the morning buzz — mocha glaze & cookie crumbs, it has a hint of coffee to it, and also the french toast — maple glaze & cinnamon sugar. Be warned — you’ll need to have a sweet tooth to enjoy these, if the bright colors and infinite sprinkles didn’t give it away. Give them a try! I’m already planning what to get when I go to the beach next weekend!

Besides crabcakes, this is a definitely must have at Rehoboth beach! Their hours are not the greatest so plan ahead. We came from New York City and came straight here to make it in at 2:50pm right before the 3pm closing. But boy it’s worth it. Our donuts were a fresh batch and absolutely delicious. Nice and crisp on the inside and soft and sweet on the inside. The flavors are plentiful and nothing is overtly sugary. They really have done a great job in creating highly addictive, novel donuts. FYI, even the next day, the donuts are still soft so don’t be shy in ordering the dozen donuts!

Never heard about the Fractured Prune until visiting Rehoboth Beach! I thought it was a cute mom and pop shop and didn’t realize it was a chain until I saw the other locations. Definitely a place to check out for donuts! Basically, you create or purchase unique donuts that are made once you order. The combos were delicious, the«create your own» always keeps things new, and the service was superb. I loved how they called the customer’s number based on a deck of cards. The inside was also very funky with different knick knacks hanging from the ceiling and the coffee bar was varied.

You’ll know Fractured Prune when you see it, as the big purple building is hard to miss even in a fairly colorful shore town. Though the outside seems outrageous, inside is even more fantastical, with bright paint, toys hanging from the ceiling, and of course, fresh, hot, customizable donuts. Newbies might be tempted to start with the pre-fab choices, delightful concoctions dreamed up by the staff, such as Reese’s cup, Peppermint patty, creamsicle, and chocolate covered cherry. You can’t go wrong with these tried and true combinations, but I dare you to take a look at the long list of glazes and toppings and dream up at least one of your own. There are so many options here that it’s worth grabbing a dozen($ 13) as long as you’ve got a few friends to share with — cut them up and sample each, so you can try all the crazy combinations. Paramount to the success of Fractured Prune, not only is every order prepared to order, but every donut is served HOT, meaning melty glaze and pleasure overload for your tastebuds. This means sometimes waiting in line, but it is totally worth it. You’ll leave wondering why anyone even bothers eating room temperature donuts.
