I used to rate The Point as a 4 star, however, it has become very overpriced over the years. In addition, they took away the donuts, including the boston cream which just so happened to be the best donut on the planet. I’m assuming it was because they couldn’t charge as much for them. The pecan sticky buns have gotten smaller as well. I do like the coffee selection though.

Great food, but left there without knowing how much each item cost. Sticky bun was fantastic, and I enjoyed my cold brewed iced hazelnut coffee. Croissant sandwiches are expensive at almost $ 8.

Reheated croissant breakfast sandwiches for 8 dollars… never again. I at least expected something fresh and not soggy for that price.

I thiught the walnut and cinnamon buns were my favorite until they asked me to try a jelly filled croissant. wow! I tend to like biscotti on hand with coffee and typically make my own. Running out of time for company, I stopped and got 5 lbs for company. In just one morning, the jelly/raspberry biscotti disappeared. Chai tea and coffee machiato here is realky nice. The new chai extra is great for cinnamon lovers.

Worst service/system I have ever seen in a restaurant combined with over priced food! We went to this little breakfast joint on the way home from Dewey Beach. It always looked busy and the signs were enticing. When we got there the line was to the door. We waited for about 10 min to order. Slow but expected with the line. Then the real problem set in. I ordered sausage and gravy, my wife waffles and we both got coffee type drinks. Each item was put on a separate ticket and handled by different stations with no attempt to have them come out at the same time. Wait time/review for food: Drinks = 2 minutes = good time = Decent flavor on iced chai tea latte. Coffee was very good. Waffle = 5 minutes = good = Generic waffle with sliced strawberries on top. Sausage and gravy = 20+ minutes = unacceptable since I saw them scoop it out of a bucket and throw it in the microwave! Good but could tell it was reheated. Biscuits were slightly burnt. There is no reason food cannot come out close to the same time. Just awful management and structure. Overall the food was ok but nothing special. I would not go back to this restaurant. The only saving grace was they roast their own coffee which was very good. There are many other options in Rehoboth and Dewey beach. I recommend any of them over this place.

This is a nice quaint breakfast spot but be aware… its expensive, $ 43 for breakfast!!. My wife and I and our two kids(2 and 3) went there on our last day of vacation to stay out of the corporate breakfast traps. We always try to eat in local spots to help out the local economy, plus the food is always way better. Well we were right. The food was really good but the service could be a little friendlier, but definitely didn’t ruin our experience. The kids split a Belgian waffle my wife got the stuffed pastry and I got the eagle with salmon. All were excellent! One thing you must try is the giant piece of blueberry coffee cake. Its amazing! I would definitely go back if we return to Rehoboth Beach!

I was employed here back in March when I first moved here and was asked to make upscale pastries. Come to find out six months later I am being terminated because I am over qualified for my position and not working overtime. Everything made here comes from boxes from the freezer and always buckets! Nothing is made homemade here.

Fresh pastries but don’t get their chocolate croissant. Way too much chocolate … it’s like eating a candy bar. And I’m a chocolate lover. But this was just too much chocolate. Cheese Danish was nice. Bagels seemed like the same ones at Safeway. The Eastern-European employees don’t seem to understand the concept of «fast service» but I guess you can’t really expect much these summer workers.

Well. I didn’t even get anything. Customer service was so awful Lady at counter was super rude. Gave me a snawl face. Not professional. I just left because I don’t want rude people to serve me. Great business. Not

We arrived there today at 445p. Within seconds I could tell they were close to closing. If you want to close your shop at 445p, please do so. Otherwise, don’t greet us like an ass. The coffee drinks were okay. Not great. The woman that took our order should find a job with no customer interaction. Within minutes of our vacation rental, we will find a different spot.

We always come here for breakfast when we’re in the area. Service used to be a bit friendlier in the past years, but no real complaints! You definitely feel at home when you come here. The pastries are made with care and are very tasty. And for a little café there’s an extensive menu. I always try something new and I’m always pleased. Their quiches, sandwiches, savory/sweet croissants, cheese Danishes, eclairs, are all delicious. I recommend the turkey club and ham and cheese croissant(SOGOOD). Parking is super easy and(I hate to spill this secret) but on a nice day, the tables upstairs are wonderful.

You know when you’ve finished your iced coffee, the ice melts and you drink coffee flavored water because you are still thirsty? I received a whole cup of that mixed with ice this morning at The Point. It was so bad that I couldn’t drink it –the first cup of coffee I’ve EVER sent back in my life. I think they might have brewed it with used grounds. But it doesn’t end there. My fiancé and I ordered bagels toasted with cream cheese. 15 minutes later we got cold bagels cut in half with 0.5 ounces of cream cheese in a cup. We had tried ordering other items but the less than friendly staff snapped at us they they ran out. I then considered oatmeal… but at $ 8.75 I figured I would just buy 2 boxes of it at the grocery store. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds. We recommend a frozen Thomas’s bagel and some coffee from your Keurig. We will never be back.

Bought a focaccia for a cookout and my friends gobbled it up. The coffee is freshly roasted on the spot. Loved the egg and spinach croissant. Huge! Helpful staff.

We had a nice breakfast at The Point. Tea and coffee were good. Loved the quiche Lorraine and the sausage, egg and cheese croissant was yummy.

First time at the Point and it was excellent! The case of pastries looked delicious and the sausage egg & cheese croissant was the best I have ever had! The sandwich came with a fruit salad, which was also delicious. The coffee was great and the service couldn’t of been any better. Can’t wait to go back!

They have an impression bakery selection and the in house roaster makes some fresh brew, but this place is overrated especially for the loaded croissant @ $ 8. Literal highway robbery. The coffee saved this review however the rest is lacking and overpriced. The desserts could be good but the cinnamon bun was nothing special beyond the standards besides from being enormous.

My husband and I stayed in downtown Lewes for the weekend recently. We were driving around the area to get more familiar and then my husband mentioned that he wanted to grab some coffee. I thought«GREAT!»…because I had already scoped out the Rehoboth/Lewes area for coffee/sweets and knew that we had to come to The Point. We pulled in and found parking. Once we stepped out of the car, we saw something like«Famous Sticky Buns!» with an arrow painted on the side of a building facing DE-1. Yes… that’s what I came for! We walked in, cute little bakery. Ordered the walnuts and pecans sticky bun, a coffee, and a frozen coffee drink. I was able to take my coffee cup and choose from what must have been 8 or so different types of coffees that were brewed on the side of the counter. We sat down and dug in to our sticky bun… heavenly. The only thing I wish I could have done differently is stuck that bun into the microwave(or received STRAIGHT out from the oven) for 15 seconds or so to have a nice warm sticky bun. But it was still very tasty! Will definitely bring out of towners to this spot for delicious baked goods!

Great atmosphere, great food, and espresso with beautiful crema! My husband and I went here on a birthday trip to Rehoboth Beach during the off-season, but the place was so packed, you wouldn’t know it was 20° outside! I had a Café Au Lait with a Sussex Salad and my hubby had a double espresso with a ham and cheese sandwich.(This was obviously around lunch time). Salad was great, coffees were great, and we were very pleased with the service and atmosphere! Definitely recommend… …Oh, and we’re going back to have breakfast there this morning!

I stopped by here a couple of Saturday’s ago for my Saturday morning coffee while on the way out of Rehobeth Beach. Man what a cute little coffee shop they have here. The inside has a cozy feel and they have a couple of display cases as well as an area where you can get your own coffee beans to go. After initially being a bit confused because of how the lady in front of me was lined up I finally made it to the barista who ended up being super nice. I went with my good old stand by of a large Americano with a splash of milk. Honestly this was the best coffee that I have had in a long time. It was strong and robust while also having a great flavor that I really enjoyed. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. As a matter of a fact if I am in the Rehobeth Beach area again I will actively seek it out and make it a point to stop here!

This place was really cute. There was a fun mix of regulars and beach-goers. The ladies running the place were friendly ad fast-paced. I camped out at a table by the windows to do some work. There were plenty of outlets for my computer as well. I sat next to a really cool coffee roaster, a giant contraption that would have been cool to see when it was doing work. I ordered a cappuccino and later a quiche. The cappuccino was spot on! The quiche lorraine was good but had this weird layer on top that was simply impenetrable by my plastic cutlery. The pastries in the case looked incredible, I was just in a rare mood where I wasn’t looking for sweets. The Point is a bit pricey; I think my slice of quiche with fresh fruit was $ 8. But you pay at the beach I guess!
