Funland

What a terrific place! We brought our two kids here when they were little ones and now we bring our grandkids. Same great rides. They progress from the boats, carousel for the very young ones to the helicopters and then the bigger kid rides that made dad sick and probably would send grandpa to the ER. A fabulous family place, nice young kids running the rides, feels very safe and is very inexpensive!

After seeing some dreadful beach amusement parks, namely Trimpers in Ocean City, and Jolly Roger, this place was a delight! The Haunted Mansion is a true gem — built in 1978 on a one-​of-​a-​kind suspended-​car-​transport-​system with extensive detailed scenes designed by dark-​ride legend Jim Melonic, it might be the best haunted ride in the country outside of a major theme park. And get this, the ride will only set you back $ 1.75! The line can grow up to a half-​hour long but it’s worth the wait; it’s actually worth the wait to or three times. Gravitron also packs a surprising punch. Another highlight is the 1959 Herschell carousel.

This place was great as a kid and still has cool rides and games for people of all ages at reasonable prices.

My girls adore Funland!
Funland is a relatively small amusement park geared towards younger kids. They have a lot of rides geared for the under 8 set and a few for older children. The price of the tickets is relatively low and each ride doesn’t require a lot of tickets.
The ride attendants check each child to make sure they are securely in the ride. Lines move fairly quickly.
The only negative to Funland is that it opens at 1:00pm. The rest of the boardwalk and games area opens at around ¹⁰⁄₁₁ am, a late opening doesn’t make much sense.

Words cannot explain how amazing Funland is. My extended family and I have been coming to Rehoboth every year since before I was born, and we love it. One of the best parts about Rehoboth is Funland. Its atmosphere is so fun and friendly! They have a huge variety of interactive games, crane machines, and ticket-​type arcade games, including a ticket redemption center! They also have tons of rides– both kiddie rides and more grown up rides! Ride tickets are very inexpensive, as are the arcade games! Overall, it’s a very family friendly, cheap, super fun place to spend your day/​evening.

Great for kids! It’s more for kids between 3 thru 15 years of age. Lots of rides that are safe. Next to the boardwalk that is great for the whole family with tons of places to eat.

This is a great place for children ages 2 to 12. There are not a ton of rides, but it definitely is entertaining and a nice change of pace from the beach. Rides included are bumper cars, swinging pirate ship, tea cups, haunted mansion, gravatron, merry go round, and a tons of kiddie rides. You can get 50 tickets for $ 15 or 100 tickets for $ 25. Rides are between 1 – 6 tickets.

This was a great place to play some games and hits some rides. Good for kids of varied ages; there’s something for everyone. Located right on the boardwalk, there’s so many rides, including Gravatron, a haunted mansion, bumper cars, kiddie boats and more. The games are so fun; a good variety including skee ball, the claw grab, Duck Pond (for the little ones), ring toss, among others. The prices were so cheap — a book of 20 ride tickets was only $ 7 and the games were no more than $ 2. My two year old enjoyed it, but as an adult who grew up playing games and going on rides at the Jersey shore, this was a fun place for me to enjoy too!

My kids love it here, although it does get BUSY! We try to hit it early in the day in the middle of the week, and it’s still packed, but that’s the nature of the beast. The lines have never been bad (the longest line is for the haunted mansion), but for 100 tickets for $ 25 it’s one of the cheapest diversions while in the area, and we make sure to hit it at least once during our annual trip.
On the rides: some of the rides allow riders who, (in my paranoid opinion!), are probably a bit young to ride on it, so if you have younger children who want desperately to be bigger, you may have to use some discretion, even if they are «big enough». Also, the Sea Dragon is pretty intense, ha!

Funland is where my kids go when they close their eyes and see their happy place. We love it. We are regulars. They have different rides that appeal to different aged kids. The haunted mansion is also very fun.

Friendly people and the rides seem reasonably priced and they have a good variety for children and adults who like that kind of thing.

A lot of fun and very cheap. The lines at night can get a little long, so my advice is to do the Haunted Mansion at night and all the other rides during the day (almost no lines). Great place, I’ve gone every year for the last 7 years.

But seriously, for $ 15 we got 50 tickets. Those tickets probably lasted six hours over two days. Absolutely worth it. (Note: it was fun for our daughter, who is almost three.) Rides are 1 – 3 tickets usually, so you can see that this goes a long way. It was pretty busy but somehow they managed to make it so there weren’t really any lines (except the balloon ride).
Bottom line: Friendly staff and clean environment, an excellent value for your dollar. Very happy that we stumbled upon this place!
Bonuses: smoke-​free environment, and almost all the rides are indoors, so rain and very hot weather isn’t a problem! (Some of the «older people» rides are outside, so no help for weather on those!)

Been going here since I was a kid so naturally I was excited to take my 2 year old. Not as fun as I remembered but I’m older now so rides don’t amuse me much. I can’t believe I used to love all these rides. Anyways, it’s not bout me but really about what Funland is about. What can you not love about small time rides for the little kids, older kids, and even adults can enjoy! A favorite amongst our family and a place that you must go to, especially if you have or know lil ones! It builds years of memories to pass on down from generation to generation.
Definitely a place that is a must try when you are ever in the Rehoboth Beach area with kids!
The Good:
— plenty of rides for the 1 year old to toddler group
— tickets are cheap but they do go fast when your kid rides multiple times
— other rides are great too for older kids
— cool fair style games, even one that you automatically win something so that you don’t look like a loser
— off boardwalk so easy access
— covered so that you don’t get burned by the sun or rained on
The Bad:
— parking can be a beach

Just about the best way to end a day on the beach if you have little ones. 100 tickets for $ 25, with the most expensive ride costing 4 or 5 tickets. My husband’s favorite from his childhood is the Haunted Mansion, which is a fun «track» ride through a haunted house. This is probably the most elaborate ride in the place. There are great little kid rides, like boats, cars, and fire trucks that cost only 1 ticket per ride. With two kids (5 &1), and 4 adults that frequently act like kids our ticket pack still lasted the entire week. Not too shabby!
There is also an arcade section with lots of skee-​ball and ticket-​type arcade machines, and carnival type games along the boardwalk — think ring toss and throw the thing in the thing, or on the thing, or throw the thing to knock the other thing down. We try to avoid those, but usually end up spending a few dollars to throw things anyway.
It’s location on the south end of the boardwalk is perfect — we generally stay on the north end, so it’s a nice walk to end the evening. I’ve heard that parking close to Funland is sometimes tough, but who doesn’t like an evening walk along the boardwalk?

The boyfriend and I went to Rehoboth Beach for vacation, and passed by this place but didn’t check it out until later in our stay. Should have gone sooner! lots of games, a haunted house, rides, just all around fun time. The tickets are pretty cheap and there are lots of games. Fun not just for kids :)

Super fun! We enjoy visiting often during the summer. Not only is it fun but very inexpensive!!!

We had a great afternoon of fun at Funland! As someone else mentioned, parking near the boardwalk gets a little crazy by afternoon, but we were okay with the walk from a few blocks away. The metered parking was kind of a drag, but luckily we weren’t ticketed for spending too much time at Funland (our expired meter wasn’t noticed by anyone who would do anything about it? ;))
At Funland, we were thrilled to get 48 tickets for $ 14. It was a perfect split between the four kids we were entertaining, and everything was close enough that we could stand in the middle and see what the little kids and the big kids were up to the whole time. The rides were clean and the attendants were helpful and friendly.
After spending a week at the shore, I heard of a lot of other boardwalks we could visit, but driving from Bethany Beach to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk and Funland was a great afternoon for us.

As a parent, all you need to know is that Funland will keep the kiddos entertained for a better part of the day. They have games, rides, games and more games which the family can enjoy for not too much green. My boys love the little kiddie rides which although a bit dated, still do a great job of keeping the monkeys happy.
If you’re coming to Funland with small kids, I suggest arriving as soon as they arrive (1pm in the summertime) to beat some of the crazy afternoon crowds. We usually arrive a few minutes before 1pm and are able to find some primo parking spots right behind Funland. Getting there early also helps in picking up the rides tix as you won’t have to wait in crazy long lines with everyone else. The same goes for the rides, early visitors won’t have to deal with long lines for lines and/​or games.
After 2 – 3 hours, we’re usually ready to head home and by that time (4pm-​ish) Funland starts to get pretty crowded. There’s something about this place that will tap into your nostalgic side as memories of your own youth come flooding back as you play the games or take a spin in the tea cup ride. :-)

As soon as I saw this place, all I could think of was that episode of HIMYM where Marshall is wooed to the dark side by Tuckahoe Funland. Funland! It wasn’t a magical place where dreams come true, but it was a good time.
It’s so awesome that tickets are $ 0.30 each or less. 48 tickets for $ 12 was a total bargain. And rides are just 1 – 5 tickets each. We rode the bumper cars, fake tea cups, parachute thingy, carousel, and haunted mansion.
And they have a good range of arcade games too. And skeeball is just $ 0.25! We played and played until my BF finally won me a tiny stuffed dolphin.
Most rides open at 1:00pm during the busy season. However, the haunted mansion didn’t open until 6:30pm. And the haunted mansion is definitely their most popular ride. So plan on a longer wait there than any other ride.
In short, we had a blast here. All wet and salty from our dips in the ocean, but a blast nonetheless.
