I’m not going to lie these donuts are heaven!!! The only issue is when I order the big donuts with writing on them. I have ordered twice from here and both times they forgot to put the word«early» for happy early birthday… I’m not sure why they always opt out to put the whole thing I requested. It would be nice if they would tell me ahead of time that they are unable to put the word early instead of finding out the day I look at the donut and it just says happy birthday. Oh well I guess! Still delicious donuts but I don’t think Ill request for the big donuts anymore

The jelly filled donuts are my favorites. Prices are super good. Bagels are also really good! I prefer the plain toasted.

Today We went in to purchase a dozen donuts. We were greeted by a short chunky blonde girl with glasses. She took our order and I gave her a coupon that I’ve used previously and had no issues– it was a Buy one donut get one glazed donut free. She sarcastically commented saying that this coupon does not apply unless I purchase one single donut. We replied with«I’m not buying one, I’m purchasing 12!» She still kept her snooty attitude and stated that it doesn’t apply to anything to the dozen donuts that I’m purchasing. We didn’t want to argue with this girl who seemed to know how to be simply employed at a donut shop so we shrugged it off.

Great place! Donuts are great, workers are friendly, the place is clean, and you get free refills on your coffee! Plus you can use your debit/credit card and they don’t charge you extra.

I don’t go to doughnut places that often, but when I do, it’s Doughboys. What sets this place from others is the quality and cleanliness. Not to mention, the people employed at both locations are cordial and friendly! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the cleanliness of this location. Followed by a big screen TV. At the time of my visit, Broncos were leading. Their doughnuts are fresh and displayed nicely in a case that is up front so you can see those sugar coated gems up close and personal! I was surprised this time at how many doughnuts were in the case. Perhaps it was because people buy them Sunday night for work on Monday. Perhaps it was because the Superbowl was going on.(Broncos still leading) Regardless, there was a huge selection of those tasty morsels. I selected one of my favorites, a maple bar. What I like about Doughboys is their doughnuts are lighter and fluffier than most other doughnut houses. From the taste of the doughnut, they change their oil on a regular basis. You don’t get that greasy heaviness that some other places have. In addition, the recipe they use is naturally lighter. All in all, their doughnuts taste great! — — — — — — — — — Bottom Line Yes, this place in Reno is my number place of choice for doughnuts. I would highly recommend that you stop at this, or their southern Reno location for your office party/snack wants and needs. (Broncos won)

I have been to Reno a million times but I just recently found Doughboys Donuts while leaving the Walmart parking lot. Inside the location is pretty clean and the service is nice. What I found most interesting about them is their variations of the popular donuts: They have several types of: — glazed raised — plain glaze, sprinkle, maple, chocolate, pink, ORANGE(the best!) — twists — cinnamon(Tiger’s tails), maple, glazed — jelly — blueberry, strawberry — cake — devils food, maple, sprinkles, orange, white, — bars — chocolate chip, peanut butter log, chocolate, maple — square donut holes w/sprinkles! — apple fritters — they also have a mini size! Perfect size, but still a little two sweet for me. — Big Boys — these are giant raised donuts like the ones at Bob’s in SF. They look more appetizing though, with different frosting flavors. .and more. While I haven’t tried all of these(come on!!), I would definitely recommend the orange raised glazed donut, since the glaze uses real orange zest, and cannot be found at typical donut shops. I also noticed that they sell these donuts at Circus Circus, but they only offer a few types.

The chocolate chip roll is my favorite! Their specialty donuts are limited so get there fairly early especially on the weekends to have first pick. Their crumb raised, apple and blueberry fritters are just a few of my family’s favorites; I never leave without a half dozen or dozen when I go in.

** update. …I had bought two of the fritters at the time, but hadn’t tried the second one because of the first one. I just cut it in half and tried it and it was great. Perhaps the one we ate yesterday was a one off situation. I used to be a big fan of this place. The donuts lately seem a bit lacking. Not sure what it is, but it’s just not as good as it used to be. The service is always on point, and the team is genuinely happy to help the customers. Even for call in orders, they are pleasant. Today I went in on a craving for a Devils Food w/nuts. It was not available. No surprise here, as this is a popular choice, and for a late afternoon visit, I was just too late. Though I was able to get one without nuts. It did have the slight crispyness to the outside and the cakey inside that I like. My daughter got the apple fritter, but this one was not so good. the texture of the fritter was too gooey/moist. There was a crunch on the outside, but the inside just put me(and her) off. It was way too sweet. My visits seem to be further and further apart, and perhaps this is why. I may try it again in 6 months as a last shot.

I’ve been here twice, and people have brought these donuts into work. Each time, I’m not impressed. Their donuts feel like something is missing: the taste isn’t great. I’m not sure what it is. I can agree with other reviewers that they take care of their shop for sure. The appeal is there. I’m not sure what it is that doesn’t make me love these donuts.(this was before I had tried Best Donuts in Town). (Elite review detail missing for sure, but I just don’t have much to say about these guys)

The peanut covered chocolate cake doughnut was really good! Not too sweet and a little lemony in the dough. My wife also had the chocolate croissant which was very delicious and I had the ham and cheese croissant. My croissant was quite large and filling and the crust was flaky. Great place friendly staff!

If you’re looking for doughnuts, this is the place to go! With a large variety of doughnuts that are freshly made, Doughboys is sure to have something for everyone. You can order single doughnuts or order by the dozen. Every doughnut I’ve tried has the great fluffy-ness that we all know and love without the greasy heavy feeling that sits in your stomach afterwards with most other doughnuts. Whenever I want a doughnut, Doughnuts is where I go.

Doughboys is always excellent! Delicious, fresh, fried breakfast dough topped with sweet icings and sprinkles, always a highlight of my days! Everyone that works there is friendly, especially considering it’s usually around 6am when I’m there. Easy parking and decent prices this is a Northwest gem.

This place has some bomb donuts. I was craving some donuts hard so drove over at 5AM on a Sunday morning after getting off work(night-shift). I almost expected the business hours to be wrong but low and behold they were open at 5AM on Sunday! I promptly picked out six donuts(glazed, maple, and chocolate sprinkles) and had two right away. So good, two thumbs up!

Doughboy Donuts is one of the true 5-star business in Reno in my books. I love everything orange — fruit, color, you name it. And was quite delighted to learn that they have a delicious orange donut. I wonder if they can make me a bigger version and I’ve yet to ask because somehow we always end up with the pink big boy since I have to share with someone who doesn’t like chocolate. They can probably do other colors and they even offer lettering on them. I decided to get a big donut instead of a cake for my husband’s birthday and thanks to my excellent planning skills, he ended up with pink one with white writing. And he really didn’t mind because he was the one who introduced me to Doughboys and probably likes them more than I do. The service is always friendly and the shop is decked with Pack Pride :)

I went to Doughboys this morning after a week of craving Doughboy Donuts. I try not to go too often. But when I do, it doesn’t disappoint. I tried some firsts– a buttermilk donut which had incredible tasty texture that melted in my mouth. –and a chocolate croissant that was outstanding. I bought 2 dozen. The girl behind the counter was helpful with details and answered all my questions, not to mention she was beautiful. I happily walked out to my car only to realize my car wouldn’t start. I needed a jump and had no cables. After embarrassingly asking 2 random people in the parking lot, I went back in to Doughboys and asked if they could help me. They so kindly and quickly helped! They jumped my car and I was on my way. I LOVETHESEGUYS!

I had been dreaming of doughnuts after banning them from my life completely for months… I finally decided it’s better to give in to temptation occasionally and get it out of my system. So, I slipped into Doughboys Donuts and was greeted with a heavenly aroma of brewed coffee and fresh donuts. I thoroughly enjoyed making my selection(half a dozen for about 5 bucks, 89 cents extra for«specialty doughnuts» such as the enormous apple fritter. I was helped by a cordial and efficient young man and it was so fun to be in line and see the enjoyment of the other customers– it’s truly a time when adults can go back to being kids for a minute when you cross the threshold of Doughboys Donuts. They even have doughnut cakes– giant doughnuts for birthdays and such that are quite impressive. I’m happy to report that my craving was satisfied(No, I didn’t eat ALL the doughnuts) — I ate the edges of the fritter(my favorite part!) and adored the cinnamon crumb donut that was a cake doughnut topped with what tasted like coffee cake streusel(the best part, natch!), shared the rest, and felt supremely, divinely sated. This will definitely be on my list when the doughnut siren(yes, there is such an entity) begins calling to me. Way better than the grocery store and way more fun, too.
