Fuzio is now«Capo», themed to fit a 1970s casino show, with the Brat Pack painted on the walls. Somehow, this is not right. Also, Capo would not accept my less-than-two-years-old Fuzio discount that the hotel handed out by the dozens upon check-in. The prices have gone up a little, and the early-bird discount was not obvious, if it even still exists. I noticed that Capo wasn’t as crowded as Fuzio used to be. Oh, and you’ll hear a lot of Sinatra music while you dine. I think they’re trying to capture the over-80 crowd now. I wish they would have left it as it was. But… the food was still pretty good.

It’s NOTFUZIO but it looks the same basically. This is now called«The Copa» — it’s basically a bar-b-q joint and it has a for real smoker. But do not cut me off from drinking Blue Moon beer in what looks like an 8 ounce pour after the foam settles. That’s plain stupid in a city that practically gives away beer(it does if you gamble) but don’t gamble with this space. I already know it’s had like a half a dozen other names. Maybe that a##hole that doesn’t want anyone to drink at the bar(???) is the issue. How does this woman hold on to this job? I’ve tipped her like I’ve been at a club in San Fran. I think friendlier staff are a MUST at this place or I’ll be more then happy to ditch the Sands totally and go to Cal-Neva, Circus Circus or that crappy bar in the Ramada. Oh no I already have. I’m taking the bus to Famous Dave’s B-B-Q. Customer service means something to me.

We have gift cards and wanted to use them… soon, because it seems like a Fuzio is closing every other day. Well, the one in Reno just CLOSED. Back to the food search engine(aka Unilocal). I only know of one Fuzio left in the area now, and that Fuzio is in San Francisco. May it do better than the others that are getting shot down one by one so I can use the gift cards I have before they disappear from existence too. What happened Fuzio? Your food wasn’t that bad, was it?

Fuzio is now closed. Which is not surprising, since it was stuck in the glorified crack house that is the Sands. It look like they’ve replaced it with something call the Copa. We’ll see how that goes, since its the third thing in here(Tony Roma’s was here before).

The reviews are hot & cold. We were seated promptly & got the $ 4 shrimp appetizer. It was very good. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and the $ 9.99 filet. The shrimp was okay and their dipping sauce was unique in a good way. Given some of the reviews, we were prepared for over-cooked filets, but both of ours were cooked perfectly.

$ 4.99 all you can eat Spaghetti and Meat Balls? I’m down… that is unless our server doesn’t keep up with my demand, which wasn’t much. I practically had to wait 15 minutes for my next bowl. Outside of the $ 4.99 specials which also includes an Artisan Pizza this place is over priced. I’ve also ordered the Filet Minon special, and it’s been dry both times I have ordered it.

We came here on a lark to check out there filet mignon special for 9.99. I perform a little due diligence on Unilocal and elsewhere beforehand just to be safe. Reviews were good. We’re a go. Rather than go to Outback, I wanted to try a less expensive steak and wanted a filet. I like the tenderness. The place is a little bit tricky to find. It’s in the SW corner of the Sands Casino building. There’s an entrance by the hotel lobby on the north side of the building, close to the back. I recommend entering there if you prefer not to breath in second hand smoke. The décor is like some funky ‘80s design like the Contempo bags or L’Oreal styling products. It’s not THAT80s, but it’s on the way. They have a number of smallish tables in a fairly large space. There’s a divider of two sections, one with a curving aisle on the outside and at least 2 rows of tables on the other side. If you’re in the curved tables that are in one row on the right side of the divider, you may feel a little bit like you’re on an island. Sort of weird. The hostess will get you seated promptly. No teenagers that haven’t learned you’re supposed to actually try at work or slackers that just don’t care. Table service is fairly fast in terms of getting you drinks. If you just get the filet, they will be disappointed and unfortunately they are just unprofessional enough to show it. Happy Hour specials are tremendous. 2 bucks for a pint of Sierra? Hell yeah! We’ve gotten the filet deal here a number of times. It comes with some ravioli in a light cream sauce and green beans. All parts are extremely well prepared. The filet is a solid 5 oz, no fat visible inside or on the exterior. It’s not the choicest filet, but it’s not the worst either. For filet, average. For 9.99, it’s a steal. I do think medium rare does end up being medium, however. Be forewarned. It’s filet. It will be plenty tender. We also got a pretty good seafood appetizer one time with a few types of seafood. I feel very comfortable saying this is one of the best deals in Reno and the best steak deal in the city. Enjoy! And give thanks for casino subsidies and broke gamblers that want good food, but can’t afford anything more.

received a $ 20 comp from terribles rail city casino for this place so I thought I would try it out. I order the NY steak, crab cakes. The steak was nothing to write home about. In fact, Rail City’s Ale House restaurant Has a better Steak Than this place. I asked for my steak to be cooked chared rare. It did not even come close. Had to ask for a salad. I guess that is not included with your dinner order. Crab cakes were greasy and kind of mushy and not crispy like I am used to. veggies that came with the dish had too many red bell peppers and were sparse. Also came with a piece of some kind of bread. Service was good but I would not eat here again If I had to pay the whole check. Whole meal cost 32.00. minus the $ 20. comp = 12.00 tip=$ 5.00

15min wait for 2 people in a practically EMPTY restaurant?! Are you kidding me?! The hostess looked apologetic relaying this information to me… but I actually saw the waitress tell her not to seat any more people. WTF? Servicing one table is too much work for you? Ridiculous.

This is a good restaurant in the Sands — wait staff was ok — they gave preferential treatment to others — not sure why — but overall ok — food was very good and came out fairly quickly once our order was placed(after others who came in after us).

Hmmmm. This is more than a casino coffee shop, I’ll give you that. They have some interesting menu items but my chicken parmigiana was, unfortunately, well below par. It was a little tough and overcooked, almost to the point of being burned. I was pleasantly surprised to get some nice spinach as a vegetable side instead of the usual unimaginative vegetable«medley.» Looks like they took some effort to make some different bread available than the usual rolls and what not. It took a while to get my beer, and the bar is only a few steps away. I was expecting, in the way of décor and atmosphere, a little more. I don’t know what I was expecting, exactly, but something different. They use the paper-on-top-of-table-cloth arrangement so when they bring you your appetizer you don’t get a plate, so the table gets a little messy. Not fond of that. It is inside the Sands, which is, well, the Sands. All in all, the food wasn’t bad, but not up to the hype. Service was definitely casino-coffee-shop style. The other restaurants i the casino are an Arby’s and a Mel’s «Original» Diner, so this is about as high as you can go in the Sands. You might want to aim a little higher.

After reading the reviews here I suggested Fuzio for a night out thinking it would be a hidden treasure. While it wasn’t horrible, I would not say we were pleased. In general I don’t ever go to the Sand’s casino as it’s pretty seedy. I had looked over the menu prior to going and it looked great. When we found the restaurant our faces dropped. I wasn’t expecting a high-end steakhouse, but maybe a chic bistro style? nope, it looked like a hospital cafeteria or a mall food court diner. My partner and I eyed each other with raised eyebrows but decided to be seated anyway. I ordered their signature pork fusilli pasta dish and he ordered a steak. My dish was practically inedible. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente(yay!) but the sauce and the pork tasted of pure salt. mouth puckering salt. I wasn’t that hungry so I didn’t send it back and just ate around the salty shreds of pork. My partner ordered his steak med-rare and got a full on well done, brown all the way through steak. We did not return either dish that night, although both should have been. I guess it was because of the experimental nature of the dining night and we were too distracted by the sketchy people hanging around outside the restaurant(we were seated near the front with a view of slot machines.) The waiter offered dessert, to which I immediately demurred that we were too full for(I love post dinner sweets, but I figured they would be terrible anyway) but my partner eyed the chocolate cake and decided to order under the reasoning that it was cheap(and it was, less than $ 4 for a large slice). The cake was very dried out, as if it were pre-sliced and exposed to air for about a week. We won’t be back, but didn’t feel terrible about the meal as it was quite cheap(less than $ 30 for two). But you get what you pay for I guess.

$ 9.99 for filet mignon + ravioli + some small side of veggies. lets be honest, for under $ 10 for a decently cooked filet, is a steal. it truly was cooked to order(as is not always the case especially with sub $ 15 steaks in casinos). the ravioli, though initially i thought«what? 4 raviolis??» was definitely enough. for reno i’d say its one of the«classier» restaurants, in a pretty seedy casino. the restaurant is sparkly clean, and the wait staff is definitely decent. overall, i’d come back, this is a far better deal than any of the buffets in reno especially when you consider the price.

Just returned from dinner at Fuzio again… and as per usual it was great. Fuzio is a restaurant in the Sands, and once inside you can’t hear the slot machines. Now, I don’t mind slot machines — but if you do then its good to know that you can’t hear them while you are eating. I like the cheese filled ravioli, but my favorite is the angel hair pasta with tomatoes. For an appetizer I always get the spinach and artichoke dip. Like others have mentioned, the size of the appetizers could easily be meals in themselves! The artichoke dip comes with toasted bread used for dipping. The entrée portions are very filling as well. I always need a to-go box. The food always comes out really fresh and hot. Like, UNUSUALLY hot! Hot food is always good… but I totally burned my mouth today haha! So just watch out I guess. Service is always great. The glasses are always re-filled. You’re never waiting around or wondering where the server is. Clean restaurant and great value.

If you love all kinds of noodles, this is the place for you! My mom and I ate here during happy hour, so drinks were cheap. We also ordered appetizers, which were also inexpensive(happy hour.) I ordered some kind of noodles and shrimp, drizzled with peanut sauce. The staff was very promt and professional. Our water glasses never went empty. When I go back to Reno, I’m definitely making room in my schedule for Fuzio, the King of Noodle Creativity. xoxo

The first time I ever went to this Fuzio it was a disaster. Both the food and service was awful. It was such a horrible experience in fact, that I wrote a review on their website. And to my surprise I received an email about my experience not long after I wrote my review and an inventation to try this place again as my experience apparently was not the norm. Still skeptical, I took Fuzio up on their offer the next time I was in Reno… and it was like a completely different place altogether! I got the chicken marsala with button mushrooms and portobello mushroom orzo. It was moist and flavorful! My friend got their chicken parmesan, which was equally good. My girlfriend got their chicken sausage penne, and to my surprise(I don’t usually combine chicken and sausage in the same dish) it was excellent. For dessert, we go their Tiramisu. I am always hesitant to order tiramisu at restaurants because it always ends up dry, boring, and not that good. However their version was superb! The ladyfingers were fresh, the expresso was no too overpowering, the marscapone cheese cream sauce was PERFECT, and together they created an amazing familiar taste. The service was excellent, both friendly and attentive! I have to say this experience restored my faith in this place as a delicious eclectic restaurant to go to while in Reno or The Bay Area of California!

This is for their Happy Hour. Very nice. Not sure how long the deal will last though. If it was full price, it would probably be about 3 stars. But we went in July when it first opened. It was pretty empty in there. The service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter told us about the Happy Hour deals and he said All the appetizers were $ 2 so we were actually going to just order 2 and then 1 entrée to share for the 2 of us but he said why don’t you just order all the appetizers since they are all $ 2 and they are pretty full sized appetizers. Yes they were FULLSIZE. We were expecting small little plates but they were full size. They also had $ 2 beers. I felt kinda bad cause I don’t think they possibly could have made any money on us. Even the manager came by at the end of our meal to make sure we had a good time. I actually looked at all the stuff we ordered. If we went during regular hours, I think we would have spent about $ 60. But with the Happy Hour Deal, we spent less than $ 20 out the door with the tip and tax already factored in. When I am back in Reno, I will DEFINITELY Go back. It’s a destination HAPPYHOUR. Also, I forgot to mention, we went on a Saturday so they actually have this 7 days a week. Like I said though, this seems too good of a thing to last forever so if they still got it, GO!!! HAPPYHOURDEETS: 3p-6p Daily $ 2 for all appetizers $ 2 Drafts $ 5 Fuziotini
