Pizza was undercooked and the chicken topping was bitter. Terrible service and bad pizza overall, I don’t plan on returning. P. S. the pizza was burnt, soggy, and tasted like cardboard. Please don’t GO so they can GO out of business!

I’ve been to Yummies several times before I decided to write this review. The food is Meh but the service is HORRID. They only have one person working at a time and it takes at least 30mins to get your food. Their credit card machine was broken and they never mentioned it on the phone nor did they have a sign posted on the door saying«Cash ONLY.» Those are pretty basic things that a business should be able to get right. Overall there are plenty of other good places in downtown Reno, AVOID Yummies, I know I won’t be going back.

Went in to see whats up with the non-pizza items, as we were simply not in the mood. She ordered a gyro with cucumber sauce while I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak without mushrooms. We were told it would be about ten minutes, so we went out to watch people break down the Street Vibrations booths and whatnot while we waited. The whole time, there was an elderly gentleman with no shoes and a black plastic bag of mysterious origin sitting at one of the tables sans food or beverage, but hey, a guy has to stay warm somewhere, right? When our food was eventually presented to us, our initial observation was that the gyro seemed to be made of some meat like material that«tastes like dog food», and that my philly cheesesteak was not a cheesesteak at all. Featuring lettuce, onions(fresh), tomatoes and green peppers(fresh) on french bread, the sandwhich had almost no meat, hardly any cheese and was clearly constructed of beef cooked long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away. Now, I’m from Los Angeles, not Philadelphia, but I’ve been to Philly, and I know what a Philly Cheesesteak is. This was not that at all, this was cold and uninviting. A true Philly features GRILLED onions and/or green peppers, HOT meat covered in swiss or provolone, and doesn’t taste like ass. This massive disappointment cost me thirteen bucks and change, and I’ll not return. Booooo!!!

Not bad if your looking for a quick bite to eat. No big lines which is nice. Prices are a bit higher that I like but not too unreasonable. No parking close by, this is they type of place you find just walking by. The eating area has seen better days but I have been to worst. Just another place to grab a quick bite to eat. The lady at the cash register is new and under cooked the calzone but she was nice enough to take it and cook it more. Not the worst place to go but not the best place, just so so. Thanks for reading my review and stay safe.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place while walking downtown one day and decided to try it since we’re huge pizza fans. Once we got inside we waited in line while the employee was busy talking about her personal problems to what seemed like her ex-boyfriend. After about 5 mins, she decided to finally take our order and kept interrupting me while trying to order. That really frustrated me. While waiting, none of the tables available were clean. There were empty pizza trays and the tables were sprinkled with Parmesan. To make things worse, the same employee was touching all the food with her bare hands after smoking a cigarette. She had made our Cesar salad with her filthy hands. The employees do not wear gloves nor care to wash their hands after their breaks. After receiving our salad, she didn’t care to bring us forks and rolled her eyes when my boyfriend asked her for forks. The food itself was pretty good, but the place is definitely not sanitary and the employees do not seem to care.

I just discovered Yummies earlier this evening. It is located in the former location of California Pizza on East 4th Street, which I’m still missing pretty badly, especially all those fresh-squeezed juices! Anyhow, the first thing I was wondering about was if this location is affiliated with the Yummy’s on Prater Way in Sparks, which I also just recently discovered. After speaking with one of the friendly employees, she mentioned that the two owners were once partners, but then split up, which could be the reason it’s spelled a little differently(I-E-S vs. Y-’-S.) So, I guess it’s a rivalry thing between two former owners that I’ve seen happen so many times in the restaurant industry over the years. Gotta admit though, it’s awesome! They have many value specials, including a single large 16″ pepperoni or cheese for $ 5.99, two medium 14″ three toppings for $ 10.99, and two large 16″ three toppings for $ 15.99. It looks like other items on the menu include calzones, salads, gyros, hoagies, wraps, burgers, and lots of sides including fries, wings, chicken nuggets, jalapeño poppers, calamari, the whole shebang. Looks like they’re geared for delivery as well, and are maybe still setting up shop — no delivery zones or operating hours known as of yet. So far, definitely recommend!
