What can I say about IHOP. Apparently they are in other countries be sides the US(International House of Pancakes). Met my brother there because it was the closest place for breakfast. It’s been a very long time since I’ve visited an IHOP. Are they gourmet? No… Are they unique? No … Is there something special about them? No… They make breakfast… Pretty simply.: pancakes, waffles, omelette sand eggs.(Although you can get a burger as well.). They are usually pretty clean, this one was. They are good for families. Good place to stop for breakfast if you are on the road. My only issue here was that the coffee was not hot. Told them on the way out, but they didn’t seem concerned.

Crepes were cold but ok, pancakes were very cold and probably shouldn’t have sat in the window and should probably have more then one server. Asked for a high chair and waited and waited so I went and grabbed one myself. We were really excited to eat here and it was not satisfactory.

Best crepes I’ve ever had! Their breakfast crepes are a must have! I came to ihop with my roommate around 11:00 this morning and the restaurant was completely packed! We waited about 10 minutes for a table, not too bad considering it was a Sunday right around brunch time. We had a really nice young waiter who stayed on top of filling our drinks and got our food in immediately since we knew what we wanted before we sat down. Took about 10 minutes for the food to come out. The only complaint I have about our visit is how loud it was. The restaurant was packed but there was a table of men right next to us who were talking extremely loud and talking over each other. Probably didn’t help that we were sitting in an enclosed room, but it smelt like Body odor in there until we got our food which probably masked the smell of it. The noise and the smell are the only reasons for taking off a star. We had great service and the food was amazing as usual!

I love IHOP’s crepes. Please never get rid of these menu items. Chicken Florentine crepes are the bomb!

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever tried to eat. Poor service, tasteless food and it just didn’t even feel clean. obviously I won’t return.

Service was great and food was good; owner was super attentive. Prefer local shops but this place has special meaning to us. Our youngest son died and iHOp was the last place we took him.

Been there 2 times, the first and last… Ok. It was busy. We were there about 9:15AM and it took a long time to get the food which when it came was not entirely what we ordered. I had the Senior 2 eggs, bacon and hash brown all which were on the greasy side. Toast was completely not toasted. My granddaughter ordered a full size breakfast and asked to substitute chocolate Chip pancakes and server said ok. When order came with was with buttermilk so we asked to have it corrected which they did. I felt like all the servers were under a lot of stress. I think they tried to do a good job but certainly did not look or act happy. There are too many good places in Reno that serve great breakfasts and this one is not one of them.

When we lived on the east coast we used to love IHOP. Living in small towns, there were not a lot of independently owned restaurants. While chains were not my favorite, it was mostly all there was unless we were traveling. So IHOP was a regular when we ate out. We stopped in to this IHOP after driving back from SAC, hubby wanted sweet I wanted savory and the teen just wanted food. I felt like this restaurant would fit everyone’s needs. Meh not so much. We were seated right away and our server came right over. I want to say she was a great server. She was friendly, fast, and got everything right. The 2 stars is the restaurant and the food. The place felt kind of grungy and dirty. I checked out the restrooms(always do this before we eat there) and it was messy. The restaurant was completely dead, so there was really no excuse for the condition. Toilet paper on the floor, trash full, just not clean. I ordered the Chicken Florentine crepes, hubby had pancakes and the teenager had a burger and fries(big surprise). Everything came out very quickly. My crepes just did not taste good. The chicken tasted rubbery, the spinach not cooked long enough and the Hollandaise sauce was really thick. Hubby’s pancakes were okay just not great and his eggs came back dry 2 times(he asked for wet eggs). The teenager was underwhelmed with his burger(too dry). So while it was not bad, it wasn’t good. Maybe we are so used to eating fresh foods that we just do not like this kind of food anymore, but whatever it is we won’t be back. There are too many great restaurants to eat at in Reno to not be thrilled with the food.

I figure that all IHOPS are the same but since this was a good experience I thought I would review it. Came here around 2pm or so and the place was empty and knew it would be a good experience. We walked in and we got seated right away and our waiter was quick in his work — which is great. He asked us for our drink order and our food order at decent time which is always great. For a party of 5 we got his stuff right. Once we got our drinks our food came out no more than 20 minutes afterwards — if that! Our food was good and was warm — which again was great! Not sure if this IHOP is normally like this or because the pace was empty but if I am ever back in the area I would come back here. Check this spot out if you haven’t already. Overall I am a huge fan of IHOP so I wasn’t disappointed.

This isn’t my favorite place for breakfast but we had a large group and thought it would work. The food at IHOP is consistent. They do a nice job of putting the pictures from the menu on the plate. The stuff they put on the plate is generally delicious as well. However, I believe they put crack in the pancakes as those things are so flippin delicious that I cant stop eating them — and I dont eat carbs! I would come here more if the healthy things on the menu were just as good as the pancakes. But it’s hard to push pancakes away for unsweetened oatmeal and fruit. The kids like coming here because they can eat the food and the kids menu keeps em busy coloring while the food is being worked up. One point of coolness… One of the moms in our group had an emergency in the parking lot with one of the youngsters just as the meal was coming out. After a few minutes, the waitress offered to re-make her meal so it was warm. Nice touch IHOP.

Yes, I’m giving IHOP five stars. Yes, five stars. I always hit this place up on my exit out of Reno. The Manager/Owner is always there and is pretty much as professional as it gets. No complaints there. The swedish pancakes/crepes are to die for. These really feel like European pancakes and they are amazing. Sure every single IHOP, but this is the IHOP I frequent the most. Can’t leave Reno without these. Not sure with some of the negativity IHOP gets as they really do specialize in their breakfast and honestly, it’s one of the best around. IHOP really does know how to make pancakes, and I’m a HUGE pancake guy.
