Last week I went there with a coupon in hand and had a 1⁄3 pound thickburger to go. It was a really tasty and juicy sandwich. Today I went back with another of their coupons and ordered the same, a 1⁄3 pound thickburger. The heavily accented voice on the drive-up speaker asked me FOUR times if I wanted the western burger with bacon and FOUR times I told her, no, I wanted the thickburger. When I drove up to the window she asked me again and again I said no, a thick burger. She said OK. I drove away with my paper bag full of burger. When I got home I found that I had a western burger. It was horrible, no flavor except for sweet and I hate sweet meat. It had lots and lots of catchup on it and one fried onion ring. If I ever go back there they will get a piece of my mind about this visit as it was just wrong, wrong, wrong. I would give them no stars if that was possible.

Every time I go to this location I regret the decision. They re extremely slow often mess up my order and honestly it’s hard to communicate with the staff. It’s fast food don’t have very high standards but damn come on now.

I don’t know what happened to this place. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had there. Went there Friday afternoon 2/19…I ordered the crispy chix sandwich combo, the one on he «fresh bun»…fries and drink… he ordered the Original Star with fried zucchini and drink. Even tho this is fast food, and was in the drive through, I never minded waiting because it was made fresh to order every other time I’ve ever been to this location. What we got today… my fried chix was cold, bun looked like it was stepped on, literally the end rind of iceberg lettuce, fries were cold and soggy as if sitting there for a long time. His burger… burger? Where’s the beef?! He had an onion slice, one slice but it was 2″ thick and he also had the lettuce rind on his too. Very sad. The ONLY thing edible, hot and cooked right were the zucchini. It’s too bad. I get that it’s fast food… but no matter what your job is… take pride in it.

After my terrible experience at Carl’s Jr on Kietzke, I decided to go to this one for 2 for $ 6 deal I was unable to get, I have been to this one at least 40 times or more over the years, and my service was always decent, maybe 1 time my order took longer than expected, and I was comped food/drink, whatever to make up for it. I go to drive up, 1 car in front of me, ordering, no one in front of them. I order, pull up, turn off my car, and wait for at least 10 minutes. I have no idea, what’s going on in front of me, but on this particular day I only have a 30 minute lunch. The car in front of me finally leaves, I turn on my car, pull up, and the guy takes my card, doesn’t greet me, say, anything, but the price of the food, he takes a little extra long with my card, hands it back and there’s no food ready. Then he proceeds to sit there in the window, all nonchalant like he’s on a 15 minute break, and he’s not even in view of the food. He talks to a another female employee. It’s a couple of minutes, and it seems like the female employee is halfheartedly looking for my food, not this guy. Then the guy goes to the lobby register and starts taking orders, completely ignoring me now. I have been here for 15 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches, and I have no food and my lunch is almost over. I finally start waving, honking my horn, and it takes forever to get any attention, finally they come over don’t say anything, and I say I want a refund, so the older lady who I assume is a manager comes over. They process my refund, but can’t return it on my card, and say they can give me cash. She doesn’t say anything, no real deep apology, no excuses about new employee cooking, or even an offer to make it up to me, like, sorry, if you wait a minute I will give you the food for free. I got a refund and pathetic sorry comment. Freaking unbelievable, so I ended up with 5 minutes left to get food right next to work, where I didn’t even want to eat. I am SOOOODONE with CARL’S JR!

Avoid! The first time I came here in a long while, I come about fifteen minutes before their closing time. I pull up to the drive-thru box, no response. I look inside to see all of the workers standing around, laughing at me sitting at the drive-thru. I pull around and stop again at the drive-thru box. Still no response. When I pull up to the window, I honk to get the,(assuming,) manager’s attention. She opens the window and snaps, «We closed.» I tell her I had been waiting there for a response since ten minutes before they were officially closed. She tells me the computer said I pulled up at 11. I respond by telling her that was the SECOND time I had pulled up. She blankly stares at me, I tell her this is bad business considering I was here long before their closing time, and pull off. I decide to give this place a second chance. Wrong idea! For whatever reason, subbing a natural patty for a thickburger patty is beyond their comprehension. It took literally ten minutes to order a combo meal, which the cashier then proceeded to charge me for each combo meal item INDIVIDUALLY instead of as a combo meal. When I pull up to the window, I ask why it’s so expensive and if they charged it as a combo or if they charged it all individually. The guy calls over the same exact manager who ignored me the previous time I had come here, without even saying anything to me, he just walks away. I tell her what I think has happened; she argues with me that I need to pay $ 11 and some odd cents, BEFOREEVENLOOKINGATTHECOMPUTERTOSEEIFWHAT I WASSUSPECTINGWASRIGHT. I insist she look at the computer once more, as I’m not paying over $ 11 for one freaking combo meal, and once she does, she grumbles for the correct price of the meal. After swiping my card, she throws my food at me with my card and slams the window shut, as if I’m in the wrong here for her employee’s mistake. I understand your position at Carl’s Jr. isn’t exciting and probably rather annoying, but if you’re that miserable and are going to continue to treat your customers poorly, maybe you should reconsider your career path.

Normally I wouldn’t bother to review a national chain because they’re all about the same, but this is a sad place. It’s about halfway between my house and office, so I do stop in occasionally – and I’m nearly always disappointed. Today I paid more than $ 9 for a soggy, barely warm burger, limp, room temperature fries and a small soft drink. The person who prepared the food was sweeping the floor when I walked in, and went right back to the cooking area without washing her hands, and the woman working the register went from handling cash to bagging fries also without washing hands. The order took so long that I walked to the 7-Eleven next door and bought a newspaper, and it still wasn’t ready when I returned. There are four or five other fast-food places within about a quarter mile. No reason to go back here.

Much faster service, more modern, and much more cleaner than the one on Virginia.

Sat in my car for 10 minutes in 90 degree weather, waiting for one cheeseburger, not even a meal… while the guy at the drive through register, took orders, took cash and ran in another employee’s meal before she left, all before ever coming over to me, Ugh. That’s what I get for wanting a fast cheeseburger!

I visited this Carl’s, Jr. on Wednesday March 2, 2011. I had a Western Bacon Cheeseburger and a large fries. I thought the meal was good, but not good enough to justify the $ 7 price. What is disturbing is that this is one of their best meals, but one of their least expensive. The cleanliness is okay, but could be better. The service is slow unless you order one of their popular items, which means that they are caught unprepared when a rare menu selection is made. I would not recommend this unless you have a gift card.

A heinous guilty pleasure of mine is found at Carl’s Jr. My all-time favorite fast food combo meal is a freakish creation of my own: Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Fried Zucchini & Strawberry Shake. Just like Hartigan said in Sin City, «There’s wrong and there’s wrong and there’s this.» Sometimes, though, I just got to do it. I try not to think about how many days’ worth of calories or what obscene amount of saturated fat is packed into this meal. I only hope there’s a defibrillator on the premises. For our 1st meal back in civilization after leaving Black Rock City, the girlfriend was coincidentally also in the mood for Carl’s Jr. I knew it was time for my wretched indulgence &GPS led us to this store. I ordered my Frankenstein-of-a-meal but when the food came out, it came with onion rings instead. I informed the cashier of the mistake & she said she would bring me the Fried Zucchini. It took a long time for that Fried Zucchini to come, but I got to keep the onion rings. When the Fried Zucchini was finally united with my Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger & Strawberry Shake, it was all so good, so bad but so good. Service at this Carl’s Jr. was off but the food was so right in a such a wrong way.

This place is vile. I had the jalapeño burger, which consisted of a tiny slice of beef, some ok veggies, and some flavorless jalapenos(no heat!) that was drowned in a mayo type sauce. Burger was luke warm at best. Wife had a chicken sandwich that was drowned in more mayo than my burger. Most of hers went to the dogs when we got home. Fries were ok – mediocre at best really.
