We ordered about at 1PM, there was no line, we thought the food come out fairly quickly. 35 minutes later the food came out. There were two orders that came out before ours. Almost forty minutes later they call our number. They don’t bring it to your table nor do they have trays so you’re stuck carrying a hot brimming bowl of soup to your table with your bare heads. Who thought this process through? The food was decent, the process was agonizing and the staff although pleasant was incompetent. Go get phở somewhere else it is worth the walk, taxi and time to stay away from this place. It’s either a money sink or subsidized by the casino.

Was having an insane craving for noodles, came here at 8am and they’re not serving noodles until 11am. So misleading to call themselves a noodle bar. I got the wonton Bbq pork soup. It was whatevers. Overpriced. I didn’t like how they gave me my check right when they brought my food. Made me feel rushed.

Will never go there ever again. The cashier let so lady who were locals cut in line because her daughter was the cook. Waited 15 mins and my food never came out. Asked for a refund and the manager Kanaii(I think that was her name) was very rude. Asked to speak to another manager her superior because I did not appreciate the way to reacted towards canceling my old and asking for a refund. She wouldn’t call anyone else. They deserve no stars! The prior management and staff was better. A simple apology for the long wait and refund was just not a skill their managers had.

The service here was good. The staff were friendly and responsive. The downside is that what I ordered was very boring and bland. This place is part of Harrah’s attempt to attract Asian gamers, for example, the menu is in Mandarin and they have more traditional dishes. However, the food comes out more like very average American style chinese food. I don’t see any point of actually coming here to eat since it isn’t that cheap and there are much better Asian offerings around downtown.

We found this little gem hidden in the back of harrah’s casino. The dishes start at around $ 10 but it is definitely worth the price. The portions are huge and the flavor is on point. We ordered the noodle soup and the salt pepper pork chop. It was so good! If you are ever in Reno, go check this place out. You will not be disappointed. We’ve been here a couple times now ever since we found it.

We wanted to order food and take it up to our room in the hotel and we’re told we couldn’t because we were holding our 18 month old. Why would you put one of your only four restaurants where a family can’t go?

Was not expecting authentic Cantonese in a casino. I ordered the seafood rice porridge: excellent!

If your tastebuds are working and you suddenLy find yourself hungry– DON’T BOTHERCOMINGHERE. This review is soLeLy on the three meaLs we purchased at Joy Luck NoodLe Bar: –Steak & Eggs(off of the Late Night Menu) –CLam Chowder in Sourdough Bread BowL(Late night menu– onLy avaiLabLe on Friday/Saturday) –BBQ Pork and Wonton NoodLe Soup(50⁄50 egg & rice noodLes) Steak was ok and it was honestLy the BESTPART of our meaLs. Keep in mind that I said it was mereLy«OK». The eggs tasted fake and I couLdn’t force them down no matter how hard I tried. The potatoes were super processed and frozen but I managed to mask their off taste with ketchup and steak sauce. CLam Chowder bread bowL had been nuked in the microwave and the soup seemed to have more sandy/grainy particles than the norm. BUT I must add that I was pLeasantLy surprised that they didn’t skimp on chunks of cLam. Wonton NoodLe Soup– where do I even begin? We requested to have half egg/half rice noodles and it was over cooked and mushy. The soup was absoLuteLy BLAND and so not worth the $ 10 price tag. PASS on this! Do yourseLf a huge favor and waLk down the street to EL Dorado and hit up PHOMIEN(check out my review and pictures posted). Who doesn’t Love affordabLe pricing and deLicious grub? Phở mien wiLL hit the spot for any Asian food cravings.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our meal. Truly a hidden treasure amidst all the buffet. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something that is delicious but still reasonably priced. Our cook and server was Jesse. We ordered #2 and # 12 and it was served fresh and hot.

Me and the boys were done pounding beers and $ 3 blackjack hands at Cal Neva and stumbled upon Joy Luck Noodle Bar while walking through the Harrah’s Casino… all of a sudden, some noodles and rice sounded SUPER good. And man, I was pleasantly surprised at how good Joy Luck Noodle Bar was! Every item on the menu was around $ 10-$ 12 and that may seem expensive for a casual sit down Chinese place in Reno, the PORTIONS were HUGE. Each protein entrée is served in a big bowl with a bed of rice underneath it. Honestly, one portion is good enough for two people! The house fried rice was super delicious. Cooked on a hot wok, it has huge chunks of chicken, shrimp, and bbq pork. The chow fun was served in a spicy black bean sauce and it wasn’t super oily. We also had salt & pepper pork chops. The dish is served with a bok choy and was tasty as well. We spent about $ 35 and worth every penny! We left stuffed. Customer service was good but wait time can be long. It looked like only one person was cooking, so it did take about 15 – 20 minutes to get your order. You can order take-out but it cost an extra $ 1. Also, chinese food is only available until 11pm, after that it’s a «late night» menu… burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc. Restaurant is located right on the casino floor by Sammy’s Bar! It’s right by the long hallway entrance off of Virginia St. Definitely stop by if you need some carbs to sober up!

Enjoyed the crispy fried noodles with chicken and veggies and also the shrimp fried rice. Definitely will order both items again. Also nice that they have a late night menu.

It was … okay. We popped in after a friend remembered«a hidden gem» tucked away inside Harrah’s. Couldn’t find it and had to ask for directions — it’s literally hidden! It’s downstairs next to the Asian card games. I wasn’t that hungry, so I just opted for the won ton soup, which was just what I wanted. Simple, hot, decent, filling, nothing too memorable. Can’t say much for the ambiance or anything else, and, since my friends treated me, I can’t remember how much it cost. A decent option if you don’t feel like wandering too far if you are already inside Harrah’s or close by.

If you like Wor Wonton soup then you must try Joy Luck Noodle Bar’s. With the standard ingredients– noodles, won tons, shrimp, pork, chicken and veggies… and lots of everything a large meal to say the least… you will probably have left overs! The food is fresh and it comes to you pretty fast and of course hot! so be careful! I also had the beef noodle soup… with the same rating… yummy!

Harrahs Casino Joy Luck Noodle Bar is just the spot for 24⁄7 access to oodles of noodles. Need to carb up for a marathon – they got that. Jonesing for Mongolian BBQ – come on in. Searching for yummy drunk food – yer darn straight, this is the place! However, leave the kiddos at home… no children allowed. Nestled inside the casino, this eatery is casual and very reasonably priced. Staff busily worked, but took time to patiently describe menu items. Food was decent. I wanted noodles with seafood, and while it wasn’t on the menu, they happily made it for me! Locals with the casino card and local sticker get discounts!!!

Does the job. Had a satay/black bean beef chow fun for dinner. Then had a wonton/char siu noodle soup at midnight. Then finished it off with steak and eggs(part of late night menu; I believe they change their regular noodle menu to late night menu consisting of steak and eggs and sandwiches at midnight or 1am). Warning: wait for dinner can be long, so just put in your order and sit down and play a few hands of baccarat: p

As with other nearby casino noodle place Phở Mein, you’ll pay a bit of a premium here over nearby non-casino competitors like Phở 777 and Phở Country, but the food is actually pretty good and they at least give you real big portions for the money. Prices range from about 8 to 13 bucks after tax for a meal. So far I’ve tried the chicken and shrimp pad thai and the fried pork chop over rice, both among the more expensive menu items, but both were really good and I was happy with the portion size. It’s a good convenience dinner if you’re staying in the west tower at Harrah’s, as it’s right next to the elevators on the casino level, and after some point at night(I think 9 or 10 pm) they start serving a late night menu of cheeseburgers and such that’s a bit less pricey than the noodle combos. If you’re staying in the east tower, however, it’s a bit of a hike over here, and Phở 777 is both much closer and offers lower prices for about the same size and caliber of food. Aside from the usual casino price jacking, one big downside is that you can’t call down orders for pickup if staying at the hotel. It’s a tiny grill space that I’ve only ever seen one person cooking at so it takes a long time to get your food even if there’s only a couple people ahead of you. It’s a solid place to use Total Rewards comp dollars for a meal though, if you don’t want to blow twice as much at Hash House.

I recently discovered the Joy Luck Noodle Bar during a visit to Harrah’s Reno. Noodles and bowls really aren’t my thing, so I can’t really comment on those menu items, but I was really happy to discover that it’s open 24/7, which is always good knowing. I tried the double patty cheeseburger and fries, and everything was excellent — especially when it’s comped! A good, surefire meal any time of the day or night. The video poker bar is a great place to chill out, and there’s a small dining area inside with several tables and chairs. The restaurant boasts some type of contest known as the«Big Bowl Noodle Challenge» — a MASSIVE dish, which I personally couldn’t see consuming in weeks, much less in one sitting, but apparently, many people have done it!

I went here a couple times during my stay at Harrah’s Reno because they’re open late and sometimes you just don’t want to gorge yourself at a buffet. Got carded because I apparently look 12. The portions are huge and they do give lots of meat. I tried the pad thai and shrimp lo mein. My mom thought their walnut shrimp over rice looked good, but of course the way that type of dish is prepared involves multiple phases of oil and frying so I advised against it. Noodles were good – my peeve is overcooked noodles so this place left me happy. I can’t even finish a whole order by myself, so I honestly don’t know how people do the Noodle Challenge. But then again, I’ve seen people devour an entire pizza so I guess everyone’s appetite is different…(but seriously, your doctor will probably thank you for not trying to eat the 4 – 5 lbs of noodles/toppings). As a plus, you can pay with the credits you earn from gambling. Note that they also charge an extra buck for takeout, but we still did that anyway because the noodle bar itself is quite small and the security guards kept asking me how old I was.

Wanted a quick bite to absorb all the alcohol before hitting the casino again. Various Chinese dishes located her, ironically next to the Asian game table areas. My friend and I both ordered the pad thai which came with shrimp and chicken. Our food arrived shortly later, and the bowls of pad thai were HUGEEEEE. We could’ve easily shared one as we didn’t make much of a dent in either. The noodles were good, and the sriacha they provided helped give it a kick. But the chicken was absolutely horrifying in this dish. Bad fatty parts, and oddly colored. Took them all out, and the shrimp was a bit sketchy too. For $ 12, it was a lot of food, and the noodles hit the spot, but will ask for a veggie pad thai if I ever eat here again.
