Believe it or not every port of subs is different they are not all the same. This is one of the better ones in Reno, I always get the classic number 8 turkey on provolone on white. I’ve probably tried all the sandwiches on the menu throughout my lifetime but I always stick to the number 8. First of all, the staff here is the best they are happy and they make you feel like a valued customer. The place is very clean that is always a plus Lastly the ingredients are fresh and that can make or break a sandwich. I give this place 5 stars because of the staff, I hope the owner sees this review and I hope he values his employees because they are the reason I will drive out of my way to come here.

The staff here is awesome. Especially the manager, he is always friendly and polite. There is never a wait at this location, and if there are more than a few people they always have enough staff to get through the rush. This is my favorite port of subs location, all they need now is one of those updated soda machines that the rest of them have!

Nice, clean, large Port of Subs. Although a large lunch rush, they efficiently handled the traffic with minimal wait.

Love the staff here! I’ve been going here for three years, always really clean, sandwiches are great but service is so important and the crew has that handled! even know my name and sandwich by heart, I love that the staff is young but very polite and mature!

This place Is really clean. Friendly and prompt staff. I like that they have three choices for their sub sizes instead of just small and large. I had a small chicken griller it was tasty!

At first, I encountered this rude kid who would not let me leave because i was a dollar or so short on my order. i had $ 20 even and my order came up 20.75. around there. My boyfriend was two doors down with my family who was hungry for their subs. I told him i would be right back and he made me leave my sandwiches there. before i could tell him off a nice gentlemen offered to pay the rest of my bill. anyways, the manager came by our business and introduced herself and was very kind and compensated us with coupons and some treats. I thought that was nice. i give them four stars because i like their sandwiches despite what happened. they are fast, fresh and always seem to be better than subway when i compare. will be back and not overly packed where you have to wait forever.

Good fresh sandwich, friendly hardworking staff. I got a roast beef and turkey with provolone. A little light on the meat(1 layer, somewhat thin). Fresh toppings, not a top tier sandwich, but better than the competition

Oh Port of Subs how I’ve missed you since living in San Diego! I ordered the usual #1 on wheat(although the next best thing is on sourdough). My sandwich was delicious, made quickly, and did not disappoint. I know there are other sub shops with cheaper sandwiches, but I have to say you get what you pay for. Port of Subs is worth the extra buck!

Thank you Lakewood G. for helping me to get the right address for this store. This Port of Subs in located in the Smithridge shopping center across from Meadowood Mall. Honey Treat Yogurt is just a few doors down and Trader Joe’s is on the other side of this mall. So there are lots of reasons to find yourself here when you happen to be hungry. This branch is not as good as the Port of Subs on Keystone in terms of access and cleanliness, but since I was on this end of town and starving, I went here for my beloved Veggie sub sandwich. I got the small, priced at $ 3.99 and the sandwich was the same quality that I’ve come to expect due to patronizing my local branch. For those unfamiliar with the veggie sub, it includes mashed avocado and every veggie from olives and onions, to tomatoes, pickles and peppercinis that you can see in their veggie tray. I prefer to get my sandwich with mustard only instead of mayo or mustard-mayo mix because the avocado provides plenty of fat content, and I’ve never been crazy about eating mayo that’s been oxidized by sitting in an open bin for hours. Otherwise, the veggies and condiments were the fresh, good quality that I’ve come to expect from Port of Subs. My server over-vinegared and oiled the sandwich, so the edges of the bread got mushy. This is a frequent problem at Port of Subs in all locations. To prevent mushy bread, they need to be sure to put the filler all the way to the edge, and avoid going overboard when applying the liquid toppings. I’ll be watching their application of these more closely in the future. This branch is not quite as clean or as conveniently set up as the Keystone branch. Here, you walk in the door and then must cross to the back of this very small store to get in line. If there are more than 2 or 3 customers, crossing the store using their small walk area could be a problem. The store’s work area here is smaller than usual for Port of Subs, and to meet the ADA requirements for access, they’ve been forced to put in a convoluted ramp at the front of store entrance that further complicates your route getting inside this tiny store. Service was so-so. They made no effort to inform me of their specials. Right now you can get two 1-foot subs for just $ 10 total. This represents a great value because 6 hungry people can easily be satisfied by two big sub sandwiches. Nevertheless, it’s great to have an alternative to Jack and the box and other fast food places when you’re hungry on the go. Too bad Port of Subs doesn’t smarten up and put in some drive-thrus.
