After a terrible experience with 1800 Flowers in the past, so I wanted to use a local florist directly. I sent an email message through Sparks Florists Unilocal page and received a call within an hour ready to take my order.
The sales associate was very polite, and consulted with me about what type of arrangement would be appropriate, and stay within my budget. She also guaranteed the flowers would be delivered in just a few hours, and they were.
My concern with florists is that you order an arrangement off a website photo but the florists pulls a ‘switch and bate’ and sends wilting flowers or what ever they have left over in their stock that looks nothing like what you paid for.
I received photo of the arrangement from the recipient and the arrangement looked exactly as it was advertised on the website.

Sparks Florist is my go-​to florist whether I need holiday flowers or «random» flowers. (Aren’t «random» flowers the best?!) I’ve always been really happy with the arrangements the team makes me and how quickly they are able to get them done. I have gotten my boyfriend flowers for our house on more than than 3 occasions with the request that they look as «manly» as possible. They’ve done a good job incorporating orange and red to make these bouquets look manly yet still beautiful.
One other thing that I really like about this Florist is that although they are super «local» I can use them to send my mom flowers in Wisconsin. They put the order in and work with other florists to make it happen but they are still in charge of quality control and if something doesn’t go as planned they have their 100% satisfaction guarantee to take care of me.
I’ve gone to every location depending on where and how fast I needed the flowers (seriously I can be a terrible procrastinator) and the employees have been fabulous each time.

I walked in here to get my wife flowers for our 4 year anniversary to be delivered to her work.
I was greeted by a very nice woman willing to help me. I explained to her that my wife loves stargazer lilies and that I wanted a huge bouquet of them.
She said she didn’t think she had enough pink ones to fill the bouquet as large as I would like, so she asked if it was ok to use large white lilies as well. I agreed, and added a balloon as well.
I got to see these lilies after they were delivered and before they were in sight you could smell them. My wife was very happy.
The balloon kept floating for 8 days, And all the lilies kept opening throughout the 2 weeks. The flowers were very fresh, and lasted a very long time.
I highly recommend this place, and will use them in the future.

This is the worst flower shop in the Reno sparks area! I ordered balloons for my husband on valentines day to be delivered to his work by 5pm. At 5:30 they call me to say they could not find his work. I told them to deliver them to our home since he had already left work, they did. Except by the time they got to our house the balloons had popped! They told us that they would being new balloons first thing the next morning. By 12:30 pm that day still no balloons. So I called and canceled the order and was told that they would not charge me. Well, 3 days later I was charged for the balloons that we never received. Took actually going to the store and speaking with someone in person to get my money credited back to my account. The people working there do not know what they are doing. This place is not worth the time or money!!!

I worked with this particular location for the flowers for my wedding. Their wedding planner probably thought I was a bridezilla with how adamant I was about simple bouquets, but she was amazing with me! I only had 2 bridesmaids and we didn’t need centerpieces although we did end up with a few arrangements for the bar, gift table, and welcome table. She walked me (and my husband was there as well) through the entire bridal party (including, mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc.) and then worked with us on the arrangements (bar, gift table, and welcome table). They delivered the flowers on time (even after I called them a week before the wedding asking if they could deliver them earlier) and threw in the runner for us. The woman making the flowers told my mom she had put a few extras in my bouquet because she felt it was too simple and it would look a little better with a few more. I didn’t know this until a few days after my wedding and I was so grateful. My bouquet looked amazing and exactly what I had wanted, so I will be eternally grateful to this woman for knowing what would look good and using her better judgement.
My mother and my mother-​in-​law were equally impressed with all of the arrangements especially for the cost. They couldn’t believe how beautiful they were for the price. My husband teases me, but I felt some of the bigger arrangements had too many branches, but everyone liked them so it didn’t bother me at all. They were also wonderful about the return of the vases as well as getting the flowers home to us so we could enjoy them for a few extra days.
Considering I didn’t want to spring for flowers at first, I was totally glad that I did. I don’t think my wedding would have been complete if it weren’t for the amazing work that Sparks Florist did. The flowers definitely brought my wedding together and made the pictures look amazing. I will continue to use Sparks Florist for years to come!

Sparks Florist is more expensive than the online flower shops, but in my experience, it’s money well spent. If you’re going to spring for flowers, you want two things: 1) you want them to look good and 2) you want them to last. Neither of those has been a problem for me with the arrangements I’ve bought here.
We worked with this particular location for the flowers for our wedding. We were a little overwhelmed with all of the other planning, but their wedding planner walked us through the entire bridal party and then worked with us on the arrangements. They delivered the flowers on time and threw in the runner for us. My mom, who knows flowers much better than I do, was thrilled with her corsage and was impressed with all of the arrangements. My wife thought there were too many «branches,» but I don’t think she understands that a flower arrangement looks better with a little bit of background.
I was really surprised to see all of the negative reviews on here. I’ve never had a bad experience with Sparks Florist and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Spend the extra few bucks to see what you’re getting and get a quality product from a local business.

Just had my wedding and Sparks Florist provided the flowers, and all I have to say is WOW!!! The staff was very nice and knowledgable. The flower were fresh and vibrant. I could not have asked for more.

Really? I came here to get flowers for my girl and it was overpriced and not with a smile. It was like the girls wanted me to leave rather than help me pick out some flowers. Sorry I bothered to come in and ask if I could get some flowers. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because the flowers were nice that they put together, I just wish they greeted me with a smile and not a disgusted… oh another customer look.

I have never been treated more rudely in my life! I went there to get flowers for my wedding on three separate occasions and each time, hoping I would receive better service, I was let down. The young girls at the front desk either ignored me or were completely rude. Considering I wanted to give them a couple thousand dollars of business, I was completely taken back. I was so disappointed. I ended up using St. Ives florist, which was absolutely wonderful!

My boyfriend purchased for me the Simple Elegance Bouquet for my Birthday. He requested that they come as close to purple as possible, as that is my favorite color. They told him it would be a pinkish purple, sure no problem. He decided to purchase the Deluxe flowers at $ 70. (I’m not sure how much delivery or taxes were) The flowers I recieved were pretty (very minor ugly brown spots on the roses), the roses were pinkish sort of purplish, and the stargazer lilies were just plain white no color at all (no one informed my bf of this). Also, it came with 6 roses, 3 or 4 bloomed lilies, and the rest of the lilies were not bloomed (some still very green not even starting to bloom). Did not look even close to the picture online. So I love the gift from my boyfriend, I’m not in love with this florist. I wouldn’t have paid $ 70 for these… Then again, we don’t buy flowers very often, so maybe this is standard… I added a picture of the flowers I received, that way you don’t just take my word (I am inexperience in this area) and can decide for yourself.

The 2 stars are for my bouquet of purple hydrangeas. They sprayed something on it like shellac or hair spray that turned it half black in about 2 hours :(At least it looked ok for the ceremony, kind of. They were not too fresh and tight.
My daughter, who was my bride’s maid, her bouquet was quite nice. I would rate that 3 ½ stars. But mine, not too great.

I am updating my review because Sparks Florist contacted me about my complaints and sent me a new arrangement with extremely fresh flowers. It is obvious that customer satisfaction is important to them. As he pointed out, maintaining their standards is a little more difficult than usual on a major flower holiday like Mother’s Day, but they still want everything to be right and «made it right» with us.

I’m surprised to see a bad review on here! My husband is a sweet guy. But he is not imaginative at all. So he sends flowers for everything. Birthday, anniversary, valentines day and just because. He has used Sparks Florist for 5 years now and out of the bouquets I’ve received, only one was below par. The other 20 or so have been gorgeous! Well worth the money. I also have some awesome vases to reuse!
