Its been a few months, I don’t remember what I had to eat, but I remember my grandmother and I kindly being offered free roses on mother’s day from one of the special needs staff. This gesture, along with the kind woman at the register who offered many suggestions and a bright smile, will be what I remember most about this place, until we eat again.

The food was OK. Went there with my mother. She thought the herbal chicken sandwich she had was overwhelmed by whatever vinegary mustard that they used. I had Italian Dip. I thought it was pretty good. The place was quiet when we got there but then as people arrived(it was around 1 – 1:30PM) it got very noisy. Also, they apparently allow dogs inside which I don’t mind but some people may. I’d say a decent place for breakfast/lunch(all day) but a bit pricey. Oh, the coffee I had(Iced Mocha) was pretty good.

I call their Chanini sandwich my «soul mate» sandwich. I haven’t tried anything else because I’m not a cheater. The Chanini would know, and we are meant to be together forever. The whole place is cool. Just go. Find your soul mate sandwich and live happily ever after. The end.

We love Walden’s we drive across town to get their tasty chai lattes and delicious breakfast offerings. I usually go for the sausage fritatta, and my husband likes the power scramble. I love that their menu has some of the standard breakfast items, but the fritatta has roasted tomatoes and mushrooms and is really a treat. Very kid friendly with fun game and books. Our favorite is when the patio is open in the summer!

I really like the hot chocolate. It is rich, creamy and like no other kind of hot coco. Sooooo good! And I can’t forget the double choclolate muffin. It is a nice tasty muffin sprinkled with brown sugar. Yum!!!

Good food and coffees at a reasonable price. Staff is usually friendly, but today just wasn’t the case. The girl working up front this afternoon seemed reluctant to help us, hardly greeted my sister and I, then when we received our schmagel it had a tie from the bag the bagels came in. She did apologize when our order was«re-made» and brought back out without any capers on it, but whatever I’ll pick my battles. ** Just a tip if you’re ordering food here just double check your order. Maybe an off day, but in the dozen times I have been here when it’s busier on the weekends; I have received better service.

Holy smokes! THE best breakfast burrito I have ever had! This place was hopping on Sunday about lunch time but the coffee and breakfast items were what everyone seemed to be eating. How have I not been here? The vibe is awesome and the staff GREAT. Mia took our order and was as nice as can be. The breakfast burrito was remarkable. Sausage, avacado potatoes and other fixings wrapped in a spinach tortilla. They had 3 coffee selections at the help yourself coffee station. Everything was spot on from décor, ambiance, service and food. Very impressed!

I’ve been here a couple times and the food has always been good. Recently, I called ahead for a order to be picked up. There is a separate line for pick ups and it took 2 minutes even though there was a long line for ordering. That was convenient since I was in a hurry. Sandwiches were tasty even after a couple hours of riding in the car with them. I got a salad as a side and I forgot to check if there were utensils in the bag. So no napkins or fork. Not a big deal, but I’ll remember to check the bag or help myself to them before I dash out next time. I usually get black coffee when I come here so I don’t think I can say much about the drinks. The coffee is strong enough for me. I’ll be back to check out the latte art and the patio with my dog. Friendly staff!

I found this place while search for a place to live in my new city. Even though I landed in south Reno I keep driving here for their blended vanilla latte. It’s fantastic. I’ve been here six times now and it is always hopping. I just arrived on Sunday morning and 7:05 and there are already people here. Today I’m trying food. Inspired by some of the plates I saw being delivered yesterday.

I have lived two blocks from this spot for 15 years. On Friday mornings all those years ago my son and I would have hot chocolate and practice for his spelling test. I believe there have been some owner/management changes over the years and that’s a reason we stopped going in. But thanks Waldens for participating in Reno Bites week recently we have returned. Coffee service is quick and easy in the morning on the way to work. My chai lattes were delicious– thanks Stacia for the recommendation– they have a wonderful thick dense foam. We enjoy places that the pooch can join us at and Waldens has a nice back deck and a shared lower patio with Eclipse Pizza. So recently all three of us trotted off for a Saturday morning leisure breakfast. The menu has really expanded from simple pastry items that I remember to full egg scrambles, breakfast burritos and pancakes. Prices were reasonable around $ 10 range. Service was great, we ordered inside at the counter and took our number to the patio. The meal was brought out pipping hot. The patio is a nice spot to enjoy the beautiful fall weather we were having. I wished MBC could try this spot, but at 9am on a Saturday the inside seating was packed.

A homey coffee shop full of bustle! Studying at Walden’s was a great and comfortable experience. If you don’t mind background noise, this is a great place to study and get work done! The breakfast burrito was solid, and the salsa that it came with was so fresh! I also could not have asked for anything more of the iced coffee. Looking forward to go back to try some of the fancier drinks and other food options!

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before now. So good– Rosemary olive oil rubbed grilled sourdough on my tuna melt?!? Yes please! Delish! But note that if you are sitting on the rear patio around 1:30ish you will be joined by about 50 middle school kids gathering at the pizza place behind Waldens.

Walden’s has to be my all time favorite restaurant to relax and read a book or study or meet up with friends. Their drinks are consistently fantastic. I love the Vanilla Chai or the Pumpkin Chai, which tastes like pumpkin pie! As for the food, I’ve really enjoyed almost everything I have tried. The soups are always fresh and full of veggies and really good. This last time I went I got the Gigi’s Toastino– I loved every bite of that sandwich. It was like a grown up grilled cheese. In the mornings I generally get the MacWaldens sandwich(think Egg McMuffin from McDonalds, but with real food). Some of my favorites are not on the menu anymore. The Tahoe Joe is an excellent sandwich, but it also used to be on the menu as a salad that was also excellent, even though I’m generally not a salad lover. I’d bet they’d still make that salad, since the sandwich is very similar. And they have some beer and wine selections, which I appreciate when I’m feeling distracted and need to relax a little.

Oh Walden’s, you have my heart! This place has been around FOREVER, and there’s a reason… It’s amazing! The drinks have always been amazing! The food is to die for! The staff is super friendly! The board games are fun! This place rocks!!! The only problem… There are to many people!!! This place is always sooooo packed!(But really, s that a bad thing) on nice days, the patio is open, and lovely!!! So check it out! Ok, back to the coffee… The drinks are amazing! My favorite is the chai! And if you order«for here» you get a real coffee cup! Nice touch Walden’s! My hubby is obsessed with their mocha! It’s good! You should try it! And the food… Oooh the food… I am pretty sure I’ve ordered everything on their menu, it’s all good! I’ve never had a meal here that was not fresh, or tasty! My favorite is the parfait, it’s ridiculous! And so huge! I never finish it! But, Oooh, so good! The fruit is always fresh and ripe! But if it’s not breakfast time… The turkey sandwich on sourdough, or the meatball are my favorites! If you are searching for a solid locals coffee joint, this is your place!

Oh my! I had an amazing experience at Walden’s! I’ve been in here three times before. The first time was for an open mic, the second was for a cup of coffee and the third for a breakfast burrito. All those times were wonderful as well and this time was notably great. From stepping in the door, all the tables are bussed and the staff is smiling from behind the counter. I was greated by two gentlemen working away. The one checking me out at the register was so nice and complementary. The other who made the drink came out later and asked me what I thought of my drink. I just felt so welcomed and comfortable there. I would definitely go back here for a cup of coffee or a snack!!!

Walden’s is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast, enjoy my ice tea, and work! Their scrambles are amazing! The staff is friendly! Did I mention the sticky buns? The sticky buns are out of this world! They are supportive of local artists and always have the artwork on display! Do you have kids? They have games! Do you like sitting outside? They’ve got that too! As you can see I love Walden’s! That should be a sticker!

Great service! You order at the counter. They have a menu with food and coffee and non coffee items. I ordered a chai tea latte, and a bagel, lightly toasted with creAm cheese. You pick your own table, sit and they give you a number. They bring everything to your table. My chai tea was SO good! Perfect temperature, in a very big mug, topped with cinnamon. It was so creamy and delicious I was sad when it was gone! My bagel was perfectly toasted, with plenty of cream cheese! This was my first time here and it was a very pleasant experience! I wish it was closer to the south side of town(where I live) because I would go much more often! But, it was so good I’ll make the drive to go back! Loved it! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out like I was! Give it a try! Especially if you like chai tea!
