Came in today for a quick bite and some wine, found out that they were doing sparkling Sunday’s! What the!!! $ 20.00 for bottomless sparklers! Shut the front door! Sparkling wine, basil olive oil with peach white balsamic! Delicious! This one I had, but they have a ton of different combinations… «We olive» more like«WEAWESOME»!! Alaina, you rocked it. Amazing food, amazing sparklers and AMAZINGSERVICE! Thank you for making this Sunday! The best :)

We Olive is great for girls night or date night or any fun occasion. I love the décor and menu. Sitting out on the patio is nice if the cigar place doesn’t have customers smoking outside. They have great specials each day of the week and their olive oils and balsamics are delicious! You can sample them anytime. I enjoy the perk of being a loyalty customer and getting points for every purchase I make. It’s nice to get rewarded for being a customer. I recommend the almonds as a delicious snack!

Five stars due to very interesting wine selection from vineyards near(ish) to Reno. Specializing in El Dorado/Sierra Foothills, Paso Robles, and Mendocino wines that don’t get much attention but are excellent areas with very different climates producing a wealth of wines. Also had some Pacific Northwest wines during our visit. Was surprised how big their menu was. Didn’t try anything but what came out looked good. It would be a nice place for a tapas style dinner or light meal. The only bummer is it is in a strip mall. It is decorated well and is inviting but that’s an uphill battle compared to a stand-alone building with character like many in downtown and midtown Reno which tend to get my small food and drink budget. That being said if I lived in the area I’d be willing to come back more often.

Hubby and I had the best afternoon at We Olive & Wine Bar yesterday! We went in for Olive Oil and Vinegar after our first visit being the We Olive Elite event. I wanted to show hubby all of the selections available. One of the things I love about this store/bar is that they have samples of everything! When I say everything that means, the Olive Oils, Balsamic, Jams, Spreads which I really appreciate when shopping so I know I am buying something I really like. They are more than happy to educate you by taking you on a taste test… or you can shop on your own. The owner is so nice and is really cool about making you feel comfortable if you are not an Olive Oil PHD(you will be when you leave). After selecting our purchases, we decided to have lunch… so glad we did. I had already experienced their deliciousness but hubby had not and I really wanted him to try. We started off with a glass of McBride Chardonnay. They have a great wine list with many of them being from small vineyards, that you might not get to try elsewhere. We ended up sharing Prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese, stuffed peppadews, and duck flat-bread. EVERYTHING came out quickly and loaded with fresh ingredients. They incorporate their oils and balsamics into everything and the tastes are fabulous. The environment is intimate. The front of the store is the shop and the bar is in the back, with a long bar and about 6 – 8 tables with a small fireplace. Between the fireplace warm colors and the jazz playing it is really a cool atmosphere. Everyone that works there is really good about making suggestions on wine and the food. Hubby said this was probably one of his favorite places to spend time in Reno… and that’s saying something because he is picky ;-) We loved this place and I am going back to buy some presents for friends because they will ship and I think these would make unique gifts for our foodie friends. I want to go back on a Wednesday night because I know they have a wine special for happy hour… I need to get more information. We will definitely be making this a new stop for our date nights!

I love the olive oil and the balsamic but what really love is the duck confit flatbread and the peppadews. The menu is delicious and surprising, it can really provide a better idea of how to work with oils.

Just by chance my cousin and I found this place after stopping by Bed bath and beyond. Had to go check it out be for the BIG Unilocal event :) The place is cozy and just what I enjoy. The lady that was working walked us around and told us all about the oils that are their best sellers and what to cook with them. So looking forward to the Unilocal Event

A group of us came for my birthday the other night and fell in love with We Olive. Plusses: Great wine list. We tried the Black Bubbles Syrah which was amazing. I was bummed to find out they didn’t have any left for purchasing. Delicious eats. We had a cheese plate and the hummus. Outdoor seating — Great in the summer evenings. Wonderful service — Jordan was an excellent server, and they even went to get a new propane tank for the heater since there wasn’t room inside for our party. Minus: Small interior space. We had to sit outside since there was no room left inside. Overall, it’s a wonderful addition to the shopping center, and perfect for grabbing a glass of wine before hitting Nordstroms Rack. Also, you can’t beat ½ price wine glasses on Wednesday or 20% off your order during your first visit with Unilocal check-in.

I can’t even begin to explain how impressed I was with this place! Walking in, you are greeted by a friendly knowledgeable staff that not only makes you feel welcome, but knows exactly what they’re selling! First step in the door, I felt right at home. From the astetically pleasing décor, to the roomy back home feel, I couldn’t get enough whether it was the beautiful olive oil bar, or the exquisite, unique and carefully picked wine selection! The owner Alysia, is quite the breath of fresh air, because not only does she know how to beautifully decorate a place that can be a hang out or a retail shop, but she is knowledgeable of her brand and obviously knows what it takes to make an amazing experience; especially for someone who would have normally not have been the ideal client. I’m 100% happy, and sold!

Had a private event here with the Chamber PACE Leadership program facilitated by Breakthrough Training. The outside patio was perfect for our group. The food is really good along with the drinks and the great service.

Stopped by We Olive after a trip to World Market. I wanted to check it out. It’s cool that you can sample the olive oils and vinegars with little pieces of bread. I enjoyed a glass of Merlot while I sampled, then read my magazine. The place is boutique, meets olive oil shop, meets wine bar. They even have small plates. I didn’t try the food, but the wine was delicious. A little pricey, but it must have been happy hour because it was two dollars less than the menu price. I would love to get a group of girls together to enjoy a bottle of wine and some hummus. The girl behind the bar was very sweet and attentive. It’s a neat place, very original for Reno.

My server was very sweet. He was covering for another server after having worked the night before, but didn’t complain. He hooked me up with yummy substitutes on the tapas plate. I really liked this place!

I went here for a Soroptimist event and was pleasantly surprised. We tasted four different foods from the menu with wine pairings. The flatbread pizza and hummus were delicious! The owner and her staff were lovely! One server suggested we dip our piece of dark chocolate in some blood orange olive oil. Oh my! It was fabulous! I really enjoyed the quaintness of the place and all of the fun gifts you can buy there. I bought a jar of balsamic mustard that is fantastic. I will definitely be buying more! My only complaint was the price of the wines. The cheapest Chardonnay was $ 12. It would be nice to have a more affordable option. I very much look forward to having a shopping trip at Nordstrom Rack and then stopping in for some wine and an appetizer!

What a great find this was. There tonight for the Soroptimist Wine & Food Pairing. It was done so nicely. Instead of just giving you 4 «tastes» of wine and telling you what foods it goes best with, they provided plates and put out the food tastes buffet style, then you went to your table and your wine was delivered along with an explanation of the wine. There were 4 bottles of wine(see photo for menu and pairings) and 4 bites to eat. It was done right! I’ve been by this place so many times, I never knew it was more than just an oilive oil tasting shop. There are olive oils to taste and buy, some gourmet foods, a bar and food. They actually serve food at the bar… totally unexpected. Jennifer B did a great job finding this place and arranging this event. Looking forward to my next shopping trip… World Market(because there is always something there that you can’t live without), Bed Bath & Beyond and then a glass of wine and a light lunch at We Olive.

Two Olives walk into a bar. The bartender slides over a bowl of bar nuts and asks…“What’ll you have?“ One olive says to the other. «What’s with this guy, can’t he see that I’m stuffed?» We finally got around to getting down here. We were in the neighborhood a little early for dinner with friends and decided to check them out. I was still«stuffed» from sushi earlier in the day so I couldn’t go hog wild on trying everything that looked good. But the guy encouraged me enough to try one or two things. I really want a good olive oil for my salads at work… but I just couldn’t decide. But I DID decide on a great balsamic. It was on sale(of course) and now I have a bottle to come back and get refilled for a lower price! Sweet! Can’t wait to come back and try the food service and see just what they offer.

Love this place!!! I’ve been wanting to stop in here for a while and got the chance to today. It is a quaint little shop. I tried a couple different samples and today settled on a bottle of blood orange olive oil and a bottle of mission fig balsamic vinegar. I loved that I could actually mix the two in the store and taste it to see how it was. YUM, I just got a great new salad dressing! I will definitely be shopping here again.

What a great little find! The olive oil and vinegars were delicious. I had an incredible glass of wine after shopping and it prepared me to take on the next chores of World Market and Bed, Bath, and Beyond comprehension! Excellent selection of olives and tapenades. Can’t wait to come back for some charcuterie and cheese with the hubby. Check out the wine Wednesday deals :)

I am liking this place! Great concept, not necessarily new, but definitely utilized ideas from others before them and then implemented ideas I felt would be great improvements from those places. Being a huge olive lover, I truly enjoyed seeing the selection available; also, they have a nice choice of jams, jellies, and of course olive oils and vinegars. Oh, then something crazy happened and they have beer and wine(what?)! So, onto that oil and vinegar menu; they are actually paired and well paired. We went with the blackberry balsamic vinegar and the garlic olive oil. I may be able to say a lot of things but I’m sticking with wow! So Dame good(no not a typo). Back to the beer and wine; its even the good stuff! Good beer, both on tap and in the bottle and some really good wine(the red blend was amazing)! I still need to hit on the cheese and charcuterie! While I admit we didn’t partake, it sounded amazing and we will return to partake. Cheese, wine, beer, olives, charcuterie? Oh yeah! That is definitely our thing!!! We will return and with our appetites!

I was lucky enough to be included in this brand new establishment’s ribbon cutting event yesterday. It is a beautiful place and at a great convenient location. The front area has a selection of food and unique gifts with an olive oil tasting bar. The back is an intimate wine bar with small plates that are delicious. They get their cheese from Wedge and other items from Reno Provisions so they believe in keeping it local. They also have a loyalty program that is cumulative on purchases: spend $ 250 and receive $ 20. This is a great place to go shopping for a foodie, a date night with your special someone or a place to enjoy wine with your girlfriends. I can’t wait to go back next weekend!

I am so excited to review this place. My husband and I went for dinner last night and had an amazing experience. They JUST opened, it’s exciting to go to a place that is only a couple of weeks old. This is a pretty unique place. First, it’s an olive oil store. They have amazing craft products and you can sample everything. In the back, there’s a wine bar. They only purchase wine from small boutique wineries. Don’t expect to find any major labels on the menu. Since you’re likely to encounter beverages you haven’t experienced, the serve your selection by the«taste» the glass, or the bottle. I call that a win-win, because I enjoy going on a wine flight via tastes(because I still want to be able to walk out of the establishment when it’s all said and done). Let’s get to the food, because that’s what brought me there. My husband was really eager to check this place out and in the back there is a small dining area. It’s quaint, probably only about 10 tables– seating for 50 probably(two-tops, 4-tops, I think an 8-top was the largest). I really appreciated the intimate feeling for a Valentine’s night dinner. The ambiance is tasteful, music, perfect lighting, candles on the tables, and calm, very calm. There was a special with a bottle of sparkling wine and either a cheese plate or a «sweets and treats» plate for $ 50, so we got a bottle and concluded with a sweets plate. For a couple of our glasses, they enhanced our sparkling wine with various drops of olive oil and it turned into a sangria tasting beverage and aside from my mind being blown(I’ve never considered putting oil in a drink) I was taken back by how delicious it was. We ordered all over the menu, green olives, panini, kale salad, flatbreads. ALL of the food was to die for. It was perfectly crafted and prepared. What’s super cool, is they make their food with the products that they sell. So if you like it, they are really transparent about the ingredients and preparation so that you could go home and duplicate if your heart desired. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomaches and about half of everything is in my fridge. THISPLACEWASAMAZING. Appetizer, a bottle of wine, an extra glass of wine, two entrees, and a desert plate = $ 83. I will be back. Fighting the urge to go back tonight actually.
