Prompt service. Phở was good, but the meat was very fatty. There was also very little meat in the phở.

Moved to Renton Highlands for 6 years, and we(my 9 yrs old daugher and I) stopped by and gave it a try. I ordered the typical Phở with rare beef, tendon and meat ball while my daughter ordered the chicken phở. We were both delighted and surprised how delicious the phở tasted. You know it’s pretty authentic phở when they served you Ngo Gai(sawtooth herb) in addition to the usual basil and bean sprouts. Not a single Phở place in the entire Puget Sound would serve you that herb. I’ve been to a couple in Southern Cal. Not sure why some thought the broth was bland. Granted that the facility might not be top notch. It is what it is. This is what I considered somewhat like a hole in the wall place. You come and enjoy the great food. If you want the ambiance and ok food, there’s always other places you can patronage. What surprised me was their weekend special dishes that they don’t advertise on the menu. Went back on the second day and ordered the Anchovies Bun… YUM. My wife ordered the Free Range Chicken Hainan Rice, and she thought it was as authentic as it can get. Bear in mind that my wife’s family was from Hainan originally. I can sympathize with some thinking they don’t get the services. I find this quite common in family run business. That’s unfortunate but I hope they will change. It doesn’t bother me a bit. I also had tried Kim Phuong and Saigon Sunset. Neither one holds up to this place’s phở.

They make the best in the area by far and even make my phở a little different than most. Very nice and always clean with a positive staff!!!

This place has really good vermicelli noodles, it’s the only dish I’ve tried at this place. The meat is flavorful, lots of noodles, and fresh veggies as well.

I’ve even eating Phở for about 20 years now. I am always on the look out for new phở restaurants or restaurants I have yet to try. I’ve read previous reviews about the owners providing horrible customer service, but what everyone needs to realize is that, the owners are wonderful people. They have a sense of humor and they know how to make a bad ass bowl of phở. Not to mention that this is Doug Baldwin’s favorite phở restaurant. The prices are unbeatable and appetizers are on point. Phở Shizzle is easily my favorite phở restaurant, and made it my home. Ask for Mickey!

Love this place. I have been here several times and finally reviewed it. I usually get the spicy teriyaki with salad. It is some of the best around. The owners are super friendly! Oh… don’t forget to try the iced coffee!

Love this place! The food is consistantly good. The Phở is always spot on and so is the service. I would have given it 5 stars but the bathrooms could consistantly be clean also. Other than that, the place is worth the visit!

I don’t know why this place have an average rating of 3.5 stars. I decided to try this place and oh boy, worse experience I ever have. My phở was brought out with a piece of hair that look like a nose hair. I called them over right away to show it to them and didn’t have a chance to take a picture of that. They did gave me a new one. But they didn’t give me more basil leaves and lime since it is all in the first bowl. there are dirty stuffs around the bowl and oily –I was able to take pictures of that. Soup tasted like they use a lot of MSG. Not pleasant at all.

Quick fix for $ 6. On the weekend they have bun bo hue. If I’m lazy to cook and doesn’t wanna think what to eat, I’ll just come here and order phở. Cos: very small place and you can hear the kitchen cooking. Worst when they make bubble tea with the machine. It is soooo loud.

The food is not bad however I think their service needs improvement. Not friendly at all! When they realized they made a mistake, they ignore it and didn’t even say sorry! This is something I don’t like at all. Wouldn’t come back again! Oops I wanna add something new, when I came home with my to go box! I found they even game me less things as I ordered!

My second time here, and I’m in love. This is my new favorite phở place. I like their broth because it’s just right, not too overpowering, and not too bland, like most places. Their condiments were fresh! That’s a first, since the last phở that I went to gave me wilted basil, practically orange and soft bean sprouts, and absolutely old lime. So Phở Shizzle is my new favorite phở spot, and my ultra picky grandma liked it, so that right there, sealed the deal.

I would give this place a lower rating, however I was satisfied with the food and the service. The staff was very polite and pleasant, and the food was quick to be served and also tasted good. A fellow customer also had forgotten his wallet during his visit and I overheard the staff kindly tell him that he could finish his food and then leave to look for his wallet and come back later. A very sweet and genuine action on their part. HOWEVER, my huge problem with this restaurant is the condition of the facility. The front room where the food is served is quite cluttered, but I would not say dirty. My main concern is the back room where the food is stored. I excused myself to the restroom and couldn’t help but notice what seemed to be a second bathroom across the hall. I took a gander into this«bathroom» and quickly noticed that this room was used as a storage room for various bottled sauces, jarred cooking items and such. These items were stored among bleach and cleaning supplies. Most worrisome was the fact that all the food and cleaning supplies were stored directly next to an EXTREMELY dirty, disgusting, and CLOGGED toilet with it’s lid open! That is a serious health hazard being that food items were stored less than a foot away. A can of sauce was resting on the back of the toilet even! I will attach pictures if possible.

I am not going to lie, we hesitated for a while before coming. But after seeing Doug Baldwin’s frequent shout out to them, and one of our fave phở establishment was a let down, we finally gave in. 100% authentic, huge portions and reasonable price. Friendly service and almost make you feel as if you’re at family’s house. We had the short ribs rice and special phở, it was really flavorful and they were not cheap on the portion. You can tell their food is on point, based on their nuoc cham(fish sauce), it was not watered down and I definitely got more than 3 little pieces of meatballs and short ribs. Thumbs up for this place. Don’t be like me, come see for yourself. It’s a gem in the Renton Highlands. Did I mention that it’s reasonable price with huge portion? If you read this far, what are you waiting for? Go… now.

This was a family great family run and family oriented restaurant. I think 3 generations of the family were there working. They had a big Buddha shrine with incense and all! I really liked their teriyaki. The restaurant is a Vietnamese phở restaurant so they have like 20 different combinations of meat phở. They also have Thai noodle dishes, fried rice, and Japanese teriyaki. I loved that the rice was sticky and long grain rice, the type you would expect to come with a Thai curry. Very fragrant and easy to eat with chopsticks. The teriyaki itself had less of a glaze than usual– you tasted more of the chicken than you did the sauce. I really liked that! It also wasn’t charred with black edges. Nobody likes that. Clearly this stuff is made to order. Portions were huge and the full sized teriyaki was only 5.99, while the lunch teriyaki bowl was a dollar less.

Visited this place after a hard gym session with an empty stomach, craving everything and anything. I can agree with other Unilocalers that the food here is delicious. The only thing that threw me off was the lady who served us. I wasn’t sure if she was having a bad day, or if our demeanor just didn’t appeal to her(we were wearing workout attire), but I just felt like she was rude. She came to our table and asked us, «What do you want to order?» I ended up getting the #47 — It was grilled chicken, shrimp and a spring roll with vermicelli. As I was saying that, her response was, «uh huh, okay… now how about you?» as she grabbed the menu out of my hands and turned to my friend. OHHHECKNOLOL. Then I grabbed the menu back from her and proceeded to order an avocado bubble tea. She didn’t seem phased. No apology or anything(RUDE). I just thought it was hilarious that she was only nice to us after the fact that we paid. I mean, I knew we looked like hobos in our sweaty gym attire, but dang. Her mood changed faster than a light switch! The bubble tea was good; the tapioca in the bubble tea was very soft and chewy. The vermicelli bowl was also delicious. the chicken was marinated very well and was not dry at all. I actually finished the whole bowl! The food was actually good, thats the sad thing about it. I would love to come back, but I just felt really uncomfortable with how she treated us.

Being a Vietnamese, I have very high expectations when I am eating out at a Vietnamese restaurant. I’ve been here two times and both experiences were great! The owners are very friendly. I ordered their beef short rib plate. The beef was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I even asked why they named their business«Phở Shizzle,» owner said it was his daughters idea.
