The milk tea is pretty watered down. The boba is also low quality at times. Not my favorite place for boba tea

We drive 20 minutes nearly every weekend to visit this boba shop. There are very few boba places in DFW. So we make sure to get a bulk order in to bring some back for our friends. There are lactose free options(they can use soy milk). Not really a place to hang out in(not many seats and it gets really busy on some nights). If you even slightly like boba, you have to come try it.

This was one of my favorite places to go to when I went to undergrad at UT Dallas. I always got the jasmine green tea with tapioca. I like that you can customize the ice level and sweetness. However, over the years, the drink quality has deteriorated. Additionally, their restroom is never in proper order. Over the past few years, every time I have visited, the restroom has been«out of order». In fact, when I visited on Dec 31st, it smelled like a toilet overflowed in the shop. Literally, it smelled like feces there. The seating is also limited there. Overall, I think it’s a decent tapioca place-depending on your patience level and sense of adventure.

My go-to place for boba! I mainly order the thai tea with boba or the strawberry banana smoothie with boba. I heard they are relocating next door, which is exciting since there will be more room to sit and hangout! Definitely recommend Boba Latte is you’re in the area. Took one star off because the tapioca balls can be a hit or miss.

Love coming here. They never take long for my drinks. I meant to order the matcha green tea boba but the wrong one was made. So they made me a new one and just gave me the one they messed up anyways. Very nice customer service here every time I come up here.

I really wanted to like this more but I’ve had better. I ordered the taro milk tea with boba. When I got it, the color was closer to original. But maybe they don’t all have to be lilac colored, I thought. I took a sip and it tasted like the powder mix hadn’t dissolved quite right. It was also like the taro had been diluted with something else. Maybe they got my order wrong and tried to correct it or maybe their taro isn’t great. Either way I’ll probably not come back unless I’m desperate for boba, any boba.

Ordered milk tea with pudding and tapioca. Very very disappointed with the quality, the tapioca does not have the chewy consistency. Tastes like left over tapioca. I’m not from here but driving around the area this seems to be the only option! Hopefully this is a fluke. Way too much ice almost like you get a few sips and your out.

oh god. where do i even begin? this place made the worst bubble tea i’ve ever had for the first time in five years. the place smells awful — if i had to describe it, it smells sour. i don’t know why it smells that way or what they’re making back there to make it smell like that, but as soon as i walked in and caught a whiff, i questioned what they were putting in my bubble tea. but, i stuck it out, thinking that maybe — just maybe — my drink would be okay. i was completely wrong. i had the almond milk tea, which was absolutely gross. not only was it super super sweet, but it also had a lot of this weird powdery stuff(and i mean a LOT) floating in it that settled on the bottom, so i feel like they pretty much just dumped the whole bag of powdered almond milk in one cup. i couldn’t bear to even finish half of it. definitely a very disappointed(and disgusted) customer. needless to say, i will never be back here. although i do want to try their hong kong milk tea, i’m quite certain i can get better quality elsewhere(and have most likely tasted better anyway). this place’s bubble tea was just super repulsive, take your money elsewhere.

Get the Hong Kong Milk Tea, half sweet. Just do it. You’ll realize how tea-ey and complex milk tea can actually be, because Hong Kong style means its brewed stronger and more flavorful. With a slight tinge of the bitterness and myriad flavorings of actual tea, and silky slight sweetness, just get it next time you come in to Boba Latte. It’s so good! You can see them make the legit tea in a huge steaming pot in the back and they actually prepare the tea the legit way, straining and pulling it several times like tradition demands. The boba here are also of good texture, not too mushy like lots of other places make it. I used to like Tapioca House but have recently changed my preference to Boba Latte after Tap House got the case of the mushy bubbles. Make sure you get and use the FiveStars reward card, you get a free drink after 10 drinks here! The only reasons why they don’t get 5 stars is because the place smells really oddly of papaya/garbage/some funky air freshener they should change out. Also, depending on who’s working in the back that day, the drinks can be inconsistent in terms of sweetness, I’ve had a «half sweet» drink come out super syrupy before.

I used to love this place, but it seems like lately there’s all new people. My last visit here thy didn’t have my usual watermelon and my wife’s cantaloupe slush was just ice. This visit was much better, but my watermelon slush barely had any watermelon in it. I saw them put in two small pieces into the blender and fill the rest of the space up with ice. I agree with a previous Unilocaler and note sometimes the interior smells terrible. It’s almost like a weird mix of cleaning products and a public restroom.

I have been here three times since my first visit to Texas. First time i had the famous hong kong milk tea. It was as expected; a lot of creamer and concentrated black tea. Second time was a month and half later. This time i had passion fruit tea half ice half sugar. It was still very sweet. They gave me more ice than regular drinks. Third time i called in the order for total of 7 drinks. The phone call lasted 15 mins because the order taker was unable to comprehend me and what i thought was simplified as much as possible. Upon arrival we saw a «no lychee» sign and i was irritated that the girl failed to inform me. Also, they messed up on the ice again. I dont ever ask to come here unless i was dragged here or if the family wants it.

I’ve had boba from a million different places but this is hands down the best! They are always consistent and friendly that’s something that’s very important to me. My favorite is the new york cheesecake smoothie with coffee jelly and if I could I would drink it everyday… by the gallon if possible.

What happened to you, Boba Latte?! This used to be one of my favorite bubble tea places ever because they have HK milk tea. On my most recent visit, I got my usual and the boba was too soft/almost mushy. I was so sad, I honestly don’t even remember how the tea tasted. I hope it was a fluke!

This used to be my go-to boba place. It’s not anymore. Why? Well, I came here so many times long time ago but I was disappointed the few times I was there and my sister agreed. They were always running out of the«mango» flavored tea. Whenever my sister ordered it, they never had it so she had to choose something else. Another time, we walked in, they ran out of boba. Then we walked in another time, they were out of cups. They were out of CUPS and boba(not at the same time), and that was completely strange to me. That’s like walking into a Japanese restaurant and them telling you that they’re out of fish. What in the world? It wasn’t just the preparation of this place, but it is also that some of their drinks and their smoothies were very powdery and not prepared well. We were able to taste and see the powder. We decided to stop going there and go back to the first place we got boba – Tapioca House. The one thing I do like about this place is that they provide 90’s snacks such as bons bons and sour straws. I still sometimes come here for thai tea(slighty sweet, though) and their snacks… Or sometimes when it’s convenient(it’s right next to First Chinese BBQ). Customer service: It’s not that great. They take your drink order and call it out to you, very simple. However, this place doesn’t seem very happy when customers walk in. You can tell that the employees see each other as great friends or are like«family,» because they tend to talk to each other a lot and play around, and not acknowledge or pay much attention to the customers. I don’t know if there’s a lot of turn-over here, but sometimes when I come back, there are employees there I have never seen before and you can definitely tell that they’re in training and are slightly confused about what they’re doing). This place is all due to preference. I think this place would be great for college students to hang out, etc. I’m a little more traditional, so I like going to Tapioca house for my boba.

Can’t believe I have never reviewed this place! I love coming here for their teas! My favorite is probably the lychee black tea, with or without milk. Their teas are on the stronger side so unless you like that really floral taste then this might not be for you but on the good note, it doesn’t taste like water after about 10mins of sitting out(which is what I hate about Fat Straws). Although they put a good bit of ice in their drinks, it just balances out as you drink it rather than completely water down. Their avocado smoothie is also very good and made with fresh avocados. The papaya smoothie is also delicious if you’re into that. The jasmine milk tea is one of the better ones I’ve had around Dallas. Their thai tea hasn’t been good lately though, tastes really powdery! I’m not sure what happened because this used to be quite good, please go back to brewing actual Thai Tea! Overall, I really like this place and I’m sad it’s so far from me! I’ll keep coming for my lychee teas when I get the chance! However, it is a bit embarrassing recommending this place to friends then having them order Thai Tea and it tasting awful so I hope they fix that!

I am torn with this review because I really enjoyed my iced white mocha with boba but the overall café experience was lacking. When we walked into the café my friend and I were hit with a disgusting smell. Once we got used to it, ew, we ordered and our drinks arrived within five minutes. I ordered the largest size and it still cost me less than an iced white mocha at Starbucks. I want to give them another chance because I really enjoyed the coffee.

I knew this was Alison L’s favorite boba place, so I probably wasn’t going to dislike anything. I just wasn’t expecting my semi-sweet Black Milk Tea to be the best boba I’ve ever had. I truly enjoy a double-take moment. And I actually do know more about rocket science than good boba, but I think this place nails it: I was aware of each distinct component — pungent tea, creamy milk, chewy tapioca — but it was the sum of these parts that struck me as reaching for the stars, and finding the Milky Way. I seriously exclaimed, «Damn!» The people behind the counter looked at me funny. If life can sometimes feel like discordant notes, Boba Latte is a major ninth. Play it, Sam. That’s as good as it gets.

Been going here for years! One of my favorite boba place in Richardson. Sucks that its a pretty small store. Can’t really hang out around here with friends. It’s more of a pick-up-and-go place for your drinks. My sisters and I always get either the smoothie or milk tea here. The smoothies are perfectly blended here with no chunks or inconsistency, and the milk tea is always the right amount of sweetness. Plus their tapioca balls are well cooked, no hard center, no sliminess on the outside Definitely come here before the crowd on weekend’s night since it can get pretty busy. Also get one of the five star card to rack up points for a free drink!

Boba latte has been here for a while and it stands as the default dessert/boba place. Environment: the place is super small, so expect to go in and out. It does get crowded their quite often, and there are not enough seats. Typically Asians(generally) like to loiter and enjoy each other’s company and conversations, however Boba Latte is not the ideal place to go mainly because it’s not big enough(Asians also travel in packs lol). They play upbeat music, and their décor is contemporary. Boba & Drinks: I have a regulate/default drink that I get here– Taro Milk Tea with lychee jelly. I really enjoy the jellys that they have here, the boba is okay, not the best I’ve ever had; but satisfactory. I would say that my drink tends to be somewhat powdery and could be overwhelming sometimes when drinkning it for long periods of time. My sister gets the HK milk tea(sometimes its not sweet enough) and I’ve also tried the Jasmine Milk Tea which is pretty good here. Service: for the longest time I knew like everyone who worked here(so this is kinda subjective) but they are all very young, and patient; ready to take your order. They also have a ‘stars’ system where if you buy 10 drinks the next one is free . Overall, I would recommend this place, if you’re just coming for boba and getting it for togo!

Little boba shop next to first Chinese bbq. Convenient. But why does this place smells like sewer every time I walk in here. It’s so dark and sketchy in here. I usually just order and hurry and leave. I hate staying here. Hate the environment. Last time I tried the hot green tea and it is way too sweet. The flavor is there but it is way too sweet. I don’t think I will come back here again by myself.
