Goat Biryani: D That’s what I was told to try here and wasn’t disappointed. Its better to order on phone and get it to-go as the restaurant itself is very small and being a part of the IndoPak supermarket, seating is less and also there is always a huge crowd to order. So if you want to go there directly and then order or dine-in, be prepared to wait in queue for 10 – 20 mins at least. The Goat Biryani is the standout item so far that I have eaten there. Only for the $ 7 it is like great food for a bargain. The spices are to the right amount and the goat was tender as well. The Chicken Biryani — $ 4 is ordinary. The taste is okay. Same with the fish biryani. I guess they use the same rice that is cooked for Chicken biryani with Fish. The thali served was good as well. The Goat curry had a good taste and definitely worth going back again. The pakoras were good but were cold and hence I would take them to-go and reheat. Samosa was good as well. Overall so far only the Chicken and Fish Biryani’s were not great. Rest all of the stuff seemed more than good. They have a lot of other items on the menu which I need to try but the Goat Biryani so far has been the winner and not allowed me to try those. For all those non-veg lovers — this place truly is like finding gold in desert! The fried snack items are not freshly prepared after 8 so only the ones available are served. You won’t be able to order them if those are already finished.

Indo Pak café is a small little café inside the supermarket and to the left side with tons of very cheap food! The chicken biryani is 4 bucks for tons of rice, a decent amount of bone in chicken for the price and it comes with some lettuce leaves on the side as well. There’s a bunch of samosas, chicken lolypop, wings, and some other pastry items up front as well that range from 33 cents to a dollar fifty each which is a great addition to any meal. Haven’t tried any of the other dishes but all my coworkers enjoyed their orders as well. Definitely good food at a great price and I would definitely come back!

This place is truly a hidden gem. I love the grill combo and chicken biriani. They are very well balanced and flavorful. For the price this is a great deal! A+

Love this place to pieces and sorely addicted to their vegetable samosas. I’m currently eating vegetarian so coming here is a great addition to the raw foods I generally eat. The bhindi masala is pretty good but if you don’t eat it when it’s fresh the okra gets mushy. That’s my only complaint. The food here is awesome and the size portions are SO big and price friendly.

I just love indo pak! Cheap, good food and large portions what else can you want?! Experience: Overall, I had a great experience at indo pak. This was probably my 10th time here and I love It! The café is pretty sketchy looking(I come here pretty much only for the café, not to shop) but even though it looks kinda uneasy, the food is delicious and they get it out pretty fast. The people working there are pretty cool, and seem like they’re doing their job well. Food: I typically always get the chicken burani, it is only $ 3.49! for a whole box of food that can fill you up and even enough food for lunch tomorrow! The food is delicious! anything that you get will probably be really good. It is authentic Indian food, and they serve it in large portions! Surprisingly, it is not as spicy as other Indian foods that I’ve tried. Service: service was okay, it’s pretty much self-serve. but the people who take your order are generally really nice and patient. Overall, if you need some good, cheap, and well-portioned food, come to indo pak!

I’ve been getting Chicken Biryani from this place for many years since it was priced $ 1.99. Used to be delicious. Sadly, It’s not the case anymore. It looks like Mexicans are now the cooks here. They don’t know the difference between a Biryani and Chicken fried rice. Someone has to show them how to make a real Biryani. It’s a Muslim good and can be done best by a Muslim cook. Period. I guess I’ve just bought my last Biryani here. No more. There are other places nearby that are worth trying.

I love Indo-Pak. I use to eat here at least 3 – 4 times per week. The food is cheap, hot, tasty and fast. My favorites are the chicken biryani, chicken korma, patties and bhindi(okra). Their Karachi Burger is very good.

My moms actually suggested this place to me. The owners are good friends witth my parents so that is probably the reason why my moms knows about this place. We ordered the chicken curry and chicken biryiani with an order of the naan bread. Chicken Curry — Extremely creamy with robust flavors. The curry and spices are bold and flavorful. Top this over some rice and it’s game over to your summer time abs. chicken biryiani — pretty much indian fried rice. The portion is very good with nice chunks of bone-in chicken pieces in it. Naan bread — i’m a huge sucker of carbs aka bread. The naan is griddled and develops a nice char. The texture is amazing… it has the chew of a nice pita. The flavor is on point, yeasty flavor with some charred undertones. Indo Pak Café, you may be located inside a supermarket where all the employees will look at you because you’re not«indo-pak» but who cares.

The café is small and the line got long both times I was there. You can tell the food is authentic when the majority of the customers are Indian or Pakistanians. I’m hooked on their beef samosa, goat karhai curry and naan bread. The curry is spicy and the meat is tender and falls off the bone. I love how fresh the naan bread. It comes out soft, hot and flakey. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the curry. The beef samosa also has a little spicy and I love how crispy the shell is. It’s a little expensive for $ 1 each when it’s not that big but I think its worth a try. The mint chutney rocks! Make sure you get some of that with your samosa. I have tried their vegetable biryani and it’s pretty good. I love the big chunks of potato and the serving is quite large for the price. I’ve also tried the butter chicken and found it to be too oily and lacked seasoning. It’s still sitting in my fridge uneaten. I’ll need to throw it out soon. I plan to come back often to try some of their other menu items. I thought that they only take cash but saw at the register that they do take cards but it’s a $ 3 minimum to use the card. I don’t have any issues with that.

The food is pretty average — nothing you wouldn’t find at any other Indian place. The Chicken Karahi was not really Karahi. It was kind of a Chicken Curry. The quantity was good but the taste was very average. The Chicken Biryani was a big disappointment. It just ended up being colored/flavored rice on(not so fresh looking) chicken pieces. Cheap place with average tasting food and pretty decent service.

Since working in this area, my coworkers introduced me to «chicken lollipops» which are so good and so cheap for about .79 cents each. I was scared at first since they joked about them being actual lollipops just chicken flavored but when I tried them, I was hooked! Basically they’re just chicken patties on a stick! We always order a lot and they make them fresh so it’s a bit of a wait but they taste best when hot and fresh. I always ask for the red sauce… Not sure what it is but it makes the chicken lollipop taste delicious. If they say they’re out, there’s ketchup bottles in the fridge, just grab it and get some because without the sauce, the chicken lollipops are not the same! As for their food, their chicken biriyani is only $ 3 – 4 and fills you up but I don’t like bones in my food so I usually get the butter chicken which is veryyy oily! It’s good though and I usually get the naan bread which is nice and fluffy.

Spicy! hooray for that! I love spicy indian food. Also the quality, quantity and price were right on the money. The naan bread was just the way I like it, bubbly and chewy, the Samosa was good but not the best I’ve had, but my dish(I forget the name) was perfectly spicy and very, very delicious. I’ll be going back!

Great little place for a very inexpensive meal. If you want vegetarian cuisine, this is a good place to go. I got the bindi masala and it was more than excellent. Just the right amount of spices and heat. The vegetarian biryani was excellent as was the naan. They give you a lot of food so best you do take out unless you can eat like a horse! And, while you are at it, you can go shopping next door at the grocery store, if you so desire. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Cheap food, large portions sums up what I pretty much have to say about this place. No doubt the chicken Biryiani is hollerific good. I wouldn’t use the phrase«yummy in my tummy» though only because I could feel the amount of oil that was settling in my stomach– not too yummy. I have to admit the naan bread is super fresh, flaky and probably one of the better ones I’ve had. Ok, I’m not Indian so I can’t really credit myself as an idian food conossieur or anything but just as an individual who really likes good food, I really enjoyed the bread. Oh, the sauce that you put on the biryiani was pretty dang good too. It kind of mitigated the overall powering flavor of the dish. If I could illustrate it would be like pouring cold water on yourself on one of the 110 degree days here in Tejas. ooo ahhh… haha that’s what I thought of when I poured the sauce over the biryiani that was oh so hot and spicy. Overall, I would really like to give this place atleast a 3.5 but since that option isn’t available a solid 3 will do. The place is very small and ambience needs alot of work but just based on my experience I give this place 3 stars and a semi happy dance from me.

There’s lots here besides biriani! The achar chicken(curry) has a complex lemony taste and is moderately spicy — my favorite so far(4.99). The chicken korma is good and mild(4.99). The eggplant was good(3.99). Chole chicken is curry with chickpeas(4.99). The grill special plate is generous with a leg & thigh, kebab(which one of us liked and one didn’t), salad, and naan for either 4.99 or 5.99(I don’t remember). Naan is decent. Condiments include a tasty thin spicy mint/cilantro chutney and a red sauce. Also the English of the condiment world: ketchup. Fried appetizers are good and better yet if you take some home and put them under a broiler. And you can finish with a nice paan quid. Indo-Pak is by far, the best deal on Indian/Pakistani food in Dallas. It’s truly a basic Asian café, more than street food, but I know why some reviewers reference that. It’s not Shalimar in the Tenderloin, but it’s pretty darn good. Oh, and very friendly clientele. Photo by Leslie.

It’s cheap, fast and relatively good. But, Holy crap, oil much? I scooped up a cup and a half off the top and that’s no joke. Do yourself a favor and just inject it straight into your heart. Your cardiologist will thank you.

I would say that this place hasn’t changed much from the earlier reviews. It is still a hole in the wall. It still has awesome biriyani, and their naan is awesomely warm and soft. At Sunday lunch it’s busy and the food definitely comes hot. Cheap and delicious food.

Food(**** out of *****) Their Chicken Biryani is by far the best! There’s a cornucopia of herbs and spices in every bite. There’s crunchy black peppercorns, tiny mini lemons the size of a thimble, and several types of aromatic leaves in it. Wow! As good as this is, I would not describe it as gourmet dining, though. There are bones in the Chicken Biryani. If you’ve ever eaten in an outdoor food stall that had incredible food in a 3rd world country, then you’ll know what I’m talking about. Their Chaat(snacks such as samosa, etc) and and Biryani are the royalty of Mumbai street food. Atmosphere(* out of *****) The timid A/C, Bollywood movies playing on the TV, and mismatched dollar store furniture gives it a kinda realistic Mumbai street food stall atmosphere. This place truly is a «hole in the wall» because there’s a hole in the wall of an Indian supermarket that you walk through to get to this eatery. Service(** out of *****) Service? What service? This is self-service a la Mumbai street food stall. You pick up and pay for your food at the window. Afterwards, you bus your own table. Conclusion(*** out of *****) I gave this place extra stars because of value. Their chaat such as samosa and pastries are only $ 1 to $ 1.25. Their Chicken Biryani is only $ 3.50. What a bargain! For the price of a meal at Mickey D’s, you can escape the mundane and travel to Mumbai for an hour. This is a great place to bring a playful date or close friend. Y’all will latch onto opposite ends of a chicken leg and fight over it like puppies. I invite you to go there with gusto and order up, «Namaste, chai walla!» EDIT: I have taken away one star from my rating because I went there today and it did not meet minimum cleanliness standards. I have a pretty strong stomach and can withstand a little dirt, but the food has to be hot to kill germs and I cannot tolerate any insects in my food, especially if it is cold. I found a 1 inch winged insect in my food and the chicken biryani was cold. Therefore, it was dirty AND cold. I have eaten insects in third world countries but it was hot so it was OK. If the food is cold, then it has to be super clean. The sanitation conditions at this joint is worse than a street food stall in Mumbai. Namaste, where is the doctor walla? Hey, ya like that crunchy winged morsel in your biryani? Thank you, come again! P. S. If you want to go and try this joint anyways, be sure to go when they open at 11AM. Do not go in the afternoon like I did or you will get COLD biryani. When dining in dives, it is mandatory to remember my motto for safe third world dining, «Hot food is safe food.»

Delicious and amazingly cheap. Chicken biryani is always a special at 2.99 for a giant(styrofoam) plateful. Chicken Tikka Masala was tasty. Samosas are always fresh and incredible. Down note: goat korma soupy and bony. You will need to make sure rice is included if that is what you want, not included with everything. Rub elbows with the local Bangladeshis and dive into the styrofoam in a dive.

This place is ok, its super cheap(they give you alot of biryani for the price you pay. but theres a catch. read below), and the beef samosas are pretty good. One thing i’m surprised noone pointed out was that if you get the chicken biryani, watch out for the bones. There is ALWAYS a alot of bones in the biryani! Its like your trying to dodge mines or punji traps in some stereotype run of the mill war movie taking place in some 3rd world country. CHICKENBONES = LANDMINES in the biryani rice.
