Hands down, the BEST General Tso ever. I’m a General Tso whore, and The China Express makes the best I’ve ever had. And their egg drop soup is killer! That said, it’s a little pricey, and I’ve never eaten anything else here. Oh, One more thing, their eggrolls are pretty damn good, too! That’s all I’ve got.

My order was take out. Kung Pao chicken was 90% celery. When I ordered over the phone I asked if chicken was breast meat three times and was told yes. It was not. At their little condiment bar I asked if I could have some wonton chips. The lady said yes and packed a little bag of them and stuck them in my food bag. She said that will be $ 1.00. Surprised — but okay. I handed her my debit card. She said I’m sorry but to use a card must be $ 5.00. I told her I didn’t have any change. She repeated. I repeated. Friendly but confused. She said I’m sorry and handed me my card. Then she took the chips out of my bag. Well, okey dokey. I wouldn’t have returned anyway because the food was gross but I wouldn’t have bothered writing the review had she not taken the chips out of the bag. If I had been a customer eating inside of the restaurant, I could have put as many on my plate as I wanted as part of the cost of the meal. Just a bad experience that left a bad taste in my mouth!

The food was bland. My low mien was made with ramen noodles and had non existent pork in it, there was no flavor. I had to put soy, sweet and sour and hot mustard to give it any flavor. My friend got mushroom chicken, there was all mushrooms and no chicken. Very disappointed. Only saving grace was the egg rolls were good.

Got food poisoning. Never going back. Wife and I ate food from separate establishments. I got sick a few hours after, and she didn’t.

The to go order was prepared quickly, was hot, and delicious! The cream cheese wontons were deliciously crispy and not greasy at all. Egg rolls were generously sized. Orange chicken was better than standard fare. The lady behind the counter was very nice and chatted with regular customers, and the man in the kitchen(husband?) checked orders before handing them out. I’m new to the area but will definitely be coming back to support a hard working local business that is working hard to make good food in Richardson.

This place was very good when I first ordered a few months ago. I ordered so frequently they even recognized my name. It was good customer service, but the quality has slipped greatly the last two times I’ve ordered. They even forgot my rice and other items in my order this past time. Two big thumbs down. Bummer because it had potential.

I ordered from this restaurant on GrubHub. It was the most awful Chinese food I’ve ever had. The vegetable egg rolls were practically burnt and the cabbage filling was so overcooked that it was mushy. I will never order from this place again.

Horrible. Food was cold and burned. Not a good combo. We waited 30 minutes past the time we were told when we were ordered. When we called to let the manager know what was up she told us that we had to drive up there to get another one. No thanks.

What difference does the quality of the food matter if you can’t get it and try it? I placed a delivery order at 6:45pm and at 8:30 was called to see if it had arrived. NO!!! I told the caller NEVERMIND. Good-by China Express.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken lo mein, won ton soup, and 5 spring rolls. The woman who answered the phone and took our order was very nice and friendly. The food arrived in a timely manner, was hot and tasted pretty good. Over all a very good experience. Will order again.

I have ordered from this place many times, but will no longer be doing that. The food is typical Chinese take out and fairly good, but apparently they don’t want my business. I just called for delivery and was told it was an hour delivery time and would be faster to pick it up. I’m calling for delivery because I don’t want to get out on the roads right now and said I could not pick up so they hung up on me. They definitely just lost my business.

Best Chinese take-out/delivery we have had in the Dallas area. The cream cheese/crab wontons are so big and so good, we order them every time. Love the generals chicken and curry chicken. Have had the broccoli beef, sweet and sour chicken as well but the generals chicken is the best. Also, great hot and sour soup.

My lunch was good, loved the egg roll. I ordered shrimp with vegetables in a white sauce and they obliged even though it wasn’t on the menu, it was pretty good. Lunch came with soup and egg roll plus I ordered a soda and my bill was 9.69.

My husband and I have lived in Richardson for many years and occasionally go here for the lunch special. It is very clean and simply decorated. The service is friendly. We have only been here for the lunch special, but have been many times. They serve it on a cute divided tray with soup and an egg roll. You can pick up free soup noodles at the condiment bar at the side of the restaurant. I have ordered the vegetable deluxe, sesame chicken, Kung Pao shrimp, and vegetable lo mein and enjoyed them all. Their hot and sour soup is tasty, but standard. The egg rolls are good; they are deep fried like all egg rolls, and pretty much anything deep fried is awesome. My only gripe is that they always have Fox News on. I really don’t enjoy a side of angry hostility with my lunch, but tolerate it. They also keep all kinds of great stuff to read. Overall, it’s a nice spot to stop for a quick, solid bite of American style Chinese.

I ordered the shrimp egg foo young, shrimp fried rice and general tso chicken. The egg foo young and rice were not very good and the shrimp wasn’t clean! I don’t understand why restaurants serve shrimp without deveining it! The general tso’s chicken did not taste fresh at all. The broccoli were almost unrecognizable and the chicken tasted like it was frozen and thawed out. I would not recommend this place.
