Jack In the Box

Every time I leave I can’t help but to feel angry. The food itself is great, it’s the customer service that is terrible. The good food is the only reason it doesn’t get one star. Every time you order anything it will take up to 10 minutes in the drive thru. I waited 7.5 minutes for an iced coffee.
With no other cars or customers in store they seem to take their sweet ass time. I’ve been to this one at least 15 times and they disappoint me every time.

Good ol greasy fast food. The service is quick and friendly. The hazle nut coffee rocks. They serve breakfast all day which is always a plus. For fast food they do exactly what they are there for.

$ 6 munchie meal– available after 9pm-​and great customer service! I ordered the cheesy burger munchie meal. It came with both curly fries and french fries, a drink (16oz I think!), two tacos, and the burger. Bring your student ID and get 10% off.

Funny thing happened to me coming home from a writers meeting. It was too late to eat a full meal. I thought I’d pop into Jack’s for some tacos for me and someone waiting at home. I ordered 4 tacos. After a short wait, I drove to the window, handed over $ 2.25 for a $ 2.14 order. I was handed my bag of tacos and the young man at the register closed the window. I sat for a second, blinking, and he opened the window and said, «Oh, do you want your dime?» I replied, «No, you’re so good looking you can have it as a tip.» I am pretty sure he missed my sarcasm. Not to mention that it was 11 cents and not a dime.
Having worked at Jack #1, a very long time ago, … 63^rd and El Cajon Blvd in San Diego, CA, I am always a bit sensitive to how a Jack’s is run. Asking a customer if they want their change is something I never dreamed I’d experience. What was it … a shakedown?
I understand the world is changing … but I can’t believe they are teaching this in schools … please tell me not.
OK only fourteen cents … but really, «Do you want your dime?»

The Jumbo Breakfast Platter is very good.

Jack In The Box is kind of a wildcard as far as fast food burgers go.
I saw a giant American cockroach crawling on the wall here once. I’ve also seen some rats (or they might have been mice) scurrying around outside the windows and hiding underneath the sidewalk. Not a big deal though. The inside of this restaurant looks very clean as far as I can tell. The employees are frequently seen mopping, wiping down tables and emptying the trash. Roaches just have a way of getting in sometimes. The interior is brightly lit and it’s open 24 hours which is great.
The burgers are kind of dry at times and the patties could use a bit more fat. Their fries are not particularly good. There’s no flavor and the outside has been cooked too thoroughly, so the fries just seem to have one texture all the way through.

this is very close to UTD. and they give good discount price to students. good place for students to hangout
