PROS: great cooks, delicious food, good service CONS: a little pricey, there’s always a wait, it closes early

We had such high hopes! But sadly these hopes were completely shattered… First off, service was awful — but whatever, I can get over that. We tried: chicken with garlic sauce, shredded pork with Peking sauce, dumplings and sesame chicken. Dumplings were good! They didn’t come with anything to dip them in and there wasn’t any on the table, but they wet the only good thing besides the streamed rice haha Chicken with garlic: bland, way WAY too much oil. It also left this rancid aftertaste that was similar to how you feel when you walk on a farm and there’s lots of cow pies. Gross. Shredded pork with Peking: have you ever burnt popcorn? It tasted like oily, burnt popcorn with an aftertaste of sesame oil. Also gross. And bland. Since we couldn’t stand our dishes, we thought that maybe we had just ordered the wrong items, so we asked for sesame chicken(my fav) to try and save this experience. It was the worst sesame chicken we’d ever had. Very bland, the oil had separated from the sauce and was sitting around the edges of the plate(I’m talking a good inch or two of just oil). I mean… The steamed broccoli was good? I honestly wish I could vomit and pretend we never ate here and go get a meal somewhere else. Worst Chinese food experience ever.

We have been here for years and we always liked the food. However, since a little while ago to the last time we were there, things changed. The waitress were not very friendly, with attitudes, just some of them and the food isn’t as good as before, but not bad either. We will probably have to find other restaurants.

Nothing like a good Chinese restaurant to celebrate Christmas! We have this tradition in my group, always a success. Food is very, very good and I can highlight the Mongolian beef, the roasted duck(very flavorful), the eggplant, green beans, a stew with fish and shrimps with noodles. All of them well prepared and i recommend them all. We had about 4 tables for our group and I sat with people who prefers mild spicy food. Loved the vegetables, fresh and crunch in all dishes. Green beans were good too. I did not try the calamari and the sweet and sour chicken was little off… kind of watered down somehow and did not have enough peppers that usually comes with it. I am most used to eat this dish with pork, though. The food came very fast, as expected in a Chinese restaurant. They were packed but service with water, dishes and tea went very well. At the end it was about $ 16 per person, all included. Not bad at all! As the portions are big, I would recommend to go with a group. Fun and you can get to try several dishes.

The service is great here. The food is cooked fresh and spicy! I think this was my best experience with General Tsao’s chicken ever.

I’ve been to Dallas a couple times now to visit my fiancé(LDR), and this was the first time he took me here. All I can think about now is how I can’t wait until the next time I visit/move to Dallas so I can eat here again! We ordered the fried chicken with peppers and the szechuan water boiled fish slices(DIFFERENT than the usual water boiled fish and much better in my opinion). The fried chicken with pepper is fried chicken chunks with lotsa red peppers. Chicken was hot, juicy, and perfect. The szechuan boiled fish slices came out in this huge metal bowl with plenty of peppers, white fish slices, dou ya, and cilantro. I’ve never actually had this dish before; I used to always order szechuan boiled fish, but let me tell you, I am never going back. If you like szechuan boiled fish, you need to try this! Two dishes came out to $ 37, and there were plenty of leftovers to take home. What we ordered was probably meant to feed 3 – 4 people. I love szechuan food and this place is my new favorite. Both dishes came out super fast and our waitress was very nice. Will definitely be back.

The food was solid! I didn’t think it was very spicy — I think they toned it down for American palettes. But everything was flavorful and not too salty. We started off by walking up to the front and picking a few cold dishes to start. We got pig ears, beef tongue, and fatty meat. Everything tasted great — the flavors were marinated into the dish, some had a more complex smoked taste, and the spicy oil slathered on the outside gave it a kick. We ordered some Sichuan classics, like twice cooked pork and fish soup. For the price, I was quite pleased with what we got, and service was quick and friendly as well.

Any place situated next to a cos play store is off to a good start! Lots great little restaurants in this Richardson strip mall and as this had some great reviews we are excited to try it out. Unlike other people’s experiences we got a seat straight away on a Friday night(though it was packed) and we got super quick service. The Thai boba tea was yummy as were the cold noodles(they didn’t look much but great flavor) My orange beef was delicious.. Just the right amount of crisp and grease! Hubby ordered the fried(fred) beef and the meat itself was tasty but the dish on the whole had a soapy/bitter aftertaste. We figured afterwards this nasty have been bitter melon? Dallas doesn’t do real Chinese restaurants well so this one is still worth a shot or a second shot in our case but with royal China on my radar and jeng chi just doors away it won’t become a regular.

Food is delicious, but service here is horrible. They have family style food here, which offer large dishes, but they also have individual dishes if you like sharing. We always order the same 4 – 5 items, sichuan string beans, fiery sliced beef, beef intestines, and my favorite, sichuan pepper fried chicken(super crispy and savory). All their dishes are good though. This place gets really packed during dinner on weekends, which would explain the horrible service. Server only come by if you ask for them, but i guess that’s just how every asian restaurants are. Even though service is bad, food come out really fast, in about 5 minutes after ordering. It gets pretty crowded and loud here. Last time i was here, a group of 3 – 4 people were arguing over my head who can go to the restroom first. A lot of people also celebrate their birthday here, so be prepare for the sudden loud birthday song coming on.

I agree with some of the other Unilocalers here. This place is not bad but it wasn’t fantastic. They restaurant itself is pretty clean and was pretty busy for lunch. We ordered twice cooked pork and mongolian beef. I found both dishes to be pretty flavorful but there wasn’t a lot of meat. There were tons of onions which is expected in a Sichuan dish. The servers were ok, I thought they were being rude but actually they’re just fast and efficient and that’s just their way of talking. In the end, our server was pretty attentive. I’m not an expert at Sichuan but I found this restaurant to be a pretty good introduction to it.

I’m feeling a little bit conflicted about this place. Maybe I haven’t tried the right dishes… Or maybe I just really don’t like«too much oil» in my Chinese food. Isn’t that interesting? Too much oil in my Chinese food. Chinese food is always oily! But not as much as this place. Let me first say that I love Chinese food. Obviously, nothing beats my grandma’s and my mom’s home cooked Chinese food… I mean, being completely honest – this place is nothing compared to my family’s home cooked meals. But this place seems to drench their food in oil. I’ve come here three times – twice with a friend and the second time with my boyfriend. My friend and I first just ordered egg rolls, the dessert dumplings(I have a weird obsession with dessert dumplings), and the house special lamb. The lamb wasn’t bad – cooked and seasoned well, tasty. The egg rolls were the bomb(I wasn’t in the mood to eat food, that’s why we ordered so little) and the dessert dumplings were unfortunately okay. And none of these have stood out to me and none of them were memorable. The second time I came here, my boyfriend came here for the first time. We were starving, and usually whenever we’re very hungry, we tend to order wayyy too much food. It’s interesting, because most of these dishes were quite large(I kept forgetting it’s usually family-sized portions). I have another obsession: pig ears. I love pig ears, and these people were definitely on top of their game when it came to pig ears. We also ordered: 1. Spicy Wonton Pork(I can eat this myself. So good.) 2. Bamboo Shoots(HUGEPORTION) 3. Fiery soup with fish(Can feed three-four people) 4. And some sort of braised pork with veggies(this one stood out the most) 5. And something similar to xiao long bao(soup dumplings, but larger) The larger«soup dumplings» were my boyfriend’s favorite because xiao long bao is his favorite type of food, so that was an obvious winner. Mine was the spicy Wonton Pork Soup. And the reason why the braised pork with veggies stood out the most was because it had an intense flavor in the pork. I couldn’t eat too much of it because I started feeling nauseated. So, I took with the veggies and gave my boyfriend the pork. Overall, this place definitely has some intense flavors, some may be even too salty. A lot is drenched in oil. It’s worth the try, but it’s not the best Chinese food I’ve had.

I’ve given this place several chances, but their dishes are lacking. Nothing is very flavorful(unless the flavor is spiciness). And even the spicy dishes aren’t done very well. I’ve eaten at a lot of Sichuanese places in Dallas, and this one is my least favorite. At least our servers are always nice!

Had been craving some good Chinese food. This does not disappoint. Ordered 5 items for less than $ 40. My kind of place. cold noodles dan dan noodles dumplings lo mein(kind of a basic thing for an Asian to order at an Asian restaurant but it was good) mapo tofu The two noodle dishes were appetizers, so we were expecting small portions, but they are filling enough to eat on their own. As if we would ever come here and order one thing. Will definitely be back once my younger sister returns to UTD this fall.

Awesome Dan Dan noodles! Looks mundane but the flavor is amazing! Only $ 6! I should have ordered 2 for myself! Haha! Dumpling in chili oil were good, along with the twined cooked pork, and fried chicken pieces in Sichuan peppers. One waitress I had was kind of loud and rude, but the food made up for it. I would go back the next time I want a bowl of flavorful and filling Dan Dan noodles! Casual and hole in the wall atmosphere!

I really enjoyed my first experience with Szechuan food when I was in Houston so when I heard there was one over here too, I was really excited to try it out. The food is very flavorful and they came out so quick from when we ordered. We got this soup, crispy chicken with red peppers, sliced fish in fiery sauce, dumplings in oil, and shrimp with leek. I can’t remember exactly what type of soup it was but it had egg whites and ground meat and it was very flavorful! I’m typically not a big fan of soups but I really enjoyed this one. The crispy chicken was good but there was wayyy too many peppers on there. There was more peppers than chicken and the chicken pieces were tiny so it was kinda aggravating to dig under the peppers to get the chicken. The sliced fish in fiery sauce was yummy, there was a ton of fish in there and there was veggies at the bottom. The sauce was okayy though, it was a bit bland so we ended up using the leftover sauce from the dumplings. The dumplings were really good, they had this oil/sauce that was so flavorful! It was sweet/salty and garlicky. The shimp with leek was good as well. It didn’t have that many shrimp pieces but the shrimp was cooked well and the leek tasted good. Overall, this place isn’t gonna top the place in Houston but its definitely good enough for a place in Dallas. We got lucky with the place not having any wait when we got there, I’ll most likely be back!

This place is OK. My fiancé loves their spicy soup(intestine noodles). The last couple times we’ve come here they’ve had no specials, and this time they’re out of the two things we want. Their cold noodles always taste undercooked, and the flavor is a little bland. Heading to Sichuan King for some better noodles and their awesone pork. Try the cold noodles at SK… so much better than here.

Came here with a friend who don’t eat authentic Asian food often. I came here mainly to try the orange beef. I like to try other places to see which place is the best, taste-wise and price-wise. The orange beef was meh. The ones that I’m in love with is crispy. This place’s is not crispy at all. It was a regular breaded beef coated with not so great sauce. We ordered also ordered twice cooked pork. I suggested it to my friend, cause she wanted authentic and it’s somewhat the popular dish here. when the dish came, I was like wut? I was thinking about something else, but idk the name. At first, it was alright, but the more I ate, the more I like it. What I didn’t like is that there was not much meat in the pile of onions. also, there was more fat than meat. I don’t know if I’ll order the twice cooked pork again. I’ll try something else if I come back.

Delicious food, good atmosphere, and no break time between 11am to 10:30pm :D We went at 3:55pm, meaning that’s nice no need to wait until reopen at 5pm at some places

WHOOOO100thREVIEW!!! STARTEDFROMDEHBOTTOM!!~~ Fastest service ever. which is super cool and at the same time kinda suspicious. Food is ok priced with a decent portion size. Large variety of food and relatively good environment. Walking in, we were greeted instantly by servers who seemed to speak mostly mandarin. If you are here with little experience of ordering Chinese food, it may be kinda awkward. But I will assume you know what you are doing. Anyways, they seat us and we start ordering. We ordered a great deal of food, a lot of very standard Sichuan dishes. My favorites of the night included: — Bean curd with Asian celery(not a very Sichuan dish, but I really like bean curd. It’s also a veggie dish) — Beef on sticks(not sure about the actual name, but it was beef cooked on toothpicks): it has a nice flavor and lots of pepper… UMMM!!! — Popcorn chicken(not sure about the actual name, one of the chicken dishes): more americanized dish than most, if you enjoy fried stuff. — «Four seasoned beans»(literal translation): so they are long string beans that can be made with varying degrees of spiciness… very traditional Sichuan dish and VERNAICE — Pig blood and pig intestine: sounds gross, but totes worth if you like this kind of stuff. There wasn’t any dish I didn’t like, but I LOVESPICY. One complain I have is that some of the dishes had A CRAPTON of peppers in them… like my «trash plate» was FULL of peppers after half an hour… I guess that can’t be helped. It was a GREATSUCCESS coming here with a group of friends. I totes recommend doing the same thing and just split the dishes family style among your group. I really applaud them for their quick turn out time for the dishes(like seriously… SOFAST… LIKE… WITHIN2MIN fast!!!).
