I have a gluten allergy so I have always had a ton of respect for restaurants that go out of their way to make sure that your food is safe. The burgers are amazing! The gluten free buns are most definitely some of the best I’ve had. And… they have a dedicated separate fryer for their fries and sweet potato chips to ensure they are safe. Love!

This is a weekly work week treat for myself and coworkers. Staff is always super friendly and never scuff at my special requests due to food allergies!

I have tried a few of the burgers and plenty of the sides and I am a fan. Big burgers with lots of flavor. The Freshman 15 is a new favorite of mine, with the fried egg that you can actually taste and isn’t just a gooey mess like at some burger joints. The fried green tomatoes and fried pickles are wonderful, and, when paired with any of the ranches, are a must try. I will be checking if I can do the fried pickles with the atomic pickles next time, because wow! those pickles are amazing. The service is typical of counter order, call your name(or assigned pseudonym, in this case) to pick up, but friendly nonetheless. I forgot to specify that my order was Togo on my last visit and the manager that called my name immediately started packing my food in boxes and went so far as to replace my burger buns with fresh ones, smiling the whole way. Will be going back often. I have yet to try the shakes, because I usually order Togo, but soon…

The burger was pretty good. The fries were old and cold. I came in with my brother, he ordered the same thing right after me except with onion strings and he got his like almost 10 minutes after I got mine. We thought it was because the onion strings but those were also cold and not even remotely fresh. There was no line and probably about 5 employees lingering around the kitchen. It is sad when Mc Donald’s fries are more fresh than an upscale place like this. The burger was the only saving grace but it probably won’t be enough to get me to waste money here again.

One of my favorite places in the Dallas area to get a burger. Always great, and the fries are perfect. The selection of teas to wash it down is excellent and fresh.

Everything was great. Went for lunch last week and their Shroom’s Burger was definitely on point. Variety of pickles are yum. 4 Stars because I know they can improve on being slightly under staffed during lunch. Line got long and the cashier was real slow. Wish they had sweet potato fries also.

I’ve heard great things about Twisted Root and the visit definitely didn’t disappoint! The location is near my university, which means I’ll be back soon. It was a Friday and busy night, but we managed to find a table. To begin with, I’m not a huge fan of burgers but I do love to eat a good flavorful burger. I ordered the Big Tex and loved it. The Big Tex includes guacamole, fried onions, and chipotle sauce. I also paid an extra 50 cents for the *special* ranch. Good balance with the chipotle sauce on my burger. I recommend trying out the watermelon iced tea. I was a bit skeptical at first but wow… It was delicious. I may have had more than one refill… Loved: 1. Variety of burger options 2. Watermelon iced tea 3. Great place to chill with friends 4. Trendy location

casual and perfect especially for sports lovers Or lovers for jeans and sandals or anything casual. Feels like a college town in here, hip and fun thanks to the Décor, menu, and the way your cooked food is announced. Tons of paper towels hanging on the wall parents you would love that you don’t have to ask for more napkins. Food is great, love the many condiments to experiment, and mess is a yes! Noise level loud so feel free to holler at your favorite team. One of the best choices is hamburger turned into hot dog. Bread is soft and buttered well. Hot dog quite juicy. Pair it with a draft beer Oh heaven!

Before I go on, the workers in the front end, and the manager are all nice and accommodating. I enjoyed the good service. But as far as burgers went, it didn’t seem to be as good as the Twisted Roots in Deep Ellum. They were not able to perfect a medium-rare patty — it came out well-done the several times I had it here. I do not know if it’s because they had the stove on low heat that it just cooked everything through by the time the outside was charred, or if it’s because they may have pressed the meat(the patty here looked a bit thinner than what I had in Deep Ellum). Additionally, their fried egg in the burger tends not to have runny yolk — you’ll have to specify it. They’re able to accommodate though, and they do make the egg well, which I’m happy to report. I may give it another try, but with a chicken burger, if they have that. And I’ll update the review accordingly.

Yes and Yes! Where you can come here and get an awesome burger OR a Foot Long Hot Dog! Which I always do! I love that you can custom make you burger or dog however you want to! And for me, it never changes. Diced onions, tomatoes, & bacon with mustard! OHYEA!!! And you must have all their pickles while you wait! There is a counter that has about 6 different pickles to pick from. I try them all!!! No shame here, cause they are all super good! Also I love their root beer! And of course, they have tons of beer to choose from and a small bar! This place wont let you down! I must say the FootLong is my favorite thing on the menu!

Upscaled place… NOT. But thats not why you come here! Go have a beer, spicy pickles, with some suds of Pabst Blue Ribbon and your friends. Cheers meets Mel’s Diner. Good place.

I work in the same complex at the salon and my clients always rave about this place! So today is national burger day so I had to have one. I ordered the burger shrooms. And it was amazing! Cooked perfectly. I also ordered bacon with melted cheddar cheese. Also I wanted to try the fried ride. I was a fan of the green beans and the onion rings. But the pickles and chips are okay. I’ll be back! I love the vibe of the place. 4 stars due to price. Came out to $ 20.

I was excited to go out for burgers(a special treat) with my boyfriend. After having a positive experience at the location on SMU Blvd, I was expecting the same at this location. We were greatly disappointed with the quality of our food. I ordered the vegan burger, my boyfriend one of the specialty burgers and we shared an order of fried pickles. He wasn’t happy with the overall taste and quality of his burger. My bread was dry and the breeding was falling off the pickles. I do love the vegan burger(even though I’m not veg) and chipotle ketchup. It is a cool environment and I hope to give it another try.

Located in the Eastside Plaza, the Twisted Root is a great place to come together with co-workers, friends and family to enjoy good burgers. Creative atmosphere that will appeal to most. A number of Tvs to watch sports on. Great selection of burgers to choose from, you can also build your own. Personal favorite so far has been the«Lots of Schroom» burger(Baby ‘Bello Mushrooms, garlic & Aged Swiss) Plain all out TASTY. Also tried the sweet potato chips as well as the fries. Enjoyed both. Fries could use a bit of seasoning. You also have 5 types of pickles to choose from in order to top your sandwich or just eat with the meal. These include regular dill, sweet and spicy, bread and butter, atomic and wasabi. Personal favorite are the wasabi pickles. Not overpowering, but have really good flavor. Prices are decent and well worth a trip. Oh, be advised that it can get crowded, just know that in advance and don’t get surprised when you roll up and the line is backed up.

I really like Twisted Root. I’m a sucker for burgers, what can I say?! I love the atmosphere, the casual setting, the great service, and who wouldn’t love the option to try different types of meats(ostrich, bison, alligator)?! The burgers are juicy, without being too greasy. The toppings(lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions) are clearly fresh and the fries are cooked just right. The milkshakes are smooth and filling and taste wonderful too! Try the watermelon tea, it’s divine!

Eager to try this spot based on recommendations from coworkers, I drove by one weekday but it was way too crowded for a lunch break. Went on a Saturday afternoon and still crowded, all the tables pretty much full. The line moved fast though. I got a basic build your own burger with American cheese, husband tried the Sexy Hawaiian, split an order of fries. Good portion sizes and tasty. Not big fans of the watermelon iced tea. My strawberry shake was good(will have to come back for an Adult shake). No combos(burgers/fries/drink). Have to order everything separately. Instead of calling #‘s when your order is ready, they give you a card with a name on it. We had Maximus. Also heard 50(Fiddy) Cent, The Little Mermaid, Justin Timberlake, Gumby, Helen of Troy, Mr. Anderson(Matrix), and several others. I thought this was a fun concept and caused me to giggle a few times. Oh, they have big jars of pickles to try while you wait. I’m not a big pickle person, but the ‘bread & butter’ flavor was yummy!
