Waffle House

My favorite open all night greasy spoon and I love it. Good cheap food, hot coffee and just enough entertainment from the people who work there to make me smile.

I felt incredibly unwanted here. The wait staff ignored us for the first 15 minutes when one of the cooks finally asked if we had ordered yet. He ended up taking our order. The order wasn’t right when I came, but they quickly got on top of it and the older cook apologized. Really, I was the women that seemed to have more of a problem. I felt discriminated against because I’m white. Yep, I get it… stick it to whitey. Never coming to this location again!

The food and service were great. Ambiance was a little lacking. Overall it was a good dining experience.

There seems to be only one woman that’s actually taking orders, and she seems really sweet. It was the first time that I’d ever been called «love», «sweetie» or «darlin’» and it was fantastic. (no I’m not from TX)
anyway, they stay true to their name, pecan waffles, hash browns, and bacon.
My arteries just told me to go to hell.

Waitress waited min of 20 minutes after taking our order to call to cook. Food was brought to table cold & only one if 3 plates. I didn’t go out to get this kind of service. Employees food was cooked first & I’m sure there’s was hot or at least warm. Manager better make this right… he just said Ya.Ya.Ya…I walked! Worded experience ever. I will be contacting corp office. Especially. Since a colored couple who came in after my party got Thier food before we had even a portion of ours. I’m not prejudice… but that was not right no matter your race.

It’s Waffle House, man! You cannot expect 5 star food or cleanliness, but you can get 5 star attention and service. We always feel welcome when we go, everyone is nice and friendly. The hash browns are the best, especially given that one can order different sizes and toppings. Greasy? Yes! But you know what? We don’t leave with a stomach ache like we do sometimes from better restaurants, and we figured out it is because vegetable oil is not rich creams and butters and hidden calories. Portions are not huge, but adequate, and price is not really that great to be quite honest — the toppings on my hash browns didn’t equal the price charged, and we didn’t come out with a bill cheaper than our favorite Chinese buffet in Frisco. But here is the deal: if you want a decent, warm meal for a reasonable price and no attitude, at any time of the day or night, reminiscent of being back home at your favorite diner, then this place will fit the bill.

Walked in everyone was super nice The food was cooked extremely well the place was super clean the only thing I had a problem with was the ac was blasting the whole time we where eating so it was extremely cold but other than that was one of the best waffle houses I have been to

I was born in Atlanta, GA. The headquarters of Waffle House. And my dad took us here as young children all the time. So it’s in my blood. I love Waffle House because it’s open 24 hours and you can eat breakfast all day! I usually get two scrambled eggs, raisin toast, and hashbrowns .This is where my love of hashbrowns began. I like them clean and just had ketchup to them. But you can get them covered, smothered, etc. Their waffles are always good (I like plain) and their coffee is super yummy. Also, their grilled chicken sandwich and biscuits are so yum. Our dad always got us a slice of Pecan Pie with melted butter and I still love it! I actually came here for Valentine’s Day and loved it. I will always love Waffle House. If they could get a drive-​through and allow me to order online, it would be even better! Also, the patrons here after hours are great entertainment. Dinner and a show! Enjoy!

Five stars for as much as a waffle house can be five stars. Great, friendly service and piping hot fresh breakfast every time I’ve been. This location is an institution. Never been late night so I can’t speak for the drunk crowd. Sit at the counter and watch the show.

I didn’t know there was a Waffle House near me until last week when I went. To start off with the positives, the food was good, I honestly like their breakfast items, and the food didn’t come out soggy or cold. What I did have an issue with was the service, when I arrived the server forgot to return to the table a good potion of time while I was there. Because of that, it wasn’t as «homey» as Waffle Houses usually are. With that said, I grew up going to Waffle Houses so it won’t be my last time going.

Great food. Casual environment. The only negative is depending on which waiter or waitress you get, it can entirely change one’s opinion. Sometimes they are great and other times they are forgetful, lazy and rude.

This place is part of pop culture. One should be prepared for a very casual (as in sticky floors, maybe some crickets outside, smell of grease) environment. I think it’s amazing that you can get an egg and cheese biscuit sandwich, or some really good smothered hash (cheese, onions, the works) or other various good tasting food for $ 2-​$ 3!!! Their chocolate chip waffles are really good. It’s great that it’s a 24 hour place. My stomach does get upset after almost every time I eat here so I don’t come too often, the food still tastes really good regardless.

I went to this location with a group of friends last night. My waffle was burned and I had to request a new one. Our order was messed up three times and my friend was served warm milk. The waitress opened a new container of milk and tried to serve a second cup of warm milk from their fridge. She said «don’t worry, I’m not mad at you» when he refused the warm milk. My boots still have syrup on them from their sticky floor. The waitress tried to overcharge an additional $ 13. She corrected it and claimed there was a fee she had waived for placing a single take out order. To make matters worse, a cockroach was crawling on my friends arm while at the register paying his tab. The ladies response was «Everyone has cockroaches, we can’t control that.» This location should have a hazard sign at the front door. Eat at your own risk.

BEST service, BEST food, BEST environment. Andrew is the cutest (that baby face and smile) and sweetest waiter on earth. He deserved a $ 25 tip and more!!! Now go have Andrew serve you with love, patience, and deliciousness. Love you Andrew.

This one star is for my waitress. It took her 10 mins to even acknowledge my presence. Then she didn’t apologize. Very unapologetic. Her demeanor towards me was oblivious in nature. I don’t ask for much but to just be respected and acknowledged as a customer.

All star special is the way to go! Great price and awesome value. You can sub out the grits for hash brown or oatmeal. There’s always a weekend morning rush too.

We frequent Waffle House occasionally when we are looking for a good, greasy breakfast. Here is a breakdown of our trip:
Large order of sausage: The order is not large by any means. It is only three patties. BUT, they are delicious!
Hashbrowns: I know you can have so many combinations, but I like them plain and extra crispy.
Waffle: Make sure to add chocolate chips!
Texas melt with bacon, egg and cheese: This is hands down the best item on the menu. It is perfect because there is double cheese :)
Drinks: Orange Juice is only 50 cents when you order another beverage. It is worth it!
We will be back!

This is my first experience with Waffle House and it was OKAY. I got a cheese N’ eggs with sausage and raisin toast. I got regular toast when it was delivered. I also ordered an orange juice. I’ve never in my life had a bad experience with orange juice, until now. It tasted like vodka and dish soap with a dash of orange cleaner in it. I can’t express how bad this juice was.
The food was pretty good. The bacon was perfectly crispy so I have to commend them for that. I tried my girlfriends waffle though and I thought since that’s what the restaurant was called it would be exceptional… it had the consistency of play-​doh.
On top of all of this, my girl friend ordered and was charged for grits but never received any. Although the food was good, I won’t be back.

I don’t know why I love Waffle House as much as I do. Ok, yes I do.
It’s because:
Their waffles are perfect. Thin & tasty. The smothered & covered hash browns are always cooked perfectly and are never too greasy.
This particular waffle house cooked my over hard eggs perfectly. Service was great too.
