My boyfriend was excited to try this place as we are big Cajun food lovers; however, it was a disappointment with the serving sizes compared to the prices. A small cup of crawfish étouffée w/only 4 pieces of crawfish and less than a handful of rice for $ 7? The fried shrimp po’boy was good, but also mediocre. I thought the potato chips that came with it though were pretty good. The staff did not seem as welcoming either. I felt that maybe they should have been a little more enthusiastic about customers coming in since it wasn’t the busiest at the time. It might be worth a try if you’re in this area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

Very good & worth ordering: Dirty Fries Fried Shrimp Po’Boy Crawfish Étouffée & Fried Crawfish Po’Boy I am not a fan of the jalapeño hushpuppies. I would not order those again. Overall, my experience was good, and I would go back again.

Unfortunately I can’t say good things about this place yet but I haven’t tried the po-boys which seem to be their forte. I ordered the swamp fries(which has gumbo and cheese on the fries) and the beignets. The swamp fries were a soggy mess, and far too spicy to be enjoyable, unfortunately. Perhaps the spicy-food lover would enjoy these much more than I do and not care for the sogginess or the mess. The beignets were a big disappointment — somehow what was supposedly to be a fluffy fried balls of dough came out to be flat, condensed, and packed squared hockey pucks. This would put anyone from New Orleans in a hissy fit. There, I said it. Hopefully my review of this place will improve, albeit slightly, upon trying their po-boys.

I had a blackened catfish po boy. It was very good in flavor and the bread was tasty but could have used a bigger portion of fish to be correct. Small dining room so going at peak times may be tight. Attentive staff, nice varied menu.

We went pretty late at night and the owner was very gracious and looking for UTD student connections. The place was small so we had to make do with 2 small tables haphazardly pushed together. The food itself was pricey but the fries were delicious! The crawfish etoufee po boy was messy to eat but also amazing! Only one student worker left at the time but he took good care of us. But seriously loved those fries.

This is one of the best places for New Orleans style po’Boys in dfw. Their begneits are to die for.

I really had no chance to try it out but for fair warning if you coming here on weekends around noon time, there are moments you won’t have menus and there’s only one person there to take care of the entire floor. It was getting too long of a wait. My tummy moved me out before it could be filled. Maybe next time.

We love coming here for poboys. Catfish, shrimp, sausage, blackened, fried-it’s all good. It sucks that the default side is chips, you have to pay extra for fries. The place is small, it feels like a bar that serves food. There is parking in the garage next door, because the spots up front are limited…

First let me start by saying I’m not the biggest fan of Cajun food, but I won’t discredit this location for that. I went here and ordered the catfish basket. They gave me the option of fried or blackened and I went fried. It was cooked pretty fast and the fries were really good. The hush puppies were good as well and so was the fish. It had a more homemade feel to it in comparison to a Razzoos like location. The prices were moderate for a seafood place and they had a nice car. The actual location for the place was première being on the outskirts of the plaza meant less traffic from other people so eating was a simple in and out. Our waitress was really nice and made sure that we were taken care of. The only negative was on this particular day, their air conditioner was out and we had to sit in moderate summer heat

Wicked Po’Boys is great. It is slowly becoming my «Cheers» bar. Sam and Margaret always provide great service and a friendly smile. I love the gumbo because it is flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Can we talk about the gator? It’s delicious. Obviously I’ll be back!

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for awhile & I’m glad I did. The girl who took my order recommended the«Blackened Shrimp Po Boy» & it was yummy! Bread is fresh & shrimp was great! I usually get fried shrimp, but this is better. I will return.

Went here for some Cajun and a good po boy. Everything on the menu sounded good and was dying for a po boy, but went with the blackened shrimp. The shrimp were very crisp and meaty, with a great blackened flavor. After I saw the po boys on the other tables, I’m glad I went this route. They looked good, but not like the ones I’ve gotten in LA or MS. I’d go back and try them next time, but just don’t get the feeling they will be great.

Wicked good po’boys. We got it with the jalapeño slaw. The charred oysters were realllly good we ended up ordering another dozen. Dont miss those. 3 local beers on tap. The dessert was the best. They were really good.

Pretty good catfish po’boys. The catfish is gigantic so definitely filling if you’re hungry. Their chips are great and seasoned just right. The staff is friendly and food is made quickly. The price isn’t bad for the big sandwich you get. Good place for a quick lunch

My husband and I visited Wicked Po’Boys in the past. Maybe a year ago to be more precise. I get my normal Shrimp Poboy and today he ordered the Shrimp Basket. The reason why three stars were given are due to the following: 1. Slow– service. We arrived at 1:15 ish we did not get our food until 1:45ish. It doesn’t take almost 30 minutes to cook these two dishes. Mind you that some individuals are on lunch break for one hour. So imagine me shoveling food down my throat just to make it back to work on time. 2. When we first visited Wicked our shrimp Po’Boys were full of shrimp.(Maybe I critique a little harder on this because being from Louisiana especially south Louisiana I am use to having Shrimp fall off of my PoBoy) I literally counted 10 shrimp and I had so much bread left over you could make another poboy with it. This is itself is very disappointing. I get that seafood is readily accessible back home and even cheaper, but this by far wasn’t what I expected. If I give a separate rating on taste it would be five stars all the way. In the future, I will make sure to place my order 30 minutes in advance(with hopes that it isn’t cold) and enjoy my lunch at work.

This is a great addition to the community. The restaurant is very clean. We came here because the wife is from LA of course, and every so often she has her craving. So we got in and tried some po boys. Everything from teh bread to the oysters was fantastic. Great little find.

Really good and reasonably priced. We tried the dirty fries, extra wicked crawfish étouffée with fried crawfish and beignets. The fries are with roast beef and gravy, which initially makes no sense but when you taste it it’s comforting. The sandwich was on point: bread soft and flaky, étouffée tasty. Beignets: warm and delicious. The server was very friendly and let me try some beers when I couldn’t make a decision on what to drink. They were out of oysters so couldn’t try thay, but overall solid. Nothing bad to say. Want a good po boy, come here.

We will not be back. Our table of 4, and two other tables of two each talked about the painfully late delivery of food, and the apathetic attitude of both management and wait staff when it finally arrived. 2 pieces of fish, side of coleslaw, fries and a drink = $ 16?!? Wait time for these few, simple items? 32 minutes for me. Someone at my table ordered a cup of etouffe and waited the longest… 40 minutes … for a cup. And no garlic toasted bread with it. :-| Simple meal, completely outrageous wait time for a unreasonable priced basket of fish and chips. This place does NOT have its act together whatsoever. If you’re hungry, go somewhere else. If you don’t care when you’ll get your food that you paid too much for, by all means have at it. To be «fair and balanced» the blackened catfish fish was very well seasoned and the batter on my fried catfish was also very good. Fries were pretty good, too(seasoned). The cole slaw is an odd recipe. Some might like it; I thought it tasted disgusting.
