Sustainable Surface

Fantastic experience. Highly recommend. True craftsmen that take pride in their work. Simply put, Sustainable Surfaces took a bad incident and made it an enjoyable experience as our new oak floors have increased the beauty, function and value of our home. We had water damage existing oak floor in kitchen. Insurance company was pushing us to wait for wood to dry, then sand and refinish. Humidity always cupped the wood. We had several «self proclaimed» experts look at the floor. After a few minutes it was clear these «experts» had limited knowledge. Fortunately we found Sustainable Surfaces. Only Sustainable Surfaces answered our questions in a direct and straight forward manner. Johnny and his staff were able to repair, replace and tie in with installation of new oak floors in rooms that had been carpeted or scratched & faded oak flooring. They did it all. Seamless tie in from room to room. The carpentry and craftsmanship of removing the old oak floor and putting down the new was excellent. They were superior in matching old to new. Their sanding leveled the floor with no sanding marks and was dust free. Remarkable. The finishing with several coats of poly is second to none. Sun light, direct and indirect electric light, all shine evenly across the floors. Sustainable Surfaces employees were flexible and able to make any requested changes. Johnny’s expertise and BONA certification gave him the knowledge and wisdom to help us pick the right finish to last over time. None of the yellowing that occurs with finishes that others were trying to sell us. Will recommend them to family and friends.
