Atmosphere is comfortable and current. Service good. Nice bar with a river view. Patio or inside. I was here for apps and a cocktail. Enjoyed my cocktail with seared salmon poke and a small salad off the restaurant menu. Yum. All was wonderful. Nice noise level for a Weds night. I skipped Anthonys due to poor service reviews but did a walk thru first to be sure. Vibe was too noisy. Budds is great!

I ordered the sirloin last night medium-rare, Oscar style. The first time the steak was brought out, they forgot the toppings. The second time it looked right, but the steak was so chewy that you couldn’t begin to finish one bite. I tried cuts from 3 different parts of the steak before reluctantly telling the waitress. She did a wonderful job, was very attentive, and even apologized on the chef’s behalf. The steak was removed, and a new one was brought to me for the third time. While marginally better, quite frankly, it was still not good by any stretch of the imagination. The tomatoes on the side dish even had tough skins, and poor flavor. It’s so unfortunate because this restaurant could be a wonderful experience based on the location and ambiance. I utilize restaurants weekly as venues for dinner speaker programs, catering, etc. There is no way I will ever spend dollars again at this restaurant personally or professionally. The two stars given are only because the waitress did a very good job under poor circumstances. Based solely on food, two stars may be a stretch. I hope they make some major food quality changes in the immediate future.

Loved it! The atmosphere, the table setting, the service! And then the food, very good and a great dining experience. I have been there a number of times and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a fine dining experience. The staff was very accommodating and kind. I love their«bargain» choices and everything on it is delicious. Their cocktails were also very yummy. Can’t wait to go again.

The first couple times my husband and I went here we had good food and good service. However, the last few times we went we had horrible service and mediocre food, at best. On our most recent visit — for our 9th anniversary dinner Monday night(6÷27÷20016) we were very disappointed. The steak was chewy and not worth the price. The appetizers were ok but also overpriced. The drinks were awful. Negroni and a Moscow mule… my husband could not even finish them and he is not one to waste alcohol. Lol. Our server hardly came to our table and it took forever to get our food on a slow Monday night. Horrible experience and complete waste of money. You’re better off going to outback, Applebee’s or any other chain steak house.

OMG! Best filet mignon I’ve ever had and I’m from Texas where we know our steaks. The patio seating by the river offered a perfect setting for the evening. Our waitress was superb, offering explanations and a little friendly conversation. Can’t wait to go back. I’ll skip the dessert next time tho. Didn’t care to much for the berry shortcake. Berries were great but shortcake wasn’t much more than a biscuit. But overall this is going to be a favorite for those special occasions. A little too spendy for every week, or I’d be here.

Excellent food. Perfectly cooked steaks combined with either crab, lobater tail, or shrimp. Service was outstanilding. A little spendy both definitely worth it for those special occasions.

Ordered the NY Strip steak. Advertised on the menu as 60 day dry aged Wagyu. What arrived was utility grade, from Winco, untrimmed, dry steak. Really dry, really flavorless, not a drop of juice on my plate after cutting it through the center and trimming from it what the chef never should have let leave the kitchen. Trimmed as best I could with a serrated steak knife, tough as horse, didn’t finish half of the lousy thing. $ 56 a-la-carte. Worst steak I’ve ever been served outside Denny’s steak and eggs.(Not being fair to Denny’s.) Yes, I really ate here, 6÷18÷16, 7 pm, reservations for 6. Steak was cooked to order, that’s all that was right, the rest is absolutely true. Utility grade, and prisons have no use for the loin. The baked potato I ordered came out mashed instead. No explanation until questioned, heard that it was because they were out of baked potatoes but I could wait 15 minutes for a baked potato. This I only found out when my friend sitting next to me asked for A-1 and where is the baked potato he ordered. Really? No offer of one of the other starch choices before the steak hit the grill, take mashed or wait for the tough steak to cool if I won’t eat mashed potato? I ate mashed without mentioning anything. They were so-so. Never, ever, have I been served a worse steak. Period. I have paid more. Most often much less. Tried my best to get the real story out of the waiter. That guy was good, never betrayed a thing. He should work for the CIA, he didn’t betray anything. Just another routine night as best as I could find out. That was disappointing because I was expecting a Deusey of a story. Not a syllable on that mark. Others at my table at that time ordered Baked Alaska for dessert, what came out, after the table was set for dessert!, was an explanation about the rack being too low in the oven to cook the thing, only melted it. Only apology, no dessert of any kind. Like what this night really needed was another excuse. In fact, this night there were enough legitimate complaints at my table I never had a graceful chance to lodge any of my own, for the entire meal. So I sat down at home and shared this singular experience with anyone willing to stick through my entire review. And this ain’t the half of it, honestly. The worst steak anywhere, including Europe and the Middle East. On the drive home I tried to convince my wife that Anthony’s Budd’s Broiler deserves another chance because the Tri Cities really needs something of the caliber that this could be. I utterly failed. I couldn’t get her past how bad her Steak Oscar was.

Steak was good Brussels sprouts were better. Not a bad experience, was just hoping for more from the steak. I’ll go with the seafood and give that a try next time. I still don’t understand why when you buy a $ 50 steak, a different side is extra. The Brussels sprouts were worth the extra though!

Service was good the food was overpriced. Crab and corn chowder was very good the free bread was wonderful. I had the rib eye for$ 47 supposed to be mid rare and came out raw(blue). The steak had a standard sauce that tasted like a Swanson TV dinner Salisbury steak. I don’t know about you but if I order a $ 47 rib eye I want it to taste like steak.

Beautiful restaurant with big windows out to patio seating and views of the water with the boats. Some bright areas and some darker, more intimate seating areas. Booths and tables and a bar area. I understand this was a converted conference hall but it still feels like an elegant restaurant. Wait Staff was very friendly, professional and attentive. I don’t like a lot of seasoning so I got the filet mignon and asked for it LIGHTLY seasoned.(Steak was so good it really didn’t need a thing on it.) Waitress mentioned it usually comes with a sauce and I asked for that on the side(Like Sally LOL). Glad I did– because, again, the steak didn’t need anything on it. Desert: the BEST crème brûlée in the world(called something else… but basically it was crème brûlée)

Love love love the early bird special. I can’t think of anyplace else you can get wagyu for that price. The appetizers are excellent and presentation is always perfect. The steak is unbelievably tender and has been consistently cooked on multiple occasions. The salmon is a generous portion and always free of even the smallest pin bone. The crème brûlée is from Anthony’s but I could care less. It’s still really good.

Was in the area for work and decided to stop here for an extremely early dinner. Glad I did. They have some good specials but opted for the surf and turf menu. At $ 21.95, it was a pretty good deal! I ordered the steak and half lobster tail. The steak was cooked to my liking and lobster was great — no complaints. I ask I got a half portion of the steakhouse wedge. It’s nothing amazing but not bad. I was really impressed with the staff though-extremely nice and accommodating! Great customer service! I asked my waitress(forgot her name but she was AWESOME) about the size of the steakhouse wedge. She was able to provide a half portion since she usually recommends that people should split it. When my entrée came out, the staff also asked immediately if my steak was to my liking. I really appreciate that! If I’m in the area I would definitely come again and try other items, especially their HH specials

After my first dining experience, the manager, Bryce, asked me to give it another try. I am so glad I did. We had a terrific waitress, the food was outstanding and cooked perfectly and the ambiance was great. Even my friend who ordered her filet«well-done» to the horror of the rest of us, had it cooked to her liking. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. Fab calamari too! Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the patio this summer.

The $ 19.95 special before 6pm is a great deal. I would probably come back and recommend it as a great place for a slightly more upscale regular dining option than Olive Garden or Applebee’s(the other options in the Tri-Cities). The pros: Our server was very friendly, our steaks were cooked properly, and the ambiance was quite nice. I really enjoyed the mushrooms I ordered and the tomatoes served with our steak were inspired! They had great flavor and a nice contrast in temp to the food. Everything came out a good temperature, especially the coffee which was piping hot. The cons: Please salt your butter. Also, the bread was too greasy and the crust to flaky, I shouldn’t make a mess tearing my bread and/or worry about staining my clothes if I touch them prior to using a wetnap. The Caesar salad that comes with a whole leaf is unusual and not convenient enough to be a thing(the trick is to roll each piece as you cut it). Overall a nice experience. I liked that things moved at a comfortable pace, 1 – 2 hours is really a good amount of time for dinner.

Came here with a group of friends yesterday for an early dinner & we literally spent 3 hours in the restaurant, 1 hour was spent eating!(That alone should tell you something about the service) Our waitress could have been an amazing waitress(she was very friendly & personable) & gotten a great tip if she had paid more attention to our table. Upon arrival we got seated & about 10 mins later our waitress came to take our drink order. It took about 30 mins for our drinks to come out. We then saw all these tables getting served bread upon arrival, so when our waitress FINALLY made her way back to our table I asked her if we could get some bread(her response, oh they haven’t brought you out any? Ummmm… isn’t that your job?!) I ordered the calamari appetizer & although it was quite good, the potion was just outrageous for the price! I then ordered a surf & turf meal & upon arrival of my food the waitress then told me, «I have a setting come out for you» I waited & waited & waited for my setting while eating my steak, she them comes around the corner & says«oh you haven’t gotten your setting?» Then leaves & never comes back until it’s time to give us our check! I had ended up having to break the crab open with my teeth! She said nothing to me, not even an apology for not bringing out my setting for my crab! My husband & I agreed that although we enjoyed our food, we wouldn’t come back to this establishment. One reason being, the prices are ridiculous for their portions & another, the service was really just terrible! I rarely do reviews, but I felt this absolutely needed one!

Wagyu = Wack You(are for being so gullible to believe it’s really Kobe Prefecture meat) But Hey, HipsterBro and WooGirl need somewhere to feel special, don’t they? Go to Yoke’s, buy a couple ribeyes, throw ‘em on a hibachi grill. Profit

Overall, very disappointing. Always looking for a place to get a great steak. Unfortunately, Budd’s isn’t it. The steaks are way over priced for the quality. All of our steaks were overcooked. I thought, perhaps, it was just me as I prefer medium rare and closer to the rare side, which I have trouble getting cooked everywhere. However, in this case, we all thought our steaks were overcooked by a half-level. They had decent flavor. But when I am paying $ 45 to $ 50 for a steak, I expect it to blow me away. I had the same cut at Applebee’s a few nights ago, and it beat the steak I had here hands down! As expected for the type of place this is aspiring to be, the sides are extra. However, what surprised me was the $ 4 up-charge for a baked potato. Are you kidding me??? You serve overpeiced, mediocre steaks and then you want to charge me extra to have a baked potato instead of the tablespoon worth of mashed potatoes. That, by the way, are stiff and not that amazing. Also, they have asparagus listed on the menu and our server stated they are out of season. That’s fine, but say that on the menu. Don’t make it seem like it is an option, then tell me it’s not. For a supposedly upscale steakhouse, there were two different menus at our table. It would have been another embarrassment if I had not pointed out to my wife so she didn’t order stuff that was not available. Again, if you are going to charge these prices, a little attention to detail wouldn’t hurt. I do have to say that our server did a great job and that is what earned the extra star. She was very attentive and got our order exactly right. I have eaten at some great steakhouses that Budd’s is trying emulate. They have a long way to go! I doubt I will try them again unless they lower their prices to be more comparable with the quality and stop charging for a baked potato instead of mashed.

This rating is relative to other steakhouses in the Triciities and there are caveats. First, this is a converted conference restaurant. Therefore the space is a little unusual. Much of the seating is booths and hence the décor is the biggest negative. They did a good job with what they have, and the view is a definite plus since its on the river. The food was actually quite good, steaks cooked perfectly and seasoned near perfectly. The desert menu could be more exciting and the service was a tad slow, but overall I liked it. Will I return? Maybe not because of the distance from my house and the higher than average prices for the TCs.

Anthony’s did a very good job remodeling«Anthony’s Event Center» aka: «Sundance Grill» … The Restaurant picked up an additional four excellent four tops with very good window views located where the stairs to the patio were located. I love their open kitchen concept. The bar is three times bigger than Anthony’s. All their meat selections is dry aged. Wine mark ups ~x 2.5. excellent wine glassware is used. Soup, Salad, Vegetable and Starches are all Ala Carte in addition to the Beef entrees.(Please note; we discovered later that each beef entrée was served with about ½ cup of sautéed cherry tomatoes and about ½ cup of tempura style sautéed onion ring slivers)… We shared a «shaking beef appetizer»($ 13) … We had separate 45 day dry aged 8 oz Top Sirloin($ 24) &12 oz Top Sirloin($ 29) … Bread for two($ 0.00)… We shared two side dishes: Brussels Sprouts with toasted Hazelnuts($ 9)… Carrots $ Kale($ 7)… and a bottle of Dunham«Trutina» Red Blend($ 55) … Grand Total for two people with tip($ 174.90) … We enjoyed excellent flavors and plate presentations… we will be back. BTW: I knocked off one star because the restaurant needs to install retractable solar shades in the Main dining room. The afternoon setting sun was blinding many patrons near the window locations. Suggestion tip to diners… you don’t need to order separate vegetable side dishes for each person. I recommend ordering only one side dish for two people.
