This is a great neighborhood bar. It never gets crazy crowded, there is great live music and generally just a chill atmosphere. I haven’t eaten at Bogart’s so I can’t attest to the food but the bar experience is great.

I don’t know what the secret is, but Bogart’s turns out some delicious bar food. Their burger is my favorite one in town — it’s simple but it does the job. Good fries, too.
The atmosphere here is not quite as rowdy or as much like a «meat market» as bars in the Fan/​Carytown area tend to be, and that’s a plus in my book (or maybe I’m just lucking out at low key times). There’s usually great jazz. I was able to catch the Rhythm Masters here this past Sunday — they were tight! The bartender that night was friendly and hip, really knew his way around a bottle.
