I think the last few times I ordered the Tea was just having an off day. Its all been good so far and I’ll continue going here

Finally had the opportunity to try out this place. I ordered the papaya smoothie and a beef banh mi. Overall mediocre food and service. The food was bland and dry. Don’t think I will come back again honestly.

Been awhile since I returned here due to the odd closing hours. Decided to stop by since I was in the plaza this afternoon. Place looks the same. Same owner. Different front staff? Saw a younger male in front that took my order. He was nice to even bring my order outside to me as I was by the car. Ordered my usual egg rolls and Hawaiian beef slim roll. Both tasted good. It is a bit pricier than usual if compared to those in Chinatown but it’s the closest in this area.

This was actually my first time here and I am not sure I would come back there again The staff was taking my orders and on her phone at the same time. The bathroom needs a proper cleaning and removes all junk stuff. there was no paper towel. The food needs to be improved about quality.

–pros Convenient –cons Almost half of the smoothie was ICE The cups for the smoothies were too small Mediocre flavors, wouldn’t go back Pricing was way more than other tapioca places I’ve been to and I didn’t think it was worth for the amount that you are getting Customer service. 2, needs to smile more.

When I first went here, I was really excited and really enjoyed their bahn mi sandwiches, slim rolls, and the pandan special drink/dessert. Then a few times after that, the quality switched to carelessness and lack of taste. Then I tried again, and it was still mediocre. Not sure what happened, but I, along with some others, have noticed a huge drop in quality. Do not get the slim rolls, they are not worth the price, not anymore. My favorite was the pandan special drink/dessert, but suddenly I was getting half of the fun things in the glass than I did before. Even though their items were somewhat enjoyable, I was really disappointed in their change of quality.

Went from great, to below average in what seems like less than a year. My husband and I were thrilled when they first opened. Their drinks and banh mi tasted great and actually LOOKED like those in their marketing photos when we first went. Soon after, we noticed quality slipping. The drinks contained less and less toppings. I even asked them once if I got the same drink as the one on the wall because it didn’t look anything like the picture. The banh mi, which uses to taste amazing, is totally different now. We got a beef and pork last night and they were saturated in soy sauce with little veggies(pics attached). As previous Unilocalers have stated, we also experienced them closing at different times than their posted store times. The workers aren’t mean but they definitely don’t look happy to serve you. We’re really disappointed that they couldn’t keep up the quality.

Been meaning to try this place, since I live so close & Bellaire can be a bit of a hassle to drive to since it isn’t ideally as close as I wish it were to my home. On the way home, my boyfriend and I decided to finally give Pandan Leaf a try; why not? It was getting a bit late, so we check the hours on Unilocal.Got there, and it was as empty as it normally looked… Quite lonely. We were craving Pandan waffles from Hong Kong City Mall, but sadly forgot it was cash only. So we got the green Pandan waffle to-go from Pandan Leaf & also a banh mi, just to try. The waffle was a bit oddly shaped, but nonetheless it was actually really good. We ate two waffles and I would definitely come back just for a Pandan waffle to snack on. Mmm The banh mi was actually pretty good. It was a bit mediocre and had a lot of soy sauce, but the soy sauce was probably what made it good. We got the beef banh mi. Shortly after we received our to-go order and into the car, the«OPEN» light and the rest of the lights immediately shut down… It was 6:51 P.M. Lol If you ever want to try this place… I’d probably suggest going at an earlier time, since they like to close as they please. I never saw a restaurant seem so eager to close early. The staff wasn’t quite friendly nor helpful, they just seemed like they didn’t want/need the intended business…

We’ve been back here on and off for the past year and it’s always unpleasant. Never greeted, workers never seem happy to offer service. Most times, I’ve found a small dead fly in my food. Very gross, am not happy and have asked husband to stop trying this place out.

My wife and sister-in-law are not fans of this place. The food is not prepared well, and the flavor of the drinks are very inconsistent. For example: my sister-in-law only ever orders the same drink, and has never had a repeatable taste/flavor. I cannot tell the difference, but I don’t have a favorite order. We have really skipped visits, as we aren’t in the mood to find out if we have a good drink-maker in the clock or not. I cannot consistently recommend this place.

First off, I’m going to start by saying that the coconut smoothie is delicious, so that is why they get 3 stars. However, the smell in this place is not appetizing and an even bigger issue is that they close whenever they want. We stopped by when they were suppose to be open, two times, on two different occasions and the lights were off. No sign on the door or anything, they were simply closed. What is the point of having business hours if you are going to come and go as you please? Not a good way of doing business, especially when customers drive quite a ways to get to you. This place needs better management. Also, on one occasion we were sitting in the store and we were asked to leave because they wanted to close early. Like I said before management sucks!

The smoothies is tasteless. Not recommended. Worse place to have smoothies ever! Their tapioca is also HORRIBLE. Will not come back ever again!

Great green juice. It completely the opposite direction I live but I was in the area and I have to say. For having an exciting night. This was so needed. Hydrating to the max. I felt better right away. Young lady mix my order up so I didn’t get my banh mi. Ended up with two drinks. -.- but I would love to come back and try the pâté banh mi.

Tip: I liked the Pandan waffles. My Filipino friends like the drinks. Its like halo halo. Food: The food is good but not enough to make me want to make a special trip there. If you are familiar with Filipino Halo Halo, you may like their drinks. My friends loved it. Their Pandan waffles were good. Kinda chewy instead of crispy. Not bad though. The eggrolls were good too. Place: Its clean but small. Not too many tables. But the time we went, finding a table was not a problem. Service: The staff was friendly. Some of the food takes a while to come out. Value: The price was ok.

I’ll take what I can get when it comes to Asian desserts in Katy area. This place serves its purpose in this side of town. Ingredients taste fresh and my favorite is the green chewy stuff! I’ve only had the desserts and not any of the teas. The first time I asked for light sugar, and last time I forgot to, so I died of sweetness. So if you aren’t a big fan of sweet — don’t forget to ask to adjust.

Really disappointed in the customer service. The lady at the counter was eating(and kept her food in one hand) while taking my order, money, and making my banh mi. She even returned from the kitchen with the same spring roll in her hand as she handed me my order. The banh mi lacked the grilled flavor of what the bbq pork is supposed to have. It was overly sweet. The picked veggies were wet, as in, a slurpy wet sound when you take a bite. The concept is great with the jelly desserts and banh mi sandwiches but the execution is lacking at the moment.

This place is amazing. I had some organic tofu banh mi and veggies slim roll. Everything was made fresh. Also had strawberry mango tea. It was refreshing. My new fav place to grab something small and fresh.

Pandan Leaf offers teahouse drinks, desserts, and food. Slow service with hit or miss drinks and desserts. We arrived after eating at Buffalo Wild Wings late on a Saturday afternoon. The place is small, and three other parties were waiting or their orders. I ordered a Pandan Special dessert and my daughter ordered a Kiwi Berry Tea. We had to wait for 15 minutes for our order. Not sure why it took so long, but it might have to do with some of the parties in front of us ordering food. Drinks and desserts should take a different queue than the food orders do. One of the things about this place is that they like to mix jellies and tapiocas together. My daughter did not enjoy her drink — the tea did not blend well with the berries in the drink, but she did enjoy the jellies and tapioca in the bottom of her cup. She prefers the drinks at Kim’s Teahouse. My wife wanted a strawberry-banana smoothie, but banana is not offered on the menu. PDs menu is not your standard«10,000 different drinks» teahouse menu. I did enjoy my bean dessert. Three different beans, taro, jellies, tapioca and coconut milk. Very tasty and recommended. Several different sandwiches and salads are offered on the menu, but nothing that would draw me in for a meal. The«Slim Rolls» look interesting. At the time of this review, PL did not accept American Express. The total for our order was a little over $ 10. This was a bit higher than what I am used to paying at similar businesses. PL needs to somehow fix their delivery time. We may stop by again sometime and try a slim roll or another dessert, but hope things get better with the wait time if we do.
