For whatever reason, it seems I have been having the best service imaginable recently. It seems each just gets better and better. I now have a new place that will be one of my «go to» breakfast restaurants. I also discovered an excellent place for lunch, too. I had their lentil soup and much to my pleasure,… they have creamed spinach… yummmmmm! I went in for breakfast, which was excellent. I’ll get back to that quickly, but I had both the lentil soup and creamed spinach to go. I thought they had a number of special offerings, certainly items I really like. My breakfast was really excellent. It seems numerous reviews were written before the new ownership. I read that from other reviews. I want to clearly state… this is a neighborhood diner, and I think, having never been there before, my experience was terrific. My food, eggs, perfectly over easy, bacon, and fried potatoes(really good) w/wheat toast, along w/my coffee(excellent, BTW) was delish! Many times I never write a review after the first visit, but I had a special experience along w/my wife who had a Greek salad. Very enjoyable. The restaurant was busy. Well, that’s my review and I’m sticking to it. :-))

I have been a regular customer for over 5 years and the service is declining rapidly. The waitress aren’t attentive to the customer needs as in the pass, the coffee was very, very weak and not favorable. You actually have to run down a waitress for a warmup or refill. The food quality is down and the potions are less.

The Good: The food was well made and very tasty. The wait time between ordering and the food being delivered was very fast. The Bad: At 9 am on a Sunday the wait seemed completely disorganized and overwhelmed. We arrived with a large party, the hostess asked us to wait while they cleaned the large table in the back. 15 minutes later a new hostess is at the counter and doesn’t know anything about our party. In fact all of the wait staff says that they just arrived(which seemed odd since the dinner had just opened 3 hours earlier). The Ugly: This place was filthy. At 9am when we arrived, many of the tables had piles of dirty dished and hadn’t been bussed. While we waited for our table, 4 small groups of customers entered the diner and couldn’t find a clean table so they left. The table that we waited 20 minutes for was sticky with food and coffee stains. It was really gross.

I was actually skeptical to visit this spot after reading these reviews, but my husband and I really just wanted a quick, solid breakfast. We are happy to report that is exactly what we got! If you’re looking for over the top food or service, you probably shouldn’t be considering visiting a diner. We got the full diner experience with fast, friendly service and solid food.

Well, I returned to the Paradise and was a bit disappointed this time around. I had one of their breakfast specials($ 5.98) and it was just, well, blah. Not bad, but not anything to get excited about either. The coffee cup had lipstick still on it and I had to ask for a clean cup. The grits were a bit watery and the toast was white instead of the wheat I ordered. I guess the best I can say this time around is that the bacon was crisp. The service was indifferent at best. The waitperson who originally took my order didn’t listen and I had to repeat it and clarify it and she still got it wrong. She was distracted and not really paying attention. I might go back since it is close to BK Music, but I will probably seek another place next time around.

The Paradise Diner gets three stars because it’s exactly what you think it’s going to be going in. And I don’t mean that as a slam. It’s a neighborhood diner, serves breakfast starting in pre-dawn and closes at three after lunch. The interior looks like a real life mock-up of Bob’s Burgers. Florescent lights and, on the far wall, a TV streaming ESPN. That said, if you wake up craving your standard IHOP/Denny’s fare, and don’t want to throw money at a chain, you could do far worse than Paradise. And, additionally, the service I’ve always received has been very courteous and speedy. Provided, normally, by a single server who has the entire floor to herself, but zips between tables, filling coffees, smiling and making small-talk with regulars whose names she knows. And on each occasion that I’ve been there, the cook has come out during lulls to make sure everyone’s happy with his food. And once, on a visit with my family from Idaho, he came out with a replacement egg for my dad. No one had complained or said anything. I don’t even know if my dad had noticed one of his eggs was off. The cook flatly stated that he wasn’t pleased with how one of the eggs turned out and wanted to fix it because it was haunting him. So yeah, three stars may not seem glowing(because the foods as good as a couple of fried eggs and a shortstack could be), but if what you’re looking for is diner fare in a place with a nice staff, this place will fit the bill just fine.

My Co workers love this place, but its just ok in my book. The floors are sticky, the florescent lights are strong, and the servers just get confused. The first time I went, they screwed up everyone’s orders. I got the gyro which they could not figure out what i was ordering because I pronounced it Zhee-ro instead of gy-ro. Today i went back with my co-workers and ordered the fried fish special. OMG I found so many bones in my fish, it wasn’t normal. The sauteed cabbage was delish but the yams were too sweet. The spoon bread was drier than expected it to be. Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact that my co workers love this place so much, I’d give it a lower rating.

Yeah, diners are awesome. Always a good idea to check out a new place in a new neighborhood when out on a day trip. This little spot has cozy and cheerful décor, blue booths and creamy yellow walls. Its got a very good breakfast menu and several daily lunch specials.

Worst experience of my life. I wish there negative stars to truly show how bad our trip was. Rude waitress, horrible service, the food was actually ok but everything else about the place sucked. The waitress actually stood over me when she gave me the check to make sure I was going to tip her, she maybe knew if she didnt I probably wouldnt have tipped from the bad service? Do you self a favor and never ever go

We live close to Paradise Diner and years ago the quality and food were much, much better. When they first opened we went all the time and had many great breakfasts. Something has happened and not sure what. Cold biscuit, watery grits, fatty really greasy sausage and a runny omelet…2nd try we gave for it to comeback and now we will not return ever again. Even the wait staff seem off their game compared to how they were years ago. So now we go to McCleans or search out new options. Gave them two stars because the concept, space and location are great but that’s not enough to get me back.

So… I’m in love. Paradise Diner has added some upgrades! There’s a long bar type table with bar stools in the middle of the restaurant and new items for breakfast s/a(from what i remember) traditional irish breakfast, chorizo omelet, feta cheese and spinach omelet, and sun-dried black olive and red onion omelet. I was here a few months ago and the place looked slow and tired but now it’s lively and has the hustle and bustle of a great diner/breakfast place. I’m impressed! I like seeing that a restaurant is doing improvements to better their service and ambiance. We were seated right away(10am Saturday morning), the service was great, food came out fast and it was delicious! What we ordered: 1. Irish breakfast — 2 sausages, 2 ham/irish bacon, 2 eggs, sauteed mushrooms, stewed/grilled(?) tomatoes, rye toast and beans 2. Corned Beef hash with over medium eggs(perfectly done), grits, rye toast 3. Orange juice and coffee Cost: around $ 26 dollars(tip not included) Choices for my corned beef hash order was«apples, potatoes, or grits» and«toast, biscuits, pancakes, or french toast?» I did a double take and had to ask the waitress again to make sure i heard right … pancakes or french toast… i didn’t order it since i wanted rye bread but… pancakes or french toast… drool. Servings were big too so it’s a great place to go to when you want a BIG breakfast. Glad to know we don’t have to cross the river for a good breakfast place and Pony Pasture Park is just down the street if you want to walk after the meal which we did!

I’ve had breakfast there before, and it’s totally diner food. BUT, BF and I went for DINNER Saturday night. Food was really good and what you’d expect from a much pricier restaurant. We had salmon and rockfish, both with risotto and sauteed veggies. Cowboy sushi app was a little smooth, crunchy, spicy, sour… really good. Same diner atmosphere with silverware in paper baggies though, so there’s a disconnect between the food and your surroundings. But if you don’t care about atmosphere, the food is definitely worth checking out!

Standard diner fare — breakfast, sandwiches and fried things — at the far end of the Stratford Hills shopping center strip. The staff are friendly, if not always on top of things(service is slow and forgetful, but they’ll remedy anything that they get wrong). Really, my only serious complaint is the atmosphere. Lots of fluorescent lighting and decidedly dirty carpet. If the carpet ever goes and is replaced by non-porous flooring, I will be in here pretty regularly since I live in the area.

Come for the local atmosphere. The food is straightforward and unpretentious. The service is quick, friendly, and solid. Cash and checks only!

The friendly staff is the main reason for the 2 stars because otherwise, I might have given a 1-star review, which I don’t like to do. I really wanted this place to be good and I can tell they have a loyal clientèle by the crowd, but I just wasn’t impressed with the food. My friend and I went for dinner during the week. He had an open-faced roast beef which was rubbery. I had chicken fried steak that wasn’t much different than a Swanson frozen dinner. It definitely has the comfort food vibe going on and the prices are very reasonable, but it wasn’t for me.

Paradise Diner is a great breakfast spot. You’ll find the standard bacon, eggs, etc., along with some yummy specials like the Mediterranean Omelet with spinach and feta. The nice thing about this casual restaurant is it feels at home. You go in, get your table and some coffee then place your order. It’s one of those places where there’s always someone coming by with a pot asking if you want a refill. Service is efficient, friendly and relaxed. All the breakfast food was cooked just right, and my Greek omelet was huge. I don’t live near this place, but if I did I’m sure I’d be a regular.
