Good Pizza, nice thick crust. I enjoy there specialty slice the most. Friendly staff.

Variable Quality and Attitude. I am doing work at Brookhaven National Lab from time to time, and when I am here, we usually are working late, missing meals. Since the gang is very pizza-centric, we hit the local places. I have had pizza at this place for years now(and at their other place, Middle Island Pizza) and only one thing is consistent: the variable quality. Pizza in the USA has but three general ingredients: crust, sauce, and cheese. If one is out of whack, the whole item is a failure. Given that, I have had excellent pizza here. At other times, I have had horrible pizza here. Same pie, different day. And the main problem is the crust. Either they are rushing the rise on the dough, not kneading/stretching to develop gluten properly, or not baking at the right temp, but something is often not right. Tough, cracker-like consistency; doughy, overly sweet paste-y chewiness; or perfectly done. I have had all here. Unfortunately, more often than not, it’s in the below-average category. A great silent review happens with every take-away order: look what’s left. If there are a bunch of uneaten crusts left over, or worse yet, uneaten slices, it was another off-night from this place. And face it: if one has ever made their pizza from scratch as I do at home, it’s not difficult. Requires only some basic care, but this factor seems to be lacking here. Coupled with the rushed feel, even when there is not much going on in the place or in the ovens, and the impersonal service that sometimes occurs, not really worth going back. The Middle Island-Ridge area seems to be yet another pizza desert. At BNL, we continue to look… and wait… for something new, and hopefully better– to turn up.

A solid pizzeria. They’ve got great slices and a nice variety. Tap water is free to drink as it should be, and they take credit cards with no minimum(or if there is, it’s something low like $ 5). A big plus is the size of the place. You’ll always find a seat, especially since they have the sit-down area for dining, on the side of the building. The pizza is always good, though once in a while it can be a tad on the greasy side. Not a deal breaker though. They also offer a great array of catering sandwiches that are out of this world! We bought the pesto mayo chicken hero for a party, and it was gone within 5 minutes. Definitely worth becoming your go-to place if you live in the area.

Friendly, fast service, casual atmosphere, decent salads, Sicilian style pizza is huge, thick crust and piled high with toppings– almost like my aunt Mary used to make it. We were hoping for a glass of wine with dinner but we were told they don’t have a liquor license yet.(7÷24÷15) I would go again, just get a bottle first.

Never had something that I disliked at Alfredo’s. They are the best pizza around. Not to mention the dinners and heros. Their home delivery is always less time than they say. Great place.

Great place! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl! Their house salad dressing will make you want to eat 10 salads. I love their chicken pizzaiola but everything I’ve ever had has consistently been good – even down to their pizza.

I can only comment on the pizza and garlic knots as this is the only thing I’ve had here but they are both outstanding. This is my favorite pizza place in the area. I will go out of my way to eat or get takeout here. I only wish they made their mac and cheese pizza more often! They had it once when I went in but never again. It was a_mazing

Pretty good but Several times I’ve picked up food only to get home and realize the order was wrong. Staff always seems really overworked and frustrated. Delivery is always prompt and accurate, that’s your best choice.

Awesome Grandma pizza — THEBESTGRANDMAPIZZAINSUFFOLKCOUNTY Unfortunately, Cugini in Mineola is the absolute tops for this pizza… Cannot be compared but Alfredos is pretty close. I have never gotten anything bad here, but I have been treated poorly by the staff. Normally the counter people are very rude, so I return the rudeness. I have asked«May I please have two slices of regular, hold the attitude» once. They can be that bad and deserve that to make them realize that CUSTOMERS are the ones paying their salaries. About two years back I witnessed two of the pizza guys arguing behind the counter, in front of dozens of waiting customers. The senior pizza guy diffused it after a couple minutes, but it was uncomfortable for everyone in the place. I would rather the people cooking the food CONCENTRATE on cooking the food. However, there is a dark raven haired girl that works there that is EXTREMELYNICE(good looking too) that always calls me sweetie or honey and makes the whole experience worthwhile and keeps me coming back(the grandma pizza does too!) She is an asset to this business but unfortunately, since she is so good at customer service, she will probably move on to a more lucrative career. Since they have«expanded» the whole attitude of the staff has gotten worse. Also, we don’t need to see every waitress’ booty. I think the fact that the girls are allowed to wear«yoga» pants to work, and not cover their butts up at all is unprofessional. Don’t get me wrong, the girls LOOKGREATINTHEM — but it is just inappropriate. That is really not a main issue with the restaurant, just a minor pet peeve.

Alfredo’s Pizzeria is my go-to place when I’m visiting my Grandfather on Long Island. I had only ordered take out from them in the past and visited their newly renovated dining room about a month ago. On a Saturday night, the place was empty. We later found out that it was graduation weekend in town and things were very quiet. Our waiter was incredibly kind and just there right amount of attentive and chatty. The renovations look very nice and it was a comfortable atmosphere. For three people we ordered a large salad, a veal parmesan sub and an eggplant parmesan sub. All three items were delicious! They make a special tomato vinaigrette in-house that was so tasty I ended up dipping my sandwich in it. Almost like an italian salsa, it was perfect on the salad and added incredible flavor. The sandwiches were both huge and stuffed with veal and eggplant. I’m picky about eggplant parm, and these were sliced thin and paired with a delicious marinara and mozzarella. The veal was tender and not dry, which is sometimes difficult to do. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and will be bringing home a quart/gallon/largest size they have available of their salad dressing.

I ordered one of there gluten free pizzas. I had green peppers on it and they did place them on the pie. Why did I give them one star is the pie was junk. No taste, and I paid 13.99 wow. I did buy there regular pies and never had a bad one so I thought they would put some effort in the gluten free pie. They did themselves a disservice!

Greasy mess of a pizza :( One of the better Pizza places as far as Suffolk County goes… and thats not saying very much! But, around the area it is considered decent to good by comparison. Regular Pizza is so greasy… lots of oil, crust is a bit thin even for Neapolitan style. Sauce is O.K. but too much cheese… guys please, less cheese more dough! After the renovations they made to the place… I guess they are recouping the cost by cheating the customer on quality… shame on you guys! Be carefull not to drive off the curb!

I think I got the same tall blonde woman that Coleen R. refered to in her review. Confrontational and will not listen to any customer. She claimed I didn’t pay the LAST time I was in the place(She took my order, but a guy took my money) I paid twice to avoid any problems, but I was so mad I just walked out without my take-out order. I am spreading this around BNL… she is bad for business and we will not be coming back until she is gone!

I think once you are east of exit 64 on the LIE the bar for good pizza is set much lower. I am sorry but the reviews here exalting Alfredos as the best pizza in NY are completely wrong. The pizza is not bad but it is not superb either. They have some good specialty slices, and do a brisk lunch business. Perhaps they are being compared to fellow Eastern LI pizza places that are owned by the same people… Or perhaps it seems to be a better place to eat than the crappy Ridge deli. Whatever the case is, whenever you are in Ridge NY your culinary options are severely limited and you could do far worse than this place so good for the area, but not for the region.

Moved to the area 3 years ago and and discovered Alfredo’s Pizza when they bought a product that I sell to food establishments. Of course I ordered a regular pie to show my patrionage and when I did I kept going back for more as I thought the pizza was excellent! Service is quick also! Picked up my sons girlfriend from airport and stopped in to pickup lunch and she liked it so much she requested it again before she left! You want good food I recommend Alfredo’s!

Whenever I come back to the Island, I have a list of must-have items, which includes *something* from a pizza shop. Today I decided to go in for Stromboli, salad and two fried Oreos. They did not disappoint. Even tastier than I remember.

Fantastic pizza! I was in NY visiting family for xmas and my uncle took me here– the place is straight Long Island no-nonsense. We sat in the back room and had the Crispino, which was incredible. Long Island is not somewhere I think of for outstanding food, but Alfredo’s Pizzeria stands apart. Next time I’m out there, I will definitely have another slice!

Sausage and pepperoni Stromboli. That’s the dish for me. Not too much cheese good balance of the two meats and a little spice. Marinara could use more«zing» but I’m sure that’s not every ones taste. Pizza is average for me but I’ve been told I’m a bit picky on pizza. If you stop by for a slice, take this Stromboli home. You won’t be disappointed.
